Battery Charging
Removing the Battery: Turn the key counter clockwise to the UNLOCK position. Pull the
battery outwards and remove it from the bike frame.
Charging: Open the dust cover on the charging port of the battery. Plug the charger into
the battery charging port ensuring it is firmly in place. Plug the charger into an electrical
outlet and turn it on. The indicator light on the charger will change from GREEN to RED,
indicating the battery is charging. When the battery is fully charged, the indicator light will
change from RED to GREEN. After charging, unplug the charger from the power outlet first,
then disconnect charger from the battery and replace the dust cover.
Note: Ensure that the charging plug is securely in place at all times in order to prevent any
water ingress on the battery.
• Only use the charger provided with your bike to charge the battery.
• Avoid reverse charging the battery. Doing so will decrease the charge and discharge
characteristics and the safety of the battery pack.
• Do not cover the battery during charging.
• If during charging you find the battery pack is overly hot, emitting a bad smell, fading in
colour, cease use immediately and contact help.Kogan.com for support.
• When not use for an extended time, remove the battery from the bike or charger and
ensure it is at least half charged. Fully charge the battery at least once every two
months.
• The battery must be stored in a clean, dry and well-ventilated place. Avoid contact with
the corrosive materials and away from open flames and the other sources of heat.
• The storage temperature conditions for battery
o 1 year: -20°C ~25°C
o 3 months: -20°C ~45°C
o < 3 months: -20°C~60°C.
• When transporting the battery, ensure it must be packed in a box. Avoid exposure to
vibration, impact, direct sunlight, water and other liquids. Do not place any heavy
objects on top of the battery.
