SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Keep electrical equipment out of reach of children
Never allow children to use electrical devices unattended.
Keep plastic packaging out of the reach of children. There is a risk of suffoca-
tion.
Ambient conditions
Keep the scale away from extreme electromagnetic influences, such as
radio equipment, as this could have an impact on the display values. If the
scale malfunctions, it may be necessary to restart it.
Do not overfill the scale. Do not place anything weighing over 5,000 g
(11 lb) on the scales because this could damage the measuring unit.
Do not subject the appliance to vibrations, heavy impacts, dust, extreme
temperatures, direct sunlight, rain or high humidity, since this could cause
malfunctions, shortened life, battery damage and defective components.
Never open the appliance as this would render the guarantee null and
void and could also cause battery damage and defective components.
Place the appliance on a level surface before using it.
Packaging
Your kitchen scale is wrapped in packaging to protect it against transportation
damage.
Packaging is raw material and can be reused or recycled.

FIRST OPERATION
Inserting/changing the battery
Open the battery compartment lid on the underside of the appliance.
Install a 9 volt PP3 (6LR61) battery.
Ensure the +/- terminals are correct. The correct +/- terminals are labelled
in the battery compartment.
Close the battery compartment lid.
NOTE:
Empty batteries are special waste. Take your empty batteries to a
recycling location.
If your scale will not be used for a longer period of time, remove the
battery from the battery compartment to prevent battery leakage.
If battery fluid has leaked out, put the battery in the special waste and
carefully clean the battery compartment with a paper towel. Make
sure that you do not touch the battery fluid. Thoroughly wash your
hands if you touch battery acid and do not touch your eyes!

the display will show all symbols. Then the display will show "0 g" or
"0 oz" (depending on the last setting).
2. If you would like to select the other measuring unit, press the button "kg/lb."
3. Now place the object to be weighed on the scale (the scale displays the
weights in 1 gram intervals or in 1/8 oz intervals, respectively).
4. Wait until the display shows „H“, which indicates that the weight reading
is now stable.
5. Read the displayed value either in gram or in oz/lb (press "kg/lb" to
select).
Selecting the weighing unit

before switching it on. You can also "delete" the container weight by pressing

next item to be weighed. This step can be repeated as often as necessary.
Overfill

appear in the display.
Battery indication
If the battery indication " " appears in the display, the battery must be re-
placed. Please note: Only dispose of batteries in the special waste! Do not
place in the normal household waste.
Switching off
You can switch off the scale using the "ON/OFF" button. If you forget to do
so,
