WARNINGS
This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar
applications such as: sta kitchen areas in shops, oces and other
working
- environments;
- farm houses;
- by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
- bed and breakfast type environments.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer,
its service agent or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a
hazard.
If the kettle is overlled, boiling water may be ejected.
WARNING: Position the lid so that steam is directed away from the
handle.
WARNING: Do not remove the lid while the water is boiling.
The kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.
CAUTION: Insure that the kettle is switched o before removing it from
its stand.
The appliance must not be immersed.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless
they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord
out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have

been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance
in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance.

descaling please see section “Cleaning and descaling on page 6.
WARNING: Risks of injuries if you don't use this appliance correctly.
The heating element surface is subject to residual heat after use.
WARNING: Avoid spillage on the connector.
The surfaces are liable to get hot during use.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read all instructions carefully and save them for future reference.
This appliance is only used for heating and boiling drinking water only. Under no
circumstances should this appliance be used to heat or boil any other liquids or foodstus.
Do not place the appliance near the edge of a bench or table during operation.
Ensure that the surface is level, clean and free of water.
Keep the appliance clear of walls, curtains and other heat or steam sensitive materials.
Do not place anything on top of the lid.
Do not touch hot surfaces. Use the handle for lifting and carrying the jug.
Do not open the jug lid during operation as scalding may occur.
Extreme caution must be used when moving the jug containing hot liquid.
Never ll the jug beyond the maximum level indication.
Do not operate the appliance without water. Always ll the jug to at least the minimum level
indication.
Do not remove the jug from the power base during operation.
Always turn o and unplug the appliance from the mains socket when not in use and before
cleaning.
Do not leave the appliance unattended.
Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may result in re,
electrical shock or injury.
Do not use outdoors.
Be careful when opening the lid immediately after the water has boiled, the steam coming
out of the kettle is very hot constituting a risk of scalding.
Make sure the bottom of the jug and the power base are dry before placing the jug onto the
power base.
Allow the appliance to cool down in between brewing cycles.

OPERATION
Before rst use, ll the kettle with water up to the maximum level and let the water
boil once, pour out the hot water and rinse the kettle once more.
Boiling Water
1. Remove the kettle from the base.
2. Fill the kettle with desired amount of water through the spout or the open lid.
Press the lid release button to open lid.
The water amount ranges from the minimum amount 0. 5L to the maximum
amount 1.0L.
3. Close the lid until a click is heard and place the kettle on the base.
4. Insert the plug into the mains socket.
5. Press the ON/OFF button. The water is being heated.
The power indicator light will illuminate and then ash after about 5 seconds.
The factory set temperature (100°C) indicator light will illuminate.
6. You can set the temperature to 75°C, 85°C or 90°C by repeatedly pressing the
temperature setting button.
The set temperature can be changed while the water is being heated.
The corresponding temperature indicator light will illuminate.
7. When the water has reached the set temperature, all indicator lights will go out.
You can turn o the kettle at any time by pressing the ON/OFF button.
Keep Warm Function
You can activate the keep warm function with any temperature setting.
Press the keep warm button.
The indicator light on this button will ash.
After about 5 seconds, the power indicator light will turn to illuminate.
If the current water temperature is lower than the set keep-warm temperature, the
kettle will boil the water up to the set keep- warm temperature, and then it will
start to keep warm. To the contrary, the indicator light will stop ashing until the

water temperature reduces to equal to the set keep-warm temperature, and then the
indicator light on the keep warm button will keep ashing and the kettle will start to
keep warm.
To deactivate the function, press the button again.
NOTE: The keep warm function will switch o automatically after 40 minutes. All
indicator lights will go out.
CLEANING AND DESCALING
Always switch o and unplug the appliance from the mains socket and
allow it to cool down before cleaning.
Clean the exterior of the kettle and the power base using a damp cloth.
Dry thoroughly.
Clean the interior of the kettle with a soft sponge and warm, soapy
water. If your hand does not t in the lid opening, swish warm, soapy
water around inside the kettle with the lid closed. Rinse any remaining
soapy water from the kettle.
Do not use any abrasive or chemical cleaning agent.
Never immerse the kettle and the power base in water.
Regularly descale the kettle using a specic descaler.
