AWR-CB2200 Two-way Call box Operaon:
The AWR-CB2200 call box is congured for operaon by your radio dealer. Proper frequency informaon
and operang characteriscs are congured using programming soware. Your dealer will need to gather
operaonal informaon from you before the call box can be deployed. Once congured, the AWR-CB2200
will operate in the following manner:
Note: If Associate communicaons are taking place at the me of the Two-way call box acvaon, the
Two-way call box will suspend it’s “Message on Acvaon” transmission unl the channel acvity has
stopped (if programmed to do so). While waing to transmit the “Message on Acvaon”, the call box
WILL NOT provide Associate transmit audio to the Two-way call box local speaker. The call box will not
allow receive audio to be provided to the call box local speaker unl the “Message on Acvaon” audio
has been transmied to the Associates radios. Likewise, aer the Two-way call box Reset buon has been
pressed, the Two-way call box will no longer provide receive audio to the local speaker.
• The AWR-CB2200 will be in ‘Sleep Mode’ (o) the majority of the me. During ‘Sleep Mode’, very
lile current is being consumed allowing for extended baery life.
• A press of the ‘Acvate’ buon will cause the call box to ‘wake-up’ and perform it’s programmed
dues.
1. A short beep will be heard when the acvate buon is inially pressed.
2. The ‘Speaker Message on Acvaon’ greeng message will be heard on the local call box speaker.
3. If the radio channel is not busy, the call box alert tone (if programmed) followed by the ‘Message
on Acvaon’ will be transmied to the associated two-way radios. The status LED will be red
when the call box is transming.
4. When ‘Awake’, the status LED will ash green when the call box is not transming or receiving to
indicate that the call box is acve.
5. The Two-way call box is now acve and able to transmit or receive radio communicaons.
6. For typical Two-way call box operaon, an associate would now reply with an oer to assist and
provide basic call box operang instrucons to the call box user. Such as “press and hold the
Acvate buon to talk, release to listen”.
7. Press and hold the Acvate / Push to Talk buon to transmit, release to receive.
8. If the Reset buon is pressed while the call box is acve, the call box ‘Speaker Message on Clear’
(if programmed) will be played to the local speaker.
9. The call box ‘Message on Clear’ (if programmed) will be transmied to the associated two-way
radios.
10. When the call box ‘Message on Clear’ message transmission is complete, the AWR-CB2200 Two-
way call box will re-enter ‘Sleep Mode”.
11. If the Reset buon is NOT pressed, the Two-way call box will enter ‘Sleep Mode’ aer the
programmed period of inacvity.
12. Whether the reset buon is pressed or the call box enters ‘Sleep Mode’ due to inacvity, a short
series of beeps are heard, at the call box local speaker, just prior to the Two-way call box entering
‘Sleep Mode’.
• Low Baery alert
Each me the AWR-CB2200 call box is acvated, the baery level is measured. If the baery level
has dropped to a low baery level condion, the call box will process the ‘Low Baery Alert’ message
at the end of the “Message on Acvaon”. The radio users will hear the low baery alert message.
The call box local speaker will not hear the low baery alert message. The low baery alert is also
transmied aer the “Message on Clear” if the reset buon is pressed, OR just prior to the Two-way
call box entering ‘Sleep Mode’ due to inacvity.
