Introduction
Basic instructions for work on the machine
The present Service Manual describes excavator types TC 210 / TC 225. The excavators are
designed to the present state of the art and operationally reliable. Nevertheless the operation
of the equipment implies risks, in particular, if the equipment is not used properly or in com-
pliance with the intended use. With regard to the prevention of accidents, the following pro-
cedures should therefore be followed:
• Every machine owner shall provide staff working on the machine with clear written in-
structions on basis of the present Service Manual, the related safety data sheets and the
appropriate technical standards.
• Inspection work on the equipment may only be performed by the Technical Service of
TEREX GmbH and/or trained and authorized expert staff.
• If an excavator is combined with components or replacement parts from third party ma-
nufacturers, these components shall be described in separate manuals provided by the
relevant manufacturer and/or supplier.
• Should issues arise which - according to the reader's opinion - are not addressed to ex-
haustingly enough in this Service Manual, please contact TEREX GmbH for your own
safety.
• The contents of the present Service Manual may be modified at any time without notice.
• As regards translations into foreign languages, the German version of this Service Manual
shall prevail.
Guarantee
TEREX GmbH guarantees the reliability and operability of excavator types TC 210 / TC 225
only to the extent that:
• the equipment is only used in compliance with the intended purpose and operated and/
or maintained in accordance with the provisions of the present Service Manual;
• the excavator design is not modified unless explicitly agreed upon in writing by
TEREX GmbH;
• only original spare parts and/or accessories authorized by TEREX GmbH are used;
• inspection and maintenance work is carried out in the stipulated frequencies.
