SETTING UP TV LISTENING DEVICE TO TV USING DAC-202
Note: Illustrations are approximations of set up as each TV Listening system will
have similar components that may vary slightly
Turn off all related audio and video devices before installation. Reactivate those
devices only after all connections are complete.
TV-LISTENING DEVICE
1. Plug the connection cable packaged with the TV Listening system to the
AUDIO port located on the back of the TV Listening system. Follow the
instructions outlined in the TV-Listening system manual; in this particular
example, the blue end of the connection cord plugs into the AUDIO port on
the back of the base
2. Plug the other end of the connection cable shown above in the black portion
of the audio RCA adapter Y-cord

CONNECTING TV-LISTENING DEVICE TO DAC-202
3. Slide the switch on the side of the DAC-202 to OPTICAL
4. Connect RCA ends of audio cable from above (packaged with TV Listening
system) to the AUDIO R-L output on the back of the DAC-202, making sure
red plug connects to red port, and white plug connects to white port
CONNECTING DAC-202 TO YOUR TV:
5. Locate the OPTICAL port on the back of the TV. It looks like this:
6. NOTE: it may be necessary to remove a rubber flap that covers the port as
shown below:

7. Connect one end of the Digital Optical Cord (packaged with the DAC-202) in
the black U-shaped optical cable port (not the coaxial port with protruding
silver one) located on the other end of the DAC-202
8. Plug the other end into the OPTICAL cable port located on the back of the TV
9. Connect the AC Adapter (packaged with DAC-202) to the DC IN port located
on the TV Digital Connector and plug the other end in a wall outlet.
