1. Unpack the Professional Nutrition Blender from the box.

2. Wipe clean all the parts with a soft damp cloth or sponge and warm water.

Rinse and dry thoroughly. DO NOT IMMERSE THE PROFESSIONAL NUTRITION

BLENDER BASE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.

3. Using a damp cloth or sponge, wipe the motor base.

DO NOT USE ANY ABRASIVE MATERIAL TO CLEAN THE SURFACE

DO NOT IMMERSE THE BLENDER BASE INTO WATER AT ANY TIME

General information

General information

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed.

PLEASE READ AND SAVE ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE PROFESSIONAL

NUTRITION BLENDER.

1. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse power cord or plug in water or

any other liquid. This is an electrical appliance. To avoid the risk of electrical shock or

serious personal injury, always operate with dry hands.

2. Never leave the blender connected to the power outlet when not in use.

3. Never pull the power cord to remove from outlet.

4. Do not use the blender for other than intended use. Do not use outdoors. For

household use only.

5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is being used by or near children.

This blender is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced

physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless

they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the blender by

a person responsible for their safety.

6. Never leave the blender unattended while it is operating.

7. Unplug the blender from the electrical outlet when not in use, before cleaning, and

before putting on or taking off the attachments.

8. If blender stops due to improper operation or if there is excessive noise, turn power

off, wait for blades to stop spinning, unplug from electrical outlet. DO NOT open the

main base to repair. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for

examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.

9. Do not operate the blender with a damaged power cord or plug or after the appliance

malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner.

10. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or touch any hot

surface.

11. Do not operate blender continuously for more than 30 seconds.

12. Always operate your blender on a flat, dry, stable surface.

13. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may result

in fire, electrical shock, or risk of injury.

14. Do not place blender on or near hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

15. Turn the control knob to “OFF” before plugging the power supply cord into the wall

outlet. To disconnect turn the blender to OFF before removing the plug from the wall

outlet. Never leave the blender connected to the power outlet when not in use.

16. Avoid contact with moving parts.

17. Blades are sharp. Handle carefully. Always use caution when washing your blades.

18. To avoid personal injury, keep hands and utensils out of the blender and away from

its sharp blade during operation.

CAUTION:

WARNING: Read and understand all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions

listed below may result in electric shock, fire or serious personal injury. The

warnings, cautions, and instruction discussed in this instruction manual cannot

cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood

by the operator that common sense and caution are a factor which cannot be

built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator.

CAUTION: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal

injury resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.

Extension cords are available from local hardware stores and may be used if care

is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is required, special care and caution

is necessary. Also the cord must be: (1) marked with an electrical rating of 125V,

and at least 13 A., 1625 W., and (2) the cord must be arranged so that it will not

drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or

tripped over accidentally.

Polarized plug

NOTE:

 This blender has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).

 As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended

to fit in a polarized outlet only one way.

 If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.

 If the plug still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to

defeat this safety feature.

Electric power

If electric circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your blender may not

operate properly. The stand mixer should be operated on a separate electrical

circuit from other operating appliances.

Safety warning

Although your blender is easy to operate, for your safety, the warnings below

must be followed:

1. Do not place the blender near a heat source.

2. Never leave the blender unattended while connected to the electrical outlet.

3. Use the blender on a stable work surface away from water.

4. Do not unplug from the wall socket by pulling on the supply cord.

5. The blender must be unplugged:

A. After each use.

B. If it appears to be faulty.

C. Before cleaning or maintenance.

USER INSTRUCTIONS

Before First Use

Read all instructions before first use and follow them carefully.

Wash all pieces, except base unit, in warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly

before first use.

Do NOT immerse base in water or any other liquid.

How to Use

1. Prepare the fruit and vegetables before use.

2. Wash all produce before it is used.

3. As a general guideline, you do not need to peel any fruits and vegetables whose

skin you would normally eat.

4. Remove skin from thick skinned fruits, such as melon and pineapple.

5. Remove stones from cherries, peaches, nectarines etc.

6. Fruit containing small seeds, such as apples, do not need to be removed.

7. Cut the fruits and vegetables into small pieces that will fit easily into the cup.

Never attempt to force large items.

8. Place fruits and vegetables into cup.

9. Choose desired cup and place blade assembly onto cup by turning clockwise.

10. Turn cup upside down and place on base.

11. Line up the three tabs on the cup with the three notches on the base unit.

12. To have the blender on continuous mode, push cup down and turn clockwise to

lock into place.

13. To have blender on pulse mode, keep in line and push cup down for desired

blending time.

14. Once recipe is at desired consistency, turn off blender by pushing cup down and

turn counterclockwise.

15. Remove the cup and blade assembly from the base unit.

16. Remove the lid by turning it counter clockwise.

17. After you have poured the contents into the desired cup, wash the cup and blade

assembly in warm soapy water.

18. Unplug the Professional Nutrition Blender when not in use.

19. WARNING: The blades are very sharp - handle with care.

20. NOTE: The blender should not run for more than 30 seconds continuously. After

30 seconds, allow 1-2 minutes to cool down. If it overheats it will cut out

automatically and reset when sufficiently cool.

21. CAUTION: If the blade stops during continuous blending, a hard ingredient may

be stuck in the blade. Unplug the appliance, take the blade/cup assembly off the

motor base and shake the cup which should free the food from the blade. Return

the blade/cup to the motor unit and continue to blend.

HELPFUL HINTS

 For a coarsely chopped texture, press and release the cup onto the base in short

bursts. This will prevent the ingredients from being chopped too finely and

mushy.

 For a paste/puree, press and release the cup on the base for a longer period of

time.

 Fruit and vegetables should be precut into approximately 1” (25mm) cubes for

even chopping.

 Due to the density of some ingredients, it can make it hard for the ingredients

toward the top of the cup to reach the blades when chopping or mixing. If this

happens, remove the cup from the motor, shake to distribute the ingredients, and

re-blend.

 For best results when crushing ice, use the 24oz. cup with the stainless steel cross

blade. Add the ingredients for your smoothie or cocktail, add ice, and blend. Press

and release the container in short bursts.

 When blending soups, allow the soup to cool sufficiently before blending. Soup

may need to be blended in batches as the maximum fill mark is 22oz. (675ml) or

30oz. (875ml) for the large cup.

 The 32oz cup and the 24oz cup can be used to steam vegetables in the

microwave. Add vegetables to the cup along with a little stock or water and cover

loosely with plastic wrap. Microwave until tender (2-3 min). This is a great way to

make a quick and tasty soup at lunchtime. Just add seasonings, a dash of cream

and blend.

Cleaning and maintenance

CAUTION:

Always be sure that the blender is unplugged and completely cooled before

cleaning or attempting to store the item. NEVER IMMERSE base in water or any

other liquid.

It is important to clean your blender thoroughly after each use to prevent sticky

build ups that are difficult to clean later. Proper cleaning of the blender can lead

to a cleaner, better tasting food.

1. When performing any cleaning or maintenance to this unit, be sure to unplug

from power outlet first.

2. Remove the individual parts from the blender base.

3. Wash the parts in warm soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly before storing.

NOTE: All parts, EXCEPT the base, are dishwasher safe.

4. Wipe the base with a damp cloth, sponge or paper towel. Do NOT immerse

the base or run water over the base unit. Dry the surfaces with a soft cloth or

paper towel before storing.

5. Do not use abrasive cleaners on any part of the blender.

Información general

Al usar aparatos electrodomésticos, siempre se deben seguir las precauciones de

seguridad básicas. POR FAVOR, LEA Y GUARDE TODAS LAS INSTRUCCIONES ANTES DE

USAR LA LICUADORA PROFESIONAL PARA BEBIDAS NUTRITIVAS.

1. Para protegerse contra descargas eléctricas, no sumerja el cable ni el enchufe en

agua o cualquier otro líquido. Este aparato es un electrodoméstico. Para evitar el

riesgo de sufrir descargas eléctricas o lesiones personales graves, utilice siempre

la licuadora con las manos secas.

2. No deje nunca la licuadora conectada al tomacorriente cuando no está en uso.

3. No jale nunca del cable de alimentación para sacarlo de un tomacorriente.

4. No utilice la licuadora para un uso que no sea el previsto. No utilizar al aire libre.

5. Es necesaria una atenta supervisión cuando el aparato es usado por niños o cerca

PRECAUCIÓN: Se proporciona un cable eléctrico corto para reducir el riesgo de

Hay disponibles cables de extensión en las tiendas locales de hardware y estos se

pueden utilizar si se tiene cuidado en su uso. Si se requiere usar un cable de

 Si el enchufe no entra completamente en el tomacorriente, gire el enchufe.

Si el circuito eléctrico está sobrecargado con otros electrodomésticos, la licuadora

INSTRUCCIONES PARA EL USUARIO

Antes del primer uso

Lea todas las instrucciones antes del primer uso y sígalas atentamente.

Lave todas las piezas, excepto la unidad base, en agua tibia jabonosa. Enjuáguelas y

séquelas completamente antes del primer uso.

NO sumerja la base en agua o cualquier otro líquido.

Modo de empleo

1. Prepare las frutas y las verduras antes de usar la licuadora.

2. Lave todas las frutas y verduras antes de procesarlas.

3. Como norma general, no es necesario pelar ninguna fruta y verdura cuya piel

normalmente se comería.

4. Quite la piel de frutas con piel gruesa, tales como melones y piñas.

5. Quite las pepitas de las cerezas, los duraznos, las sectarias, etc.

6. No es necesario quitar las pepitas de las frutas con pepitas pequeñas, como

las manzanas.

7. Corte las frutas y verduras en trozos pequeños que quepan fácilmente en el

vaso. No intente nunca forzar alimentos más grandes en el vaso.

8. Introduzca las frutas y las verduras en el vaso.

9. Elija el vaso del tamaño adecuado y acople las cuchillas girándolas en sentido

horario.

10. Dé la vuelta al vaso y póngalo sobre la base.

11. Alinee las tres pestañas en el vaso con las tres muescas en la unidad base.

12. Para utilizar la licuadora en modo continuo, empuje el vaso hacia abajo y

gírelo en sentido horario para fijarlo en su lugar.

13. Para utilizar la licuadora en modo pulsación, mantenga el vaso alineado y

empújelo hacia abajo durante el tiempo deseado.

14. Una vez que la receta tenga la consistencia deseada, apague la licuadora

empujando el vaso hacia abajo y girándolo en sentido antihorario.

15. Quite el vaso y las cuchillas de la unidad base.

16. Para quitar la tapa gírela en sentido antihorario.

17. Después de verter el contenido, lave el vaso y el conjunto de cuchillas con

agua tibia y jabón.

18. Desenchufe la licuadora profesional para bebidas nutritivas cuando no la esté

utilizando.

19. ADVERTENCIA: Las cuchillas son muy afiladas, trátelas con cuidado.

20. NOTA: La licuadora no debe utilizarse de forma continua durante más de 30

segundos. Después de 30 segundos, espere 1-2 minutos para permitir que se

enfríe. Si se sobrecalienta, se detendrá automáticamente y podrá reanudarse

una vez que esté lo suficientemente fría.

21. PRECAUCIÓN: Si la cuchilla se detiene durante el licuado continuo, es posible

que un ingrediente duro se haya quedado atascado. Desenchufe el aparato,

quite el conjunto de las cuchillas/vaso de la base del motor y agite el vaso

para soltar el ingrediente de la cuchilla. Vuelva a poner las cuchillas/vaso en la

unidad del motor y siga licuando.
