Active/Passive Operation Remote Keyless Entry With
Silent Alarm System
CONGRATULATIONS! Your purchase of this state-of-the-art security system
expresses a deep concern for the security of your vehicle, its contents, and
passengers. To fully appreciate the many functions and safeguards incorporated
in this system, please spend a few minutes reading this manual. You may find
unexpected features that could mean the difference between “protected” and “fully
protected”.
FEATURES AND AVAILABLE OPTIONS:
User Programmable Transmitters offer 1/2 Million Different Codes.
Instant Arming and Disarming with a Remote Keychain Transmitter.
Power Door Locks are remotely locked and unlocked via the keychain transmitter.
l The Vehicle’s Starter is disabled whenever the system is activated (optional relay required).
l A concealed Valet/Emergency disarm switch will by-pass the system in the event
your transmitter is lost, or if you wish to deactivate the system for service work.
l Programmable Active / Passive operation.
l The Vehicle’s Parking Lights Flash to indicate arming, disarming, and unauthorized
violation through a door (optional relay required).
l The Interior Courtesy Lights will illuminate when the doors are remotely unlocked,
providing both convenience and added security to the passengers.
l Remote Keychain Panic allows activation of the vehicle’s parking lights in
emergencies, at distances up to 75 feet from the vehicle.
l Programmable Auto Lock / Unlock via the ignition key.
l Channel 2 from the keychain transmitter activates the remote trunk release relay,
which is compatible with most factory installed electronic trunk release systems.
l An additional (3rd) Radio Frequency Channel is built into the keychain transmitter to
allow the use of one of the following optional accessories;
u Remote Starter - This device allows you to start the vehicle, with the push of a button,
from maximum transmitter range. A great feature on those cold winter mornings!
(available for fuel injected, automatic transmission vehicles only).
u Garage Door Interface - This device allows you to activate your garage door opener
via the alarm's keychain transmitter.
The transmitters included with this security system are pre-programmed at the factory, with
button assignments (channels) prioritized in a standard format. You can select which transmitter
button controls a particular function, (see the transmitter programming guide).
This manual explains the operation of the system assuming that the transmitter buttons are
prioritized in their standard, factory pre-set format.

YOUR KEYCHAIN TRANSMITTERS:
ARMING THE SYSTEM (CHANNEL 1): ACTIVE
1. Turn off the engine, exit the vehicle, and close all doors.
2. Press and release the Lock/Unlock button on the keychain transmitter.
The vehicle’s parking lamps will flash once (optional), and the doors will lock.
WARNING! Excessive pressure on the transmitter button will damage
the internal components on the circuit board. All that is
required is a light push to the button.
ARMING THE SYSTEM (CHANNEL 1): BACK - UP PASSIVE ARMING
1. Turn off the engine, exit the vehicle, and close all doors.
Note: As an added convenience, the automatic passive arming will not begin
until all doors are closed, allowing passengers to exit the vehicle at
their convenience.
2. In 30 seconds, the vehicle’s parking lamps will flash one time (optional),
indicating the system is ARMED.
OPTION NOTE: The keyless entry control module can be programed to
either;
A. Automatically lock the doors during step 2 above.
or....
B. Only lock the doors when step 3 is executed.
3. If you wish to ARM the system immediately, simply press and release the
Lock/Unlock button on the keychain transmitter. The vehicle’s parking
lamps will flash once (optional), and the doors will lock.
PROTECTION WHILE THE SYSTEM IS ARMED:
1. Opening any door will cause the vehicle’s interior lights (and parking
lamps, optional) to flash for 30 seconds, then stop and automatically re-set.
If the potential thief left a door opened, the lights will flash for six 30 second
cycles, then ignore the opened door.
2. Whenever the system is armed, the vehicle’s starter will be bypassed
(optional). If a thief should choose to ignore the flashing lights, the vehicle
can not be started.
DISARMING THE SYSTEM (CHANNEL 1):
1. As you approach the vehicle, press and release the Lock/Unlock button on
the key chain transmitter.
2. The vehicle’s parking lamps will flash 2 times (optional), the doors will
unlock, and the vehicle’s interior courtesy light will turn on for approximately
20 seconds, indicating that the system is disarmed.
-3-
NOTE: If the optional 2-step unlock feature was installed, then only the
driver's door will unlock during step 2 above. To disarm the system
and unlock all doors, press the transmitter button two times within
three seconds. The system will disarm, and all the doors will unlock.
3. Never attempt to disarm the system from a distance that prevents you
from opening a door within 30 seconds. When the system is programed for
passive arming, it will begin to re-arm until a door is opened. Opening the
door will suspend the passive arming cycle.
INTRUSION WARNING SIGNAL:
(OPTIONAL PARK LIGHT RELAY REQUIRED)
The system will inform you if an intrusion attempt has occurred while you
were away from the vehicle. If an intrusion attempt has occurred, the
vehicle’s parking lights will flash 3 times to indicate an intrusion has
occurred.
This intrusion warning indicator is stored in the system’s memory, and will
only be erased from memory when the ignition key is turned on.
VALET / SYSTEM OVERRIDE SWITCH:
The “Valet” switch allows you to temporarily bypass all security functions,
eliminating the need to hand your transmitter to parking attendants or garage
mechanics. When the system is in the valet mode, all security functions are
bypassed, however, the remote door locks will remain operational. To use
the valet mode;
1. Enter the vehicle and turn the ignition key to the “on” position.
2. Move the valet toggle switch to the “on” position.
3. To return to normal operation, move the valet switch to the “off” position
any time the ignition is on.
In the event you lose your transmitter, or if the transmitter fails to disarm the
system, the valet switch can be used as a system override switch. Open the
car door (the lights will flash). Turn the ignition key to on, and move the valet
switch to the “on” position. The lights will stop flashing, and the vehicle can
now be started.
NOTE: Always remember to move the Valet Switch back to the “off” position.
This will ensure that the vehicle remains protected at all times.
REMOTE PANIC OPERATION (CHANNEL 1):
The Lock/Unlock button on your keychain transmitter also functions as a
“panic” switch for instant activation of the lights in emergency situations. To
use the remote panic switch;
-4-
1. Press and hold the Lock/Unlock button on the keychain transmitter for 3
seconds or more. The interior lights (and parking lamps, optional) will begin
to immediately flash.
2. To stop the panic, press and release the Lock/Unlock button on the keychain
transmitter. If the button is not pressed, the lights will automatically stop
after 30 seconds.
TRUNK RELEASE (CHANNEL 2):
This system has an on-board trunk release relay, that will activate the existing
factory installed electronic trunk release switch.
To remotely open the trunk, press and hold the Option button on the keychain
transmitter for 3 or 4 seconds.
ADDITIONAL REMOTE FUNCTION (CHANNEL 3):
This system has an additional feature that can be wired to a number of
different optional accessories. Some of the more common uses for this
“channel” are;
*Remote Car Starter - available for most automatic transmission, fuel injected
vehicles.
*Remote Window Roll Up - available for most vehicles equipped with power
windows.
To activate the optional accessory;
1. Press and release the Lock/Unlock & Option buttons on the keychain
transmitter simultaneously
2. The optional accessory that has been wired to CHANNEL 3 will now engage.
AUTO LOCK / UNLOCK:
The system can be programmed for auto lock / unlock of the doors via the
ignition key. When this feature is activated, approximately 3 seconds after
turning the ignition key to the “on” position, all doors will automatically lock,
and when the key is turned to the “off” position, all doors will immediately
unlock.
