This Quick Guide does not replace

the Operating manual.

Please read all instructions, especially

the "Important Safety Instructions",

before using the coffee system.

First steps to use

Touch controls

s Turns the coffee system On/Off

< Left arrow, scrolls through program options

OK Confirms selected program options and save settings

> Right arrow, scrolls through program options

- Hot water

Display

Drink selection: coffee,

J = hot milk, L = milk froth

User profile: n for up to 9 different users

Maintenance programs: G = milk pipework, brew unit, descale, rinse

Settings: C = To customize your coffee system

Filling the water tank

Filling the bean container

Preparing drinks

^ Fill the tank with

fresh, cold tap

water to the

"Max." mark.

Pull the bean

container out.

Push the lid back and fill the container

with roasted coffee beans.

Push the lid back into place.

Place a cup under the main dis

penser, and select the desired drink.

Confirm with OK.

Operation

Double portion

When using beans, a double portion of coffee or espresso can be selected.

Tap OK a second time, while the display reads "2 portions?".

Interrupting preparation

Tap OK when you see "Stop" in the display.

Beverages with milk

Preparing coffee and espresso from ground coffee

Setting serving sizes (espresso, coffee, hot milk and milk froth)

Fill the stainless

steel milk con

tainer approx. 1"

- 1 ½" (2 - 3 cm)

from the top with

cold milk.

Open the appli

ance door. Hang

the milk con

tainer inside the

door.

Close the lid.

Be sure it is

seated correctly.

Place the desired

cup under the

main dispensers.

Cleaning and Care

All parts except for the brew unit, bean container, main dispenser cover, stainless

steel millk container and lid are dishwasher safe.

Before use:

Be sure to enter the water hardness, see "Settings - Water hardness" in the Op

erating Instructions.

Regular maintenance:

Follow all maintenance instructions as they appear in the display.

The following must be cleaned regularly:

Rinsing milk pipework (after each use)

Clean the niche

under the water

tank.

Clean the connecting piece in the door

between the brew unit and the main

dispenser with a damp cloth without

removing the lubricant for the cap.

Lubricate the cap once a month with

the supplied silicone grease.

Wash the bean

container by

hand with hot

water and liquid

dish soap.

^ The drip tray can

be cleaned in the

dishwasher.

^ Wipe any soiling

from the inside of

the machine with

a damp cloth. A

vacuum can be

used on dry cof-

fee grounds.

^ Wipe out the drip

tray on the inside

of the door.

"Maintenance"

G, confirm with

OK.

Select "Rinse

milk pipework",

confirm with OK.

Follow the in

structions in the

display.

Select "Start",

confirm with OK.

Cleaning milk pipework (at end of day)

Discard any leftover milk, clean the stainless steel milk container and main

dispenser

^ Pull the main dis-

penser all the

way down a and

pull the cover for-

ward to remove

^ Turn the cover

around, slide the

insert upwards

and out. Clean

both parts thor-

oughly.

Clean the milk

container by

hand with hot

water. Ensure

that the rim and

seals are

cleaned thor-

oughly. Soiling

can cause the

machine to fault.

Rinse the handle

under running

water, use a

damp cloth to re

move any milk

residue.

Select

"Maintenance"

G, confirm with

OK.

Select "Clean

milk pipework",

confirm with OK.

Follow the in

structions in the

display.

Select "Start",

confirm with OK.

Pull both rubber

stoppers out and

clean the stop

pers and nozzles

thoroughly.

Replace the rub

ber stoppers.

After cleaning,

slide the nozzles

back into the ma

chine firmly up

wards to ensure

they are securely

in place.

Slide the insert

back into the

cover until it

clicks into place.

Pull the nozzles

of the main dis

penser out.

Replace the

cover and slide

the main dis

penser up.

Cleaning the brew unit

"Please start the cleaning program" (degrease the brew unit) appears in the

display

Descaling (approx. 20 - 30 min.)

Important: Only use the supplied descaling tablets. Always place the cleaning

container in position to prevent descaling solution from splashing the exterior of

the coffee system, causing damage.

The CVA 4066 (plumbed version) switches automatically from the main water sup

ply to operating with the water tank for the descaling program.

gin the cleaning program.
