New Software (version v1.2.8.01) is now available for the Navico NAIS-500 Class B AIS
transceiver. The update facilitates the following improvement and feature change to the system.
• Correction of heading data transmission
• Correction of year-value in the ETA parameter in PGN 129794
• Correction of the ship-dimension-value in PGN 129040, 129794 & 129810
The software is available from any of the Navico Brand websites

You will need to install the software update program first then launch the updater for the
NAIS-500. Please see the steps below demonstrating the procedure

1. Open the upgrade application
2. It will start the install process
3. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the installation
When the installation completes you can launch the updater see next step for updating
the NAIS-500

Upgrading NAIS-500
Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the upgrade
1. start the upgrade program with the NAIS-500 disconnected then connect the NAIS-500
to a powered USB connection on the computer
2. Confirm the version and select Next to continue to upgrade
3. When the upgrade is complete, power off the NAIS-500 and restart, this completes the
upgrade
