Removing the Coravin System from the Box
To remove your Coravin 1000 from the box, gently grasp the unit around the logo
and lift upwards.
Peel back the protective packaging tape – this protects it from scung during
shipment.
Carefully remove and discard the yellow covers on the spout and the needle.
These coverings are for shipping purposes only and are not needed to operate or
maintain the Coravin System. PLEASE BE CAREFUL – THE NEEDLE IS SHARP.

GETTING STARTED
MAKE SURE the clamp
is up to easily access
the black cup that will
contain the Coravin
Capsule

TWIST o capsule cup
2.
INSERT Coravin Capsule
TWIST the cup back onto
the unit quickly and tightly,
then give it an extra half
turn for proper seal
3.
SLIDE clamp down
4.
DO NOT UNTWIST CAPSULE
CUP UNTIL CORAVIN
CAPSULE IS EMPTY. THIS WILL
RESULT IN THE LOSS OF
UNUSED GAS.
INSERTING THE CAPSULE
In the down position
SQUEEZE clamp and
PLACE on bottle
CHECK the needle to
ensure it’s fully tighten
into the system

ENSURE needle guide is on
top of cork (foil)
RELEASE clamp

PLACE bottle into a
Coravin wine bottle sleeve
and zip it closed

ACCESSING THE BOTTLE
TAP trigger quickly
(a fraction of a second) to
release a short burst of gas
to clear needle of old wine
4.
PRESS needle through the cork and
ENSURE needle is all the way down
5.
GRIP bottle with your
dominant hand with
spout facing the glass

TILT bottle up as shown so
the base of bottle is higher
than spout
3.
NOTE: For best results,
ensure spout is pointed
at the side of the glass
INSERT fingers of your
other hand through the handle,
leaving your thumb free

TILT
UP
POURING THE WINE
PRESS trigger (1/2 second) and
quickly release to pour wine
4.
TILT bottle to upright position to stop pouring
5.
REPEAT when wine slows or
stops
NOTE: Longer
trigger presses will
be needed as the
bottle empties.
NOTE: Coravin may
hiss, releasing excess
pressure from bottle.
GRASP clamp firmly and
PULL up on handle to
remove needle
SQUEEZE clamp to remove
from bottle
PLACE on stand and
TAP trigger quickly
(a fraction of a second)
to clear any excess
wine

PLACE spout of the Cora-
vin System under a small
stream of warm water to
rinse; allow water to flow
out of needle

DO NOT PRESS THE TRIGGER
WHILE RINSING THE SPOUT.
REMOVE from and
PRESS trigger to release a
short burst of gas to clear
any excess water from
system
2.
DRY with soft cloth to re-
move any water that may
be left on device
3.
YOUR CORAVIN SYSTEM
is now ready to use.
