Switching the appliance off
Duringcleaningandmaintenanceitisnecessarytodisconnect
theappliancefromtheelectricitysupply:
1. HoldtheON/OFFbuttondownformorethantwoseconds
untilOFFappearsonbothindicatordisplays(refrigerator
andfreezer).
2. Pulltheplugoutofthesocket.
!Ifthisprocedureisnotfollowed,thealarmmaysound.This
alarmdoesnotindicateamalfunction.Torestorenormal
operation,holdtheON/OFFbuttondownformorethantwo
seconds.Todisconnecttheappliance,followpoints1and2
above.
Cleaning the appliance
• Theexternalandinternalparts,aswellastherubberseals
maybecleanedusingaspongethathasbeensoakedin
lukewarmwaterandbicarbonateofsodaorneutralsoap.Do
notusesolvents,abrasiveproducts,bleachorammonia.
• Theremovableaccessoriesmaybesoakedinwarmwater
andsoapordishwashingliquid.Rinseanddrythem
carefully.
• Thebackoftheappliancemaycollectdustwhichcanbe
removedbydelicatelyusingthehoseofavacuumcleaner
setonmediumpower.Theappliancemustbeswitched
offandtheplugmustbepulledoutbeforecleaningthe
appliance.
Avoiding mould and unpleasant odours
• Theapplianceismanufacturedwithhygienicmaterialswhich
areodourfree.Inordertomaintainanodourfreerefrigerator
andtopreventtheformationofstains,foodmustalwaysbe
coveredorsealedproperly.
• Ifyouwanttoswitchtheapplianceoffforanextended
periodoftime,cleantheinsideandleavethedoorsopen.
Replacing the light bulb
Toreplacethelightbulbintherefrigeratorcompartment,pull
outtheplugfromtheelectricalsocket.Followtheinstructions
below.
Accessthelightbulbbyremovingthecoverasindicatedinthe
diagram.
Replaceitwithasimilarlightbulbwithinthepowerrange
indicatedonthecover(10W,15Wor25W).
Replacing the l Odour filter
Thefiltershouldbereplacedafterapproximately6-8months
fromwhenitisactivated.Thisperiodmayvarydepending
onthetypeoffoodthatisstored.Forinformationonwherea
replacementfiltermaybepurchased,contactAssistance(see
Assistance).Toreplacethefilter,followtheinstructions(see
diagramsAandB).
Chiller system
NO FROST
TheNoFrostsystemcirculatescoldaircontinuouslytocollect
humidityandpreventiceandfrostformation.Thesystem
maintainsanoptimalhumiditylevelinthecompartment,
preservingtheoriginalqualityofthefood,preventingthe
foodfromstickingtogetherandmakingdefrostingathingof
thepast.!Donotblocktheaerationcellsbyplacingfoodor
containersindirectcontactwiththerefrigeratingbackpanel.
!Closebottlesandwrapfoodtightly.
Using the refrigerator to its full potential
• Adjustthetemperatureusingthedisplay.
• ActivatetheSUPERCOOLfunctiontolowerthetemperature
quickly,forexample,whenyouplacealargenumberofnew
fooditemsinsideafridgeandtheinternaltemperaturerises
slightly.Thisfunctionquicklycoolsthegroceriesbytemporarily
reducingthetemperatureuntilitreachestheideallevel.
• Placeonlycoldorlukewarmfoodsinthecompartment,never
hotfoods(seePrecautionsandtips).
• Rememberthatcookedfoodsdonotlastlongerthanrawfoods.
• Donotstoreliquidsinopencontainers:theywillincreasethe
levelofhumidityintherefrigeratorandcausecondensationto
form.
Using the freezer to its full potential
•
Adjustthetemperatureusingthedisplay.
• Tofreeze(ifthefreezerisalreadyoperating):
-forsmallquantitieswhicharelessthanthoseindicatedon
thedataplate,presstherapidfreezingSUPERFREEZEbutton
(correspondingindicatorlightilluminates),insertthefoodand
closethedoor.Thefunctionisdisabledautomaticallyafter
24hoursorwhenoptimaltemperatureshavebeenreached
(indicatorlightgoesout);
-forlargequantitieswhicharegreaterthanthemaximumload
indicatedonthedataplate,holddowntherapidfreezingSUPER
FREEZEbuttonuntilthecorrespondingindicatorlightbegins
toflash.After24hourstheindicatorlightstopsflashingand
remainsonconstantly.Placethefoodinsidethefreezerandclose
thedoor.Afteranother24hours,thefunctionwillbedisabled
automatically(indicatorlightgoesout).
• Donotre-freezefoodthatisdefrostingorthathasalreadybeen
defrosted.Thesefoodsmustbecookedandeaten(within24
hours).
• Freshfoodthatneedstobefrozenmustnotcomeintocontact
withfoodthathasalreadybeendefrosted.
• Donotplaceglassbottleswhichcontainliquids,andwhichare
corkedorhermeticallysealedinthefreezerbecausetheycould
break.
• Themaximumquantityoffoodthatmaybefrozendailyis
indicatedontheplatecontainingthetechnicalproperties
locatedonthebottomleftsideoftherefrigeratorcompartment
(forexample:Kg/24h:4).
!Donotopenthedoorduringfreezing.
!Ifthereisapowercutormalfunction,donotopenthefreezer
door.Thiswillhelpmaintainthetemperatureinsidethefreezer,
ensuringthatfoodsareconservedforatleast9-14hours.
!Toavoidblockingtheaircirculationinsidethefreezer,itis
advisablenottoobstructtheventilationholeswithfoodor
containers.
