Please read these instructions carefully before use and retain for future reference.
BEFORE FIRST USE
Check all parts for damage before first use.
Before connecting the appliance, please check if the voltage indicated on the bottom of the
appliance is in accordance with the mains voltage supply in your home.
Locate the Food Steamer in an appropriate position in relation to mains sockets.
COOKING
Fill the base reservoir with the required quantity of cold tap water (see cooking guide).
Do not exceed the maximum level (refer to the markings on the inside of the reservoir).
Do not put anything other than cold water into the reservoir.
Do not use wine, meat or vegetable stock or any other liquid.
Put the steam dish on the base and place the food in the steam dish.
Do not add herbs or spices before or during cooking.
Place the lid on the steam dish. Ensure that the handles of the lid are perfectly in line with
the handles of the steam dish.
Do not overfill the steam dish, thereby blocking the holes in the lid. The steam must be able
to circulate and escape freely.
Plug the food steamer in.
Once cooking is complete, unplug the food steamer. Remove the steam dishes carefully.
Gently lift off the lid to avoid scalding yourself (steam can cause scalds).
To serve, turn the lid over and slide under the steam dish.
WARNING
Keep the appliance away from children.
This appliance is for indoor, domestic use only.
Make sure that the switch is in the “off” position before plugging into the mains.
Do not open the lid during cooking.
Do not use the steamer without water in the reservoir. Always pour the required quantity of
cold water into the reservoir before connecting to the power supply.
Do not stand directly over the steamer when removing the lid.
The base can become hot when cooking. Allow to cool fully before handling.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, cook only in removable steaming bowls.
Check the item for damage before use. Do not use if any part, including the power cable, is
damaged.
The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate
remote control system.
No user serviceable parts.
This appliance should not be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.

CLEANING
Switch off and unplug from the mains socket before cleaning.
Allow the cooker to cool down fully before cleaning.
To clean the upper lid or the steam bowl, wash in hot soapy water and dry thoroughly with a
soft cloth.
Do not use abrasive products.
Not dishwasher-safe.
To clean the base, remove any liquid remaining in the reservoir by tipping up the base over a
sink and clean with a damp cloth and allow to dry fully before storing.
Do not immerse in water.
