Slide pole
out of non-

Remove the
second pole
retaining
collar and
both blade
retaining brackets
Retrofitting the Flexco ConShear Blades to the Martin QB1
1. Remove Tension
While applying tension, li
ratchet knob and rotate 180º
to remove tension
Allow blade to back away
from the pulley
2. Remove Blade
Loosen both
jamb nuts
and lock
screws on
both blade
retaining
brackets
Loosen and
slide both blade retaining brackets to the side to free
the blade
Safely remove the blade
3. Remove Pole
Loosen both
lock screws
on both pole
retaining
collars
Loosen the
three retaining
screws on
the tensioner
coupling
Rotate tensioner
coupling and pull out
of the tensioner
Slide pole out of the
tensioner and remove
tensioner coupling
4. Install Flexco Blade Retaining Brackets
Slide one Flexco pole clamp kit
on each end
5. Reinstall the Pole
Reinstall pole retaining collar on non-tensioner side
Slide the pole into non-tensioner side
Slide tensioner
coupling onto pole end
Parts/Tools Needed
• Flexco RBQB1 Blade • Flexco QB1 Pole Clamp Kit
• Adjustable Wrench
5. Reinstall the Pole (continued)
Slide the pole into
the tensioner and
turn tensioner
coupling, locking it
into the tensioner
Position and lock
retaining screws on
both pole retaining
collars
6. Install the Flexco Blade
Install Flexco blade on to the formed rib
Center blade and slide both Flexco pole clamp kit into
blade notches

Tighten both Flexco
pole clamp kit lock
screws on both blade
retaining brackets
7. Re-tension Flexco Blade
With blade held to the belt, rotate the tensioner
coupling in tension direction and tighten the three
locking screws
With ratchet knob
turned back 180º,
rotate tensioner
number of clicks
listed on the
tensioner decal for
blade width or in
the tension table
below:
Conrm correct blade
heel gap per Flexco
guidelines
