This section contains important safety instructions for using the ap-
pliance. This appliance complies with statutory safety regulations.
Improper use may result in personal injury and property damage.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2. To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plugs
or the appliance in water or other liquid.
3. This appliance should not be used by children and care
should be taken when used near children.
4. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or
taking off parts, and before cleaning.
Allow to cool and unplug before putting on or taking off
parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
5. Avoid contacting moving parts.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug
or after the appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged
in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized

Additional Safeguards
Be careful when emptying the bowl! The blade is extremely sharp!
Children should never play with the appliance.
Handle the extremely sharp blade with caution – danger of injury.
Reassemble the appliance after using and/or cleaning it so that
you do not injure yourself with the exposed blade. Keep the blade
out of the reach of children
Do not remove food from the bowl until the blade has come to a
complete stop. Risk of injury!
Wait until the blade has come to a complete stop before removing
the motor unit.
Never reach into the bowl while the blade is still in motion!

Be careful when cleaning the appliance! The blade is extremely
sharp!
Review the table of recommended fill quantities in the "Chopping"
section. Otherwise, the contents may overflow and cause a mess.
Do not let the appliance run for more than 2 minutes. Let it cool
down afterward.
Do not use the appliance to process boiling or hot food.
Do not use the appliance to grind bones, coffee beans, grains,
nutmeg or chop frozen food (with the exception of ice cubes).
Do not clean the motor unit in the dishwasher, as this will damage
it.
Never operate the appliance when it is empty.

Intended use
This appliance has been designed exclusively for chopping food
in small quantities or whipping cream and emulsifying liquids. This
appliance is intended exclusively for use in the private household.
Use the appliance only for its intended
purpose.
Observe the procedures described in these
operating instructions.
Failure to use the appliance for its intended purpose and/or any
other type of use can be hazardous. Use the appliance only for
its intended purpose. Observe the procedures described in these
operating instructions. Claims of any kind for damage resulting
from misuse, incompetent repairs, unauthorized modification or
the use of unauthorized spare parts will not be accepted. The
operator bears sole liability.

Unpacking
1) Remove all parts of the appliance and the operating instructions
from the box.
2) Remove all packaging material.
Check the package for completeness and signs of visible dam-
age. If the delivery is incomplete or damage has occurred as
a result of defective packaging or during transport, contact the
Service hotline (see Warranty section).
Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the device from damage during transport.
The packaging materials have been selected for their environmen-
tal friendliness and ease of disposal, and are therefore recyclable.
Returning the packaging to the material cycle conserves raw
materials and reduces the amount of waste that is generated.
Dispose of packaging materials that are no longer needed in
accordance with applicable local regulations.
If possible, keep the original packaging of the device for the entire
duration of the warranty period so that the device can be packed
properly for return shipment in the event of a warranty claim.

SHORT TIME OPERATION
Short time operation is the amount of time an appliance can
be operated without the motor overheating and becoming
damaged. After the appliance has been operated for this
period of time, turn it off until the motor has cooled down.
Getting started
Thoroughly clean all component parts as described in the section
Cleaning and care before using the appliance for the first time.
Operation
Chopping
1) Place the bowl 9 on the anti-slip ring q.
2) Fit the blade holder 7 with the blade 8 onto the guide axle 0.
3) Prepare the food that will be processed:
Particularly hard foods should be cut into
smaller pieces (approx. 2 cm / 0.79 inches) before processing.
Otherwise, the motor may stall. Use a pulsing mode for process-
ing hard foods. To do this, briefly press the respective speed
button 1/2 several times.
Cut solid food into pieces approx. 2 cm / 0.79 inches) in
size.
Remove the stems and stalks of herbs.
Remove the shells of nuts, e.g. walnuts.
Remove bones, skin, and tendons from meat.

4) Place the food in the bowl 9. Use the table below for orienta-
tion:

The specified times and quantities in this table are recom-
mended values and can vary depending on the condition of the
food that is processed!
5) Place the lid 5 on the bowl 9 in such a manner that the sealing
ring 6 rests on the edge of the bowl 9 and the blade holder 7
protrudes through the opening in the lid 5.
One of the two catches e on the inner ring of the lid 5 should
point to the front, i.e. towards you.

6) Place the motor unit 3 onto the center of the lid 5 so that the
logo is facing you.
The two catches e on the inner ring of the lid 5 now lock into
the two apertures r on the underside of the motor unit 3. If the
catches e do not immediately slip into the apertures r on the
underside of the motor unit 3, turn the motor unit 3 slightly, until
it rests flush on the lid 5 and the catches e have slipped into
the apertures r.
7) Plug the appliance into a power outlet.
While processing food, hold the bowl 9 firmly with one hand,
and hold the motor unit 3 firmly with the other hand.
8) Press the desired speed button 1/2. The blade 8 rotates as
long as you keep the speed button 1/2 depressed. The motor
stops as soon as you release the button.
If blade 8 rotation is sluggish or the blade
does not rotate at all, release the speed button 1/2 immediate-
ly and unplug the appliance. Check whether the blade 8 has
jammed due to hard/tough food; if so, remove the food.
Otherwise, the motor could overheat.
If food sticks to the inside of the bowl 9 and is no longer reached
by the blade 8, open the lid 5 and push the food further down
with a spatula or similar utensil.

9) When the food has been fully chopped, release the speed
button 1/2.
10) Unplug the appliance.
Never attempt to remove food from the bowl 9,
until the blade 8 has come to a complete stop. There is risk of
injury and food can also splash out and make a mess.
11) Wait until the blade 8 has come to a complete stop.
12) Lift the motor unit 3 off the lid 5.
13) Take off the lid 5.
Handle the extremely sharp blade 8 with
caution as it can cause injuries. Keep the blade 8 out of the
reach of children.
14)
Pull the blade holder 7 with the blade 8 carefully out of the
bowl 9.
15) Remove the food.

Whipping cream
With the emulsifying disk w you can also whip cream (min. 200 ml
/ 6.76 oz, max. 400 ml / 13.53 oz) with this appliance:
1) Place the bowl 9 on the anti-slip ring q.
2) Slide the emulsifying disk w onto the blade holder 7:
To whip 200 - 400 ml / 6.76 - 13.53 oz of cream, fit the
emulsifying disk w onto the blade holder 7 so that the
emulsifying disk w is in contact with both parts of the blade
8 and it locks in place (Fig. 1):

3) Fit the blade holder 7 with the emulsifying disk w onto the
guide axle 0.
4) Pour in the cream.
5) Place the lid 5 on the bowl 9 in such a manner that the sealing
ring 6 rests on the edge of the bowl 9 and the blade holder 7
protrudes through the opening in the lid 5.
One of the two catches e on the inner ring of the lid 5 should
point to the front, i.e. towards you.

6) Place the motor unit 3 onto the center of the lid 5 so that the
logo is facing you. The two catches e on the inner ring of the
lid 5 now lock into the two apertures r on the underside of the
motor unit 3. If the catches e do not immediately slip into the
apertures r on the underside of the motor unit 3, turn the motor
unit 3 slightly, until it rests flush on the lid 5 and the catches e
have slipped into the apertures r.
7) Plug the appliance into a power outlet.
To whip cream, it should be well chilled before whipping (max.
8°C / 46.4 °F / refrigerator temperature).
For 200ml / 6.76 oz of whip cream, we recommend whipping it
for approx. 30-40 seconds at speed level I.
For 400ml / 13.53 oz of whip cream, we recommend whipping
it for approx. 40 seconds at speed level I.
The whipping time can vary depending on the quantity and vari-
ous influences, such as the fat content of the cream or the outside
temperature! Observe the cream while you are whipping it and
adjust the whipping time to fit your needs.

Cleaning and maintenance
Always unplug the appliance before cleaning
it.
Never immerse the appliance in water or hold
it under running water when cleaning it.
When handling the extremely sharp blade 8,
there is danger of injury. Put the appliance back together after
use and/or cleaning so that you do not injure yourself with the
exposed blade 8. Keep the blade 8 out of the reach of children.
Do not clean the motor unit 3 in the dish-
washer, as this will damage it.
1) Unplug the appliance.
2) Take the appliance apart for cleaning:
Pull the sealing ring 6 off the lid 5.
Remove the small rubber disk from the upper end of the
blade holder 7.
3) Clean the motor unit 3 with a damp cloth. If necessary, add
mild dish soap to the cloth. Afterwards, wipe it off with a
cloth using only clean water so that all dish soap residues are
removed.
4) Clean the bowl 9, the emulsifying disk w, the lid 5 with sealing
ring 6, the blade holder 7 with blade 8, the small rubber disk
of the blade holder 7 and the anti-slip ring q in warm water
with a mild dish soap.
Rinse all parts with clean water to remove all dish soap residues.
Thoroughly dry all parts.

Alternatively 9, the emulsifying disk w, the
blade holder 7 with blade 8 and the lid 5 with sealing ring 6
can be cleaned in the dishwasher. If possible, place the parts in
the top basket of the dishwasher. Ensure that the parts are not
wedged in.
5) After cleaning, put the sealing ring 6 back on the edge of the
lid 5. Ensure that the flat side of the sealing ring 6 rests flush
on the lid 5.
6) Fit the small rubber ring back onto the upper end of the blade
holder 7.
You can now put the appliance back together.
Storage
Store the clean appliance in a dry and dust-free location.
