1 Before First Use
Read and follow all the instructions in this “Instruction Manual” even if you feel
you are familiar with the product, and find a place to keep it handy for future
reference.
Your attention is drawn particularly to the sections concerningIMPORTANT
SAFEGUARDS”, “FOR YOUR SAFETY”, and the “SERVICE” statements.
For your convenience, record the complete model number (located on the product
identification plate) and the date you purchased the product, together with your
purchase receipt and attach to the warranty and service information. Retain in the
event that warranty service is required.
2 Important Safeguards
When using any electrically powered product, basic safety precautions
should always be followed, including the following:
PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE PRODUCT.
WARNING - to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock or injury to
persons or property:
Always operate the product from a power source of the same voltage,
frequency and rating as indicated on the product identification plate.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
Operate on a level surface. Operating the Popcorn Maker on sinks, drain
boards or uneven surfaces should be avoided.
Avoid touching hot surfaces, use handles and knobs.
When using the product, ensure that there is sufficient air space above and
around all sides for air circulation.
Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Switch ‘OFF’ at the
power point and unplug immediately.

Under no circumstances must the Base of the appliance be placed in water or
other liquids.
Allow to cool completely before cleaning and storing away.
Do Not disassemble the appliance. There are no user serviceable parts inside.
Keep appliance out of reach of children.
Take care that children cannot touch the appliance when it is hot and make
sure they cannot pull the mains cord.
Do not touch hot surfaces. Use only the handles if available.
Ensure the appliance is connected to a power point with an Earth contact. If
you are unsure, check with a qualified electrician.
To protect against the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the cord or plug in
water or other liquids.
Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water or steam.
Do Not remove the lid when popping corn as personal injury may result.
VERY IMPORTANT: Ensure that appliance does not get wet (water splashes
etc.).
Do not use appliance with wet hands.
Do not use near sinks, baths or showers.
Between each use allow appliance to cool for at least 10 minutes. Do not run
for more than 5 minutes at a time.
Do not use oil or butter, etc. in popping chamber.
Position the power supply lead properly so that it will not be walked on or
pinched by items placed on or against them.
Use this appliance only for its intended use. This Appliance is intended for
household use only and not for commercial or industrial use.
Do not use this appliance if it has been dropped or any part of appliance
(including cord or plug) has been damaged. Take this appliance to your
nearest authorised service centre or qualified dealer for inspection or repair.

Use only accessories recommended or supplied by an authorised service
centre or qualified dealer. The use of accessories not intended for use with this
appliance may cause injuries to the user or damage to the appliance.
Do not place this unit on other appliances, on uneven surfaces or where it
could be subject to heat sources (e.g. radiators or stoves), direct sunlight,
excessive dust
This Appliance should not be used outdoors, placed near a hot gas or
electrical burner or placed in a heated oven.
Do not operate this appliance underneath or near flammable or combustible
materials (e.g. curtains).
The appliance should always be switched off before connecting or
disconnecting from the power supply. Never pull the cord to disconnect the
plug from the wall socket.
Any type of servicing, apart from ordinary cleaning, must be carried out by an
authorised service centre or qualified dealer. There are no user serviceable
parts in this appliance.
WARNING: do not heat or cook any other items in this appliance.
If this appliance is to be used by a third party, please supply the instruction
manual with it.
Always disconnect the plug from wall socket before moving, cleaning or
emptying of food.
To avoid an overloaded circuit, do not operate another high current appliance
on the same electric circuit.
Never move the appliance when cooking.
Do not leave the appliance unattended when in use.
Ensure children and babies do not play with plastic bags or any of the
packaging material.
No liability can be accepted for any damage caused by non-compliance with
these instructions or any other improper use or mishandling of appliance.

3 Your Popcorn Maker
Congratulations on the purchase of your new Popcorn Maker. It can help
you create an endless variety of taste-tempting snacks.
This appliance has been designed to operate from a standard domestic
power outlet. It is not intended for industrial or commercial use.

4 Instruction For Use
Carefully unpack the appliance and remove all packaging materials.
Clean and dry the top cover thoroughly in warm soapy water.
Fill the measuring cup level to the top with corn kernels. Do Not Heap.
Remove top cover and pour the corn kernels into popping chamber.
Replace top cover and place a heat resistant bowl beneath the chute.
Place the measuring cup into its position in the top cover.
Plug appliance into power socket.
Turn the switch to position “I” (On). Appliance will start operating.
The popping process will take a few minutes to start as the corn
kernels need to get very hot to pop.
Do not remove bowl while popping is in progress.
When corn has stopped popping set the switch to position “O” (Off).
Fresh corn kernels give best results.
Once the pack of corn kernels is opened, it should be stored in an
airtight container in the fridge.
NOTE: Do not use oil, margarine or butter etc. in the popping chamber.
Doing so may result in personal injury and will damage the appliance. Only
add the flavourings to the popped corn in the collection bowl below the
chute.
DO NOT touch the top cover or measuring cup whilst hot. Allow to
completely cool before touching.
Between each use, remove any un-popped corn from the popping
chamber. Allow unit to cool first.

Between each use of no more than 5 minutes, allow appliance to cool
for at least 10 minutes.
Do Not cover the appliance when operating or hot.
Do not switch the appliance on while empty.
Use only traditional hot air popping corn in this appliance, never use
microwave popcorn.
Caution: During the popping process it is normal for some unpopped
kernels to be ejected from the chute. Please be aware of this and keep
children away from the chute whilst the machine is operating.
Caution: Ensure children do not stand near the front or sides of the chute
whilst the machine is operating.
Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Switch off at the
power outlet and unplug immediately. Before using again, dry the
appliance and have it checked by an authorised service centre or qualified
electrician.
5 Cleaning Your Popcorn Maker
Turn off and unplug appliance prior to cleaning and let cool.
Do Not immerse the appliance in water, or any other liquid.
Wash the outlet chute with a soft damp cloth and soap. Rinse excess
soap off and thoroughly dry.
Do not allow water to enter the popping chamber as this will damage
the appliance.
Wipe the interior of the appliance with a dry cloth.

Wipe the outer surface of the appliance with a soft damp cloth and dry
with a dry towel.
Do not use abrasive creams, steel wool or scouring pads as they will
damage the finish.
All removable components should be detached and cleaned
thoroughly in warm, soapy water at regular intervals.
Do Not place appliance or components in the dishwasher.
Ensure the measuring cup and top cover are removed then turn the
machine upside down to remove any un-popped corn from the
Popping chamber.
CAUTION: DO NOT IMMERSE BASE IN WATER OR LIQUID.

6 Farmers 2 Year Relish Replacement Warranty
Your Relish product is covered by a replacement warranty for a period of two years
from the date of purchase from The Farmers Trading Company Ltd. During the warranty
period, Farmers warrants to the original purchaser of this Relish product that the
product will be free from defects in materials or workmanship. If your Relish product
fails to operate satisfactorily, please return it to a Farmers store. You must supply proof
of purchase from Farmers with all warranty claims.
The replacement warranty does not cover:
Normal wear and tear
Minor or cosmetic defects that do not affect the functioning of the product
Damage
Unreasonable use or use to an unreasonable extent
This warranty becomes invalid if we reasonably believe that the product has been
damaged, subjected to unreasonable use, misused, abused, incorrectly installed,
tampered with, connected to an electrical supply not corresponding with the name plate
specification, or subjected to power surges.
This warranty does not limit or affect any rights a domestic purchaser may have under
the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. If you use this product for the purposes of a
business, then to the greatest extent permitted by law, our maximum obligation to you
will be limited to the replacement of the product within the warranty period.
If this product is no longer available, your Relish product will be replaced by an
equivalent product with similar specifications.
DANGER: For your safety, you must not tamper with this Relish product. Do not
open the product. Do not attempt to service the product. This product contains
no user serviceable components.
