Introduction
Thank you for purchasing a KPS-SMD520 smart SMD tester.
The KPS-SMD520 smart SMD tester is a professional instrument for measuring inductance,
capacitance and resistance. It has many features, such as automatic identication, automatic
measurement range, high measurement accuracty and speed, wide measuring range and
so on.
An ordinary multimeter only provides DC mode for resistance measurement, while the
KPS-SMD500 provides both AC and DC measurement modes. A variety of test frequencies
up to 10KHz can be provided for inductance, capacitance and resitance in AC mode to meet
the actual needs better.
Correct usage can ensure that the instrument will work precisely for a long time. Please read
the instructions carefully before using and operate the instrument strictly in accordance with
the instructions.
Inspection
When you get a new LCR meter, please check the instrument and its accessories. If
something is damaged or missed, please contact the store you bought the instrument from
for adjustment or replacement.
Safety instructions
Operating environment and condition:
• Elevation <2000 m
• Relative humidity (RH) ≤ 80% RH
• Operating temperature: 0~40ºC
Note: DO NOT input voltage at the measurement port. When measuring capacitance,
please discharge rst then measure, otherwise, the meter will be damaged.
Storage and maintenance: Do not use alcohol or other solvents to clean the meter. If
it will not be used for long time, please remove battery and put the meter in a dry and
clean environment.
Additional functions
Auto power o function
The instrument will automatically power o without any operation for 5 minutes.
Battery power detection function
The meter has a battery power detection function.
When displays for battery, please replace battery. This meter uses 3V*1 CR2450 button
battery.
Batteries with the same model should be used for battery replacement. Please remember
that you can’t use the meter until the rear cover is tightened.

Gracias por comprar el comprobador SMART SMD KPS-SMD520. El comprobador SMART
SMD KPS-SMD520 es un instrumento profesional para medir la inductancia, la resistencia
y la capacidad. Posee como características la identicación automática, autoescala, alta
precisión y velocidad de medición y un amplio rango de medición, entre otras.
Un multímetro común solo proporciona un modo DC para medir la resistencia, mientras
que el comprobador SMART SMD KPS-SMD520 proporciona ambos modos de medición,
AC y DC.
Se puede seleccionar entre una amplia variedad de frecuencias de hasta 10Khz para la
medida de inductancia, capacidad y resistencia en el modo AC para satisfacer mejor las
necesidades de los usuarios.
El correcto uso del instrumento asegurará una elevada precisión durante más tiempo. Por
favor lea atentamente las instrucciones de uso antes de operar con el instrumento.
Inspección
Al recibir el nuevo medidor LCR, por favor compruebe el instrumento y sus accesorios. Si
falta alguna pieza o tiene algún daño, contacte con la tienda donde lo ha adquirido para
repararlo o reemplazarlo.
Instrucciones de seguridad
Condiciones ambientales y operativas:
• Altitud: <2000m
• Humedad relativa: ≤ 80% HR
• Temperatura: 0-40º C
Nota: no aplicar tensión entre las puntas de prueba.
Cuando se mide la capacidad, descargar primero y después empezar la medición,
para evitar daños en el comprobador.
Almacenamiento y mantenimiento: no usar alcohol u otros disolventes para limpiar el
comprobador. Si no se va a usar durante un período de tiempo prolongado, por favor
retire la pila y guarde en lugar limpio y seco.
Funciones adicionales
Función de apagado automático
El instrumento se apagará de forma automática tras 5 minutos de inactividad.
Función de detección de carga de la pila
El comprobador posee una función que detecta la carga de la pila.
Cuando se muestra el símbolo en la pantalla, reemplace la pila. Este comprobador utiliza
una pila CR2450 de 3V. Se deberían utilizar pilas de ese mismo tipo en este comprobador.
Recuerde que no puede utilizar el comprobador si la tapa no está bien sujeta.
