Operation
Safe Handlingof Gasoline:
1. Toavoid personal injuryor property damageuse
extremecare in handlinggasoline. Gasolineis
extremely flammableand the vapors areexplo-
sive. Seriouspersonaliniurycanoccurwhengasoline
isspilledonyourselfor yourclotheswhichcanignite.
Washyourskinandchangeclothesimmediately.

b. Neverfillcontainersinsidea vehbb or ona
truckor trailerbedwitha plastb liner.Always
placecontainerson thegroundawayfrom
yourvehblebeforefilling.

ontheground.Ifthis isnotpossibb,then
refuelsuchequipmentona trailerwitha
portabbcontainer,ratherthanfromagasoline

shaft,

3. Loosen,butdo NOTremove,thehexcapscrewon

4. Balancethedeckbyusingawrenchto turnthe
adiustmentgear(foundimmediatelybehindthehex

Parking Brake Adjustment
WARNING:Neverattempt to adjust the
brakes while the engine isrunning.
Always disengagePTO,moveshift
lever into neutral position, stop engine
and remove keyto prevent unintended
starting.
If thetractordoesnotcometoa completestop whenthe
brakepedaliscompletelydepressed,orifthetractor's
rearwheelscanroll withtheparkingbrakeapplied,the
brakeisin needofadiustment.Thebrakedisccanbe
foundontherightsideofthetransmissioninthe rearof
thetractor.Adiustifnecessaryasfollows:
1. Lookingatthetransmissionfromtherightsideofthe
tractor,locatethecompressionspringandbrakedisc.
