GETTING STARTED
BEFORE FIRST USE
Unpack the appliance but keep all packaging materials until you have made sure
your new egg cooker is undamaged and in good working order. Plastic wrapping
can be a suocation hazard for babies and young children, so ensure all packaging
materials are out of their reach.
Inspect the cord and plug for damage. Do not use the appliance if the appliance
or its cord have been damaged.
Make sure the appliance is disconnected from the power supply.
Wash all parts that come into contact with food with soft cloth or sponge in warm

PREPARING EGGS
FOR BOILED EGGS
FOR POACHED EGGS AND OMELETTES
Eggs have an air pocket in the large end of their shells,
which expands during boiling and can crack the egg. To
prevent this, gently pierce the large end of the egg with the
Piercing Pin at the bottom of the Measuring Cup.
NOTE: For safety, a small protective cap is included on the
sharp Piercing Pin. Remove this protective cap just before
piercing eggs and be sure to replace it immediately after
the Piercing Pin is cleaned and wiped dry.
1. Grease the Poaching Trays well with butter, margarine,
vegetable oil or oil spray.
Be careful when piercing as the Piercing Pin is sharp.
CAUTION:
2. Break an egg into each tray. If cooking omelettes,
pour the omelette mixture into the trays.
10
INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE STARTING, ENSURE THAT THE ON/OFF SWITCH IS SET TO THE O POSITION.
1. Determine the quantity of eggs you wish to cook.
Using the Water Quantity Guide on Page 8 and the
Measuring Cup, carefully add the required amount of
cold tap water into the Heating Vessel. Wipe up any
spills immediately.
NOTE: Use the larger water quantity specified in the Water
Quantity Guide when cooking a combination of poached
eggs / omelettes / boiled eggs.
2. Place the Egg Rack on top of the Heating Vessel.
3. Once you have prepared the eggs as described in
the ‘Preparing Eggs’ section, place the pierced eggs
in the Egg Rack with pierced ends upwards. Place
the greased Poaching Trays and their egg contents
onto the Egg Rack. You can cook any combination of
boiled eggs and poached eggs/omelettes provided
they fit on the Egg Rack.
If anything spills onto the Egg Rack or the Heating Vessel,
clean it up immediately before continuing.
4. If desired, and if not boiling any eggs, place the Steam
Tray above the Poaching Trays to steam other food
during cooking.
11
INSTRUCTIONS (Cont.)
5. Place the cover over the Egg Tray (or the Steam

FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
Q. How many eggs can I cook at the same time?
A. You can cook up to 7 boiled eggs OR 3 poached eggs/omelettes at the same
time. You can also cook a combination of boiled eggs and poached eggs/omelettes

adjust as desired.
Q. For 1, 2, or 3 omelettes, do I use the same quantity of water?
