FOREWORD
The musical excerpts in this book are designed to be played by everyone, whether the player
has had previous musical training or not
.
To play the melody, read the notes on the staff in the standard way or play from the large red
melody note names to the left of each note
.
The accompaniment may be played by using the chord symbols with the "Pointer System" or
any other chord system .The chord symbols are in circles, example (c) ,above the melody
notes. The accompaniment may also be played from standard music notation, or from the note
names which are printed in black to the left of the notes themselves
,
The Automatic Tone Control settings ("registrations") in the book are shown in sequence as
theyphysicailyappear on the organ itself reading from left to right -PEDAL, UPPER. VIBRATO,
LOWER followed by COUPLERS &SUSTAIN. Only the registrations necessary to provide the
desired effect for the musical example are given. In some instances, therefore, you will find
registrations for PEDAL, LOWER and/or COUPLERS &SUSTAIN sections omitted.
