Basket Catch Adapter
NOT COMPATIBLE WITH 6.5 GALLON BASKET
Mark mounting hole locations onto the basket by placing the new feet on the right side of
2 adjacent feet on the foundry and using them as a template as shown in Figure 1. Locate
them so the resting surface of the new brackets will sit slightly below the old side feet.
Pay attention to correctly locating the new feet by referencing the picture of the complete
installation at the end of these instructions. Installing these too low will make the basket
incompatible with the small batch adapter ring.
After marking the locations, use a punch and hammer to place a dimple on each hole
location as shown in Figure 2. This step is important to provide accuracy when drilling.
Using a drill and a 5/32 size drill bit drill the holes out as shown in Figure 3. If no 5/32
Drill bit is available, producing any size hole ranging from .150 (5/32) to .172 (11/64)
will be acceptable.
Clean up and remove any hanging burrs on the inside of the basket.
Mount by using a bolt through the new foot and basket, secured with a washer and nut on
the inside of the basket.
The final installation should look like the picture in Figure 3.
This will now hang on the kettle wall. Discard the basket support ring before use.
