It is the responsibility of the installer to check that the installation parameters meet the requirements
of the products, and any relevant regulations.

Thank you for purchasing a quality
Creda Sunfan Heater
manufactured in England.
Please take time to read this manual thoroughly to familiarise yourself with all
instructions, BEFORE beginning installation.
ALL WIRING AND INSTALLATION MUST BE SUPERVISED BY A SUITABLY
QUALIFIED PERSON.
The heater is intended for connection to fixed wiring.
Installation and wiring must be in accordance with the current edition of BS.7671
(the ‘IET Wiring Regulations’) in force at the time of installation.
Installations outside England and Wales must also conform to any local or
appropriate regulations in effect.
The protective fuse rating must NOT exceed 15A and a means for disconnection in
all poles MUST BE incorporated in the fixed wiring in accordance with the Wiring
Regulations.
This heater is intended for high level wall mounting in industrial/commercial
premises. However, it should NOT be used in corrosive atmospheres.
The heater should be fixed to a wall at a minimum height of 1.8m and there MUST
be a minimum gap of 150mm between the top of the heater and the ceiling.
Therefore the heater should NOT be installed in areas where the ceiling height is
less than 2.3m.
As a general rule, fan heating is NOT recommended for rooms greater than 5.0m
high. 7
9. The arm cover can now be replaced and retained with the two screws (see Diagram 2.0).
10. The
Sunfan Heater
should now be run to establish that it is working correctly and that it
is correctly aligned.
Should the heater require re-alignment, repeat section (8) & (9).
NOTE:- IF THE LOCKING SCREW IS NOT TOO TIGHT A SMALL AMOUNT OF
ADJUSTMENT SHOULD BE POSSIBLE WITHOUT REPEATING SECTIONS (8) & (9).

ADDITIONAL ACCESSORIES
6
The back nut on the cable gland should now be fully tightened to secure the supply
cable.
The terminal marked “L1” is required only if the hot/cold option is taken.
This will require a separate remotely mounted
“DCS Remote Dual Control Switch
(Catalogue No. 82815906)”
available from your local electrical wholesaler or distributor.
Wiring instructions are supplied with the control switch, and as one of the internal
connections in the
Sunfan Heater
will require re-location, this work should only be carried
out by a competent electrician.
8. The
Sunfan Heater
can now be pointed in the required direction by slackening the locking
screw, aligning the heater and re-tightening the locking screw (see Diagram 2.6).
WARNING:
DO NOT SWITCH THE HEATER ON BEFORE REPLACING THE ARM
COVER.
3
PROTECTION
If the heater is to be installed near an adjacent wall, the heater should be parallel
to, or angled away from it, and there should be a minimum gap of 300mm
between the adjacent wall and any part of the heater (see Diagram 1.0).
The heater MUST NOT be mounted immediately below a fixed electrical socket
outlet, neither should it be directed at any surface nearer than 1.5m.
This heater is protected by two thermal cut-outs.
TC1 being factory re-settable will operate only in the event of a major problem such as fan
blades being stalled.
TC2 is a cyclic device and will protect the heater in the event of the airflow being obstructed.
TC2 will reset when the fault condition has been rectified.
This heater is designed for a long, maintenance free, service life.
The motor is fully enclosed and should require no attention. However, if the heater is
located in a very dusty environment, it is recommended that any build-up of debris is
removed periodically.
MAINTENANCE
4
1. Remove the two screws from the arm cover.
Remove the arm cover (see Diagram 2.0).
2. Pull the wall plate down and away.
3. Return the
Sunfan Heater
to its box for safe
keeping, retaining the wall plate.
4. Use the wall plate as a template to mark out, drill and wall plug the three fixing holes.
See Diagram 1.0 for minimum clearance from floor, walls and ceiling.
Make sure that the wall plate is vertical.
Note:
The heater will accept cable entry from the top, bottom or rear.
If the rear cable entry is to be used, the cable gland can be discarded.
If either top or bottom entry is required use a knife or similar sharp tool to remove the
thin web of material in the threaded part of the appropriate end of the wall plate.
Alternatively, the gland can be screwed into the required end and tightened with an
appropriate spanner which will result in the thin web of material being removed.
5. Offer the wall plate to the wall and attach with TWO No.10 x 1.5” (or longer) round head
screws in holes A and B only.
DO NOT fix screw in hole C at this stage (see Diagram 2.3).
INSTALLING THE HEATER
5
6. With the wall plate firmly attached to the wall, latch the heater to the wall plate by
pushing back and down. Secure the heater to the wall/wall plate using a third
No.10 x 1.5” (or longer) round head screw through hole C (see Diagram 2.4).
7. Make sure the mains electricity supply is off.
The
Sunfan Heater
can now be connected to a suitable single-phase electrical supply
using appropriate cable.
If either top or bottom cable entry is required, fit the cable gland in the appropriate
threaded end of the wall plate.
If rear cable entry is required, the cables should project through the hole at the lower
edge of the wall plate.
Pass the twin cable through the cable gland and connect the brown insulated cable to the
terminal marked “L” on the terminal block.
Connect the blue insulated cable to the terminal marked “N” on the terminal block (see
Diagram 2.5).
WARNING:
IT IS MOST IMPORTANT TO ENSURE THAT THE SCREWS IN THE
TERMINAL BLOCK ARE FULLY TIGHTENED.
FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN THE CONNECTION
OVERHEATING AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE APPLIANCE.
