Dress appropriately for weather conditions.
Kayak must not be used by a child aged less than 12 years old.
Kayak must not be used by a child aged between 12 and 18 years old without adult
supervision.
Ensure Kayak has even weight distribution of persons or loads in the boat.
IMPORTANT! WARNING:
For the safety of the operator and others in the vicinity of the kayak during operation, always
strictly observe the following safety warnings:
This is not a life-saving device.
Use only under competent supervision.
Never allow diving into this kayak.
Never leave in or near the water when not in use.
Never tow from any vehicle.
Using a paddle leash will help prevent you being separated from your paddle if you
capsize.
It is highly recommended that all occupants wear a helmet.
Adult assembly and operation required.
Excessive inflation of the kayak can cause the chambers to burst or cause damage to
the welded seams.
Review all safety requirements regularly. Never navigate alone.
Be careful when stepping or climbing aboard the kayak. Step into the centre of the
kayak for maximum stability. Distribute the weight of gear, tackle box and accessories
evenly so that the kayak sits even front to back and side and side. Uneven distribution of
persons or loads in the kayak can cause capsizing and drowning.
Do not use your kayak if you suspect a puncture or leak. It might be unsafe.
Failure to follow these guidelines may result in drowning, paralysis or other serious
injuries.
WARNING: Beware of offshore winds and currents. These could be unsafe conditions.
WARNING: It is the responsibility of the kayak operator to identify and obey all local and
state laws about kayak safety and required safety equipment. Please consult your local
authorities to ensure compliance.
Do not allow unattended children in the kayak. Always make sure that at least one
responsible adult is supervising all children and those who do not know how to swim.
Always maintain the proper kayak safety equipment in an easily accessible place in your
kayak. Indicate emergency phone numbers as well as safety advisories and rules (such
as “No jumping or Diving”)
The total number of occupants and total weight shall not exceed the information
printed on the kayak. Exceeding the data given on the capacity plate can cause
capsizing and drowning.
The kayak is designed to be storable, seasonal boat. If you live in a temperate area in
which the boat will not be in use all-year-round, it is strongly recommended that you
deflate the kayak and dry it thoroughly and store it in a protected area for the off-
season. This will help extend your kayak and prevent a safety hazard from developing
while the kayak is not in use.
Do not kayak under offshore
wind and winds exceeding
wind force of 4 on Beaufort
scale. Do not kayak with
waves exceeding 0.5m.
Wearing lifejacket is
mandatory.
Kayak is a beach craft; you
cannot get away more than
250m from the coastline.
Never kayak alone;
inform someone of your
kayaking route and
time.
Removable Fin
Fitting of the fin is recommended whenever you use your kayak in deep water (lake, sea,
etc.), where it helps keep the kayak in a straight line. Fitting of the fin is not
recommended for use in shallow water or white water. The fin would be likely to
damage the bottom of the kayak in shallow water and would reduce manoeuvrability in
white water. The bow and stern lines of the kayak have been designed to ensure good
handling without the fin.
We recommend to add your fin before inflation and remove it after inflation.
To attach, slide fin into slot on bottom of kayak.

OVERVIEW
Inflation
Inflatable Cruising Kayak is provided with a dual action hand pump, equipped with a nozzle
pipe fitting valve in the back. We advise you to flex your knees for a better comfort while
inflating.
For the first inflation and in order to get acquainted with your new product, inflate
indoors at room temperature where the PVC will be soft and assembly process will be
easier. Any use of an air compressor will damage your product.
Choose a smooth and clean surface to unfold your kayak.
If it was stored at a temperature below 0°C, leave it at 20°C for 12 hours before
unfolding.
Inflate it using the provided pump or any inflator designed for inflatable boats, rafts,
pool floats, air beds, camping mattresses, other low-pressure inflatables. These types of
inflators will have a hose and adapters to fit the valves on this product.
1. Your kayak is equipped with three Boston
valves
1.1 See figure: Unscrew the valve cap (1).
1.2 Screw the valve inserts (2) onto the base
(3) and ensure that the valve cap remains
accessible.
2. Insert the pump hose end piece and inflate it
until you will reach the required pressure (0.1
bar/ 1.5 PSI). After inflation secure all the
valve caps tightly by rotating clockwise.
3. Inflate the kayak in the order of inflation as shown on the capacity plate printed on the
product.
ASSEMBLY
(1) Valve Cap
(2) Valve Insert
(3) Valve Base
Note: A slight air-leak before screwing the valve caps is normal. Only the valve caps
can ensure proper AIR TIGHTNESS.
WARNING: Any use of a high-pressure compressor is prohibited.
Kayak could suffer irreparable damage. Do not use any sharp tools.
4. The correct pressure for this item is: 0.1 bar / 1.5 PSI (= 100 mbar). Do not exceed it.
5. Check the pressure using the supplied pressure:
o If the pressure is above 1.5 PSI, deflate the kayak until you reach the
recommended pressure.
o If the pressure below 1.5 PSI, inflate again slightly.
Adjustable Seats with Removable Cover
Your kayak is supplied with two adjustable seats with removable cover, that feature
comfortable high backrests. The seats are held in place by the Velcro strips on the
underside and by webbing straps on the sides of the backrest.
Place the seats into the kayak, matching the position of the Velcro strips on the floor.
Attach the webbing straps from the sides of the backrest to the D-rings located inside
the kayak, on the side walls/chambers. Tighten the straps as needed for proper back
support. You can choose adjust seat position for one or two passengers.
Paddles
When assembling the paddles, ensure the tube with three holes is in the middle.
Drain Valve
Your kayak has been designed with a drain system located on the underside of the
kayak in the rear. The valve the lower part of the body getting wet when the kayak is
used in calm water. It may be a little difficult to insert the plug in the drain orifice. The
tight fit retains the plug until it is removed, for example, when the kayak is to be used in
white water.
The self-draining bottom is a considerable advantage in white water: it allows rapid
removal of water from inside the kayak and thus improves its performance; it is also an
additional safety feature, as a kayak filled with water is difficult to manoeuvre
Note:
Before inflating your kayak, you can either close the drainage orifice to stay dry or open
it to allow any water to drain out.
Note: If you leave your kayak exposed to the sunlight, check the pressure and deflate it
slightly, otherwise the material may become overstretched. The ambient temperature
affects the tube’s internal pressure: a temperature increase of 1°C causes a variation of
the pressure in the tube of +/- 4 mBar.
Checking the Air Pressure
Boston valve (screw type):
1. Simply screw in the pressure gauge on top of the
adapter A,
2. Insert adapter pin into the valve, rotate it slightly until
the metal pin slides into one of the holes; the insert it
completely.
3. Once the manometer is well positioned, the pressure
level is indicated on the face of the manometer. Adjust
the inflation/deflation if necessary and repeat the
operation.
Transparent pinch valves (push-in type):
1. Simply screw in the pressure gauge on top of the
adapter B,
2. Insert adapter pin into the valve until the valve is
completely plugged up.
3. Once the manometer is well positioned, the pressure
level is indicated on the face of the manometer.
Adjust the inflation/deflation if necessary and repeat
the operation.
WARNING: Never exceed a pressure level 0.1 bar / 1.5 PSI.
OPERATION
Preparation before departure
Acquire the necessary information and inform other passengers:
1. Get information on local laws, regulation and hazards related to water activities
and kayak operation.
2. Check the weather forecast, local currents, tides and wind conditions.
3. Advise someone on the land of the time you plan to be back.
4. Determine the distance you can cover and remember that bad weather conditions
can alter this.
Check the working condition of the kayak and equipment:
1. Check inflation pressure.
2. Check all safety valves.
3. Check the load is evenly distributed on the deck of kayak: front to back and side to
side.
4. That the footrest will not entangle the feet of the occupants in the event of a
capsize.
Check that required safety equipment is onboard (Check your local/regional laws and
regulations for the location in which you’re kayaking)
1. One personal flotation device (PFD) for each occupant.
2. The air pumps, oars, repair kit.
3. The mandatory equipment.
4. This user guide and any necessary licenses / paperwork that may be required.
5. Lights are required if operating after dark.
Rules to observe during navigation
1. Be responsible and strictly follow the safety rules. Do not neglect the safety rules;
this could endanger your life and lives of others.
2. Learn to keep control of your kayak.
3. Respect local regulations and practices.
4. Navigate on “sheltered water” only.
5. Keep fire away. Do not smoke on board. Ash and fire can puncture the kayak.
6. Remember weather conditions can rapidly deteriorate. Always be sure that you can
reach shelter rapidly.
7. Neither the operator or passengers shall be inebriated while using the kayak. This
includes, but is not limited to, being under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or strong
medications.
8. Make sure to remain seated inside the kayak at all times.
9. No bow-riding. Riding on the edge/outside of the vessel is extremely dangerous
and can lead to capsizing and drowning.
10. Be very careful when landing. Arms and legs might be hurt when hanging off the
kayak.
11. Always avoid areas where divers/swimmers are in the water. Keep a sharp lookout
especially when operating near beaches and launch sites. The Alpha flag indicates
the proximity of divers. You MUST stay at a good distance (minimum 50 meters).
Remove oars/paddles and other accessories.
To deflate, unscrew the valves’ insert. Remove the fin.
Clean and check the kayak as well as all the accessories after each use. Rinse it
thoroughly making sure to remove any residues of salt if used in salt water.
Use a mild soapy solution, do not use detergents or any type of silicone-based
products. Make sure the product is completely dry before putting it away.
Fold the 2 sides into the middle, then roll it up from the opposite end of the valves (so
remaining air can escape from the valves); start again if you feel there is still some air in
the tubes.
When storing your inflatable, keep it in a clean and dry place that is not affected from
major variations in temperature and other damaging factors. You may store it deflated
and rolled up in the carry bag or assembled and lightly inflated (make sure you do not
subject it to deformations).
Repair
How to repair small punctures:
You can repair small punctures with the included repair kit. Please note that in order for
the repair to be successful, the humidity level should be less than 60%, temperature
between 18°C-25° C. Avoid carrying out repairs in the rain or in direct sunlight.
To remove the inside bladder(s) please open the zippers on the inside of the kayak
cover; each air chamber features a zipper at the bow and a zipper at the stern of the
kayak for quick and easy access. Check that the tube is fully deflated and lies flat.
1. Draw the shape of the patch exactly where it will be applied, cut a round patch at
least 2-5 cm larger than the cut/damaged area.
2. Clean the damaged area and the corresponding side of the patch with a grease
remover of the alcohol type and allow for it to dry for 5 minutes.
3. Apply 3 thin layers of glue on both the patch and the damaged area, allow for it to
dry for 5 minutes between layers until the glue feels tacky
CLEANING & CARE
WARNING: Tears or holes detected on sealing strips are not reparable
by the kit delivered. Cease use immediately and contact
help.Kogan.com for support.
4. When the third layer of glue is dry, apply the patch without pressing and adjust the
positioning if required, press the air bubbles which may have formed under the
patch by smoothing the patch with a round object such as a spoon, do this
procedure by starting in the centre of the patch towards the outside, clean the
excess glue with a solvent. Drying: 12 hours.
WARNING: Avoid glue contact with the skin or the eyes. Keep glue
away from the reach of children. Perform all of your repairs in a dry,
temperate and well-ventilated area.
