lected a quality product. The instructions for use

are a part of the product. They contain important

information about the safety, use and disposal of

the product. Before using the product, please

learn about all the safety information and usage

instructions. Only use the product as described

and for the speciﬁed applications. If you lend the

product to someone else, please also give all the

instructions.

The product is only designed for toasting slices

of bread, waﬄes and rolls. The product is for

indoor household use only. It is not intended for

use with other foods, other materials, or for com-

mercial or industrial purposes. Any other use is

prohibited and may result in injury or product

damage. The manufacturer accepts no liability

for any damage caused by improper use.

The outer surface or accessible

surface of the product may get

This product has a polarized

plug (one blade is wider than

the other). To reduce the risk of

electric shock, this plug is in-

tended to ﬁt into a polarized

outlet only one way. If the plug

does not ﬁt fully into the outlet,

reverse the plug. If it still does

not ﬁt, contact a qualiﬁed

electrician. Do not attempt to

modify the plug in any way.

When using an extension cord:

always use the lowest setting.

Before use

Note: Remove all packaging material from the

product.

The product is equipped with heating ele-

ments and may emit a slight burning smell

when ﬁrst switched on. This is normal and

will dissipate after a short period of time

with adequate ventilation (e.g. open win-

dows).

Connect the power plug into a suitable

outlet, refer to section “Technical Data”.

Turn the browning selector knob 7 clock-

wise to the highest setting (marking = highest

digit).

Slide the bread carriage lever 3 down to

activate the product without bread, the blue

indicator by the stop button 4 will light up.

The product will automatically stop and

release the bread carriage lever 3.

Repeat the above steps a few times to

reduce the burning smell before toasting

bread.

Use

Connect the power plug into a suitable outlet.

Turn the browning selector knob 7 to the

desired browning setting, (lowest number =

lightest, highest number = darkest).

Note: The ﬁrst time using the product we

recommend starting at browning level 3 to

4. Diﬀerent browning levels may be used

based on diﬀerent types of bread and

personal preference.

Below is a reference only:

Browning level 2 for white bread

Browning level 5-6 for rye bread or brown

bread.

Note: Reduce the browning selector knob

7 when toasting fewer slices of bread.

Place bread into toasting slot 2, slide the

bread carriage lever 3 down until it clicks

into place, the blue indicator lamp by the

stop button 4 will light up up.

The automatic bread centering function will

center bread inserted into the toasting slot 2.

Note: The bread carriage lever 3 will not

stay down unless the product is powered on.

The toast will pop up automatically when the

browning process ﬁnished.

Stop toasting

To stop toasting, press the stop button 4 at

any time.

The toast will pop up and the product will

automatically switch oﬀ.

Unplug the product.

Note: The browning level varies based on

the loading of the product, even if the

browning selector knob 7 setting has not

been changed. The less slices are inserted,

the darker the bread will be. Always reduce

the browning selector knob 7 slightly when

toasting fewer slices of bread.

Note: If bread gets jammed, press the stop

button 4 to switch the product oﬀ. Remove

the power plug from the outlet and carefully

remove the bread from the product without

damaging the heating element.

Toasting bagels

Slice each bagel into two equal halves.

Place the sliced bagel into the toasting

slot 2 with the cut sides facing.

Turn the browning selector knob 7 to the

desired browning setting, (lowest number =

lightest, highest number = darkest).

Slide the bread carriage lever 3 down until

it clicks into place, the blue indicator lamp

by the stop button 4 will light up.

The automatic bread centering function will

center bread inserted into the toasting slot 2.

Press the bagel button 5 to activate the

bagel function and the light at the bagel

button 5 will light up.

The bagel will automatically pop up when

done toasting.

Note: The bread carriage lever 3 will not

stay down unless the product is powered on.

Note: When using the bagel function, only

the center heating elements will be powered

to toast the cut side of bagels, leaving the

other side soft and warm.

When toasting one slice of bagel, place the

cut side facing inward.

Defrosting bread

To defrost a frozen bread, place the bread

into the toasting slot 2 and select the de-

sired browning setting using the browning

selector knob 7. Slide the bread carriage

lever 3 down until it clicks into place, the

blue indication lamp by the stop button 4

will light up.

Press the defrost button 6 to activate the

defrost function. The blue indicator lamp by

the defrost button 6 will light up.

The toast will pop up automatically when the

browning process ﬁnished.

Warming rolls

Never place bread rolls directly on the

product, always use the warming rack 1.

To fully extend the warming rack 1, press

the warming rack lever 8 down until it

clicks into place.

Place the bread rolls on the warming rack 1,

making sure they do not fall through the

warming rack 1.

Set the browning selector knob 7 no higher

than 3. Browning varies by the type of

bread rolls.

Slide the bread carriage lever 3 down until

it clicks into place, the blue indicator lamp

by the stop button 4 will light up.

As soon as the desired warming time is

reached, the bread carriage lever 3 re-

leases, then turn the bread rolls over to toast

the other side.

Slide the bread carriage lever 3 down until

it clicks into place, the blue indicator lamp

by the stop button 4 will light up.

Push the warming rack lever up 8 to return

the warming rack 1 back to its original

position.

Crumb tray

When toasting, crumbs from the bread might

fall down and collect in the crumb tray 9.

To empty the crumb tray 9, pull it out of the

product.

Discard the crumbs before sliding the crumb

tray 9 back into the product.

Care and cleaning

Disconnect the power plug

from the outlet before cleaning.

Never immerse the product

or power plug in water or other liquids.

Do not use abrasive, aggres-

sive or chemical cleaning agents to clean

the surface of the product.

Allow the product to cool down completely.

Clean the product with a damp, lint-free

cloth. Use a little mild detergent on the cloth

if necessary.

Clean the crumb tray 9 with neutral deter-

gent. Thoroughly rinse it with clear water

and dry.

Storage

Empty the crumb tray as described under

Care And Cleaning.

Clean the product as described under Care

And Cleaning.

Wrap the power cord around the cord

winder 10 on the underside of the device.

If the product will not be used for an ex-

tended period, store the product in a clean

and dry location.

Troubleshooting

Problem Cause Solution

The product is not working The power plug is not

plugged into an outlet. Connect the power plug to an

The slices of toast are too dark. The browning level is set too

high. Set the browning selector

knob 7 slightly lower.

The slices of toast are not

low. Set the browning selector

knob 7 slightly higher.

The bread carriage lever 3

does not engage when pushed

down.

The power plug is not

plugged into an outlet. Connect the power plug to an

outlet.

The product is defective. Contact the Customer Service

Department.

Disposal

Dispose of the packaging through

your local recycling facilities and in

compliance with all federal, state and

local regulations.

Please note the package markings re-

garding waste separation, indicated

by abbreviations (a) and numbers (b),

meaning: 1–7: plastics / 20–22: pa-

per and cardboard / 80–98: compos-

ite materials.

Contact your local waste manage-

ment authority for additional informa-

tion on how to dispose of the used

product.

To help protect the environment, please dispose

of the product properly when it has reached the

end of its useful life, do not throw in the gar-

bage. Information on collection sites and their

opening hours is available from your local

authority.

Three year limited warranty

What does this warranty cover?

The warranty covers:

· Damage, breakage or inoperability due to

defect.

· Damage not caused by normal wear and tear

or failure to follow the safety and maintenance

instructions provided in the user manual.

What is not covered by the warranty?

The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

· Normal wear and tear of the product, including

fragile parts (such as switches, glass, etc.);

· Improper use or transport;

· Disregarding safety and maintenance

instructions;

· Accidents or acts of nature (e.g. lightning, ﬁre,

water, etc.);

· Tampering with the product (such as removing

cover, unscrewing screws etc.)

Consequential and incidental damages are also

not covered under this warranty. However, some

states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of

incidental or consequential damages, so this

limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
