INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the KidiStar Music Magic MicrophoneTM!
This interactive microphone encourages your child to sing, dance,
perform and create! With the four built-in sing-along songs and four built-
in games and tools, there is plenty of singing and learning fun! You can
also plug in an external music player, such as an MP3 player or mobile
device (not included), to listen to your own music! Use Music Magic
mode to reduce the main vocal track of a song, so you can sing along to
your favorite songs as the lead!

Music Magic
Button
Music Magic mode works with the built-in songs
and the songs you choose on your own music
player. It reduces the main vocal track from
most songs. This allows you to perform like a
super star and sing along to the music as the
lead. Press the Music Magic Button to toggle
between Music Magic mode and Normal mode.
Music Magic mode:
Reduce the main vocal track from songs*.
Normal mode:
Normal music playback, without reduced
vocals.
*NOTE: Music Magic mode may not work for
all songs. Its effectiveness varies depending
on the song. For the best results, studio
recorded songs in stereo rather than mono
are recommended. Unfortunately, we cannot
guarantee Music Magic mode will work for
every song. We do not recommend using
Music Magic mode with mono recordings or live
concert performances, etc.
Record Press this button to start or stop recording.
NOTE: KidiStar Music Magic MicrophoneTM
records up to a maximum of 2 minutes.
When recording, please do not remove the
batteries, otherwise the recording will be erased.
Playback Press this button to play or pause your recording.
KidiStar Music Magic MicrophoneTM will
also exit the previous mode after this button
is pressed. To return to the previous mode,
press the Home Button and select your desired
mode again.

INSTRUCTIONS
Battery Removal and Installation
1. Make sure the unit is turned Off.
2. Find the battery cover located on the back of the unit, use a Philips-
head screwdriver to loosen the screws and then open the cover.
3. Remove old batteries by pulling up on one end of each battery.
4. Install 2 new AA (AM-3/LR6) batteries following the diagram inside the
battery box. (For best performance, alkaline batteries or fully charged
Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are recommended).
5. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screws to secure.
WARNING:
Adult assembly required for battery installation.
Keep batteries out of reach of children.

IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION
Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
Do not mix old and new batteries.
Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable batteries.
Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to
be used.
Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in re.
RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES:
Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging.
Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
TO BEGIN USING KIDISTAR MUSIC
MAGIC MICROPHONETM
ACTIVATING NORMAL PLAY
Press the On/Off Button to turn ON the unit.
LOW BATTERY ICON
When the batteries are exhausted, the low battery icon will be
displayed and the unit will automatically shut off. Please replace the
batteries with a full set of new batteries before further use.
AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF
To preserve battery life, KidiStar Music Magic MicrophoneTM will
automatically shut off if there is no operation for a short period of time in
Game mode. In Singing Fun and Free Play mode, the automatic shut off
time will occur after a longer amount of time. The automatic shut off time
can be adjusted for external music connection in Settings.

ACTIVITIES
Press the Home Button to enter the home menu for different activities.
1. Free Play
Free Play mode allows for open-ended play with the
microphone. Use your imagination to create your own
concert, talk show, talent show, or to just play around and
have fun! It’s Show Time!
2. Singing Fun
Choose the Singing Fun activity to sing along with four
built-in songs. Press the Selection Buttons to choose a
song and press the OK Button to begin. When you are
ready, press the Music Magic Button to reduce the main
vocal track from the built-in songs and sing by yourself like
a super star!
NOTE: For the lyrics to the four built-in sing-along songs, please refer
to the Appendix.
3. Your Music
Plug in an external music player, such as an MP3 player or
mobile device (not included), via the provided 3.5mm Jack
Audio Cable to listen to your own music! From here, you
can press the Music Magic Button to reduce the main
vocal track from the current song. Now you can sing along
and be a super star!
You can also set an auto-off timer in this mode. For details, please refer
to the Settings section of this guide.
The volume switch on the microphone cannot control the volume of
external devices. Please use the volume controls on your external music
player to increase or decrease volume.
Music Magic mode may not apply for all songs. For details, you may
refer to the Music Magic section under PRODUCT FEATURES.
NOTE: Please disconnect your external music player if it
is not in use. You can wind the 3.5mm Jack Audio Cable
around the KidiStar Music Magic MicrophoneTM and
hook it as illustrated.

4. GAMES & TOOLS
After entering the Games & Tools menu, press the Selection Buttons
to choose a game or tool, pressing the OK Button to conrm.
4.1 Music Catcher
In this game, try to catch the music note on the right
beat. When the music note is in the target area, push the
corresponding button to catch it. Try and catch them all!
4.2 Silly Beat, Silly Song
When there is a smiling face in the target area, press the
OK Button to add a silly sound effect to the song!
4.3 Beat Boxer
Beat Boxer is a tool that provides different musical beats
for your own beat box creation. You can create, sing and
beat box along to your preferred beat and record it! Play
it back to see how great your beat box creation was!
4.4 Tongue Twisters
Challenge yourself to master all of these tricky Tongue
Twisters! Press the Selection Buttons to select a
twister and then press the OK Button to conrm. Listen
to the instructions and repeat the Tongue Twister! Press
the OK Button when you’ve nished and select the next
Tongue Twister! Can you master them all?
NOTE: For all of the Tongue Twister sentences, please refer to the
APPENDIX.
5. Settings
Here you can make adjustments to the following settings:
• Light Brightness
• Auto-Off Timer for the External Music Connection
• Contrast
5.1 Light Brightness
Press the Selection Buttons to set the light brightness. Press the OK
Button to save your changes.

5.2 Auto-Off Timer for the External Music Connection
Here you can change the Auto-Off Timer for the External Music
Connection. This allows you to determine how long the microphone
will stay on without any input from the child when the device is plugged
into an MP3 player or mobile device. To do this, use the Selection
Buttons to choose your desired length of time and then press the OK
Button to save your changes.
5.3 Contrast
Press the Selection Buttons to set the contrast. Press the OK
Button to save your changes.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct
heat sources.
3. Remove the batteries when the unit is not in use for an extended
period of time.
4. Do not drop the unit on a hard surface and do not expose the unit to
excess moisture.

these steps:
1. Turn the unit OFF.
2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
4. Turn the unit back ON. The unit will now be ready to play again.
5. If the unit still does not work, replace with an entire set of new batteries.
