12-Channel Wireless Vibration Measurement Device
MON-10467
This document explains how to install the MON-10467. You can use the MON-10467 to
wirelessly connect up to 12 sensors, such as piezoelectric accelerometers, proximity probes,
tachometers, voltage, and temperature, to your network without conduit for power or network
lines. This device is available in lithium battery, 24 V DC, and 120/220 V AC variants to
support your application’s requirements. Rated for outdoor use, the MON-10467 has a rugged
enclosure and a built-in mounting flange. With a five second data buffer per channel and full
waveform transmission, this device is ideal for applications that require wireless monitoring.
Note Read the MON-10467 Safety, Environmental, and Regulatory Information

You can connect ground-referenced or floating signal sources to the MON-10467. Each analog
input channel has a 3-pin connector to which you can connect a signal source. The AI+
terminal accepts the positive input signal and provides the IEPE excitation when enabled. The
AI- terminal provides the excitation return path and connects to the AI ground reference. The
chassis ground terminal provides a direct connection to the MON-10467 enclosure to which
the input signal cable shield or drain wire can be connected.
Notice Refer to the MON-10467 Specifications on ni.com/manuals to ensure that
the devices you connect to the MON-10467 are compatible with the device
specifications.

Attention Mettez le MON-10467 (DC) hors tension avant de l'ouvrir pour
l'entretien.
Notice Do not put a load on the device door while it is open.
Complete the following steps to open and close the door of the MON-10467.
1. Loosen the four captive screws on the door of the device with a 1/4 in. socket or 6 mm
(1/4 in.) flat-blade screwdriver.
2. Open the door of the device slowly.
3. Clean the gasket and gasket mating surface with a dry or damp cloth prior to closing the
device door.
4. Close the door slowly.
5. Tighten the four captive screws on the door of the device to 1.3 N · m (11.5 lb · in.).
Mounting
The MON-10467 must be mounted upright to a rigid surface such as a wall, panel, strut
channel, or metal post. For installations that may experience vibration, NI recommends using a
thread locking compound or lock nuts.
Each flange has several bolt locations as shown in the following figure. The flanges are 4 mm
(0.157 in.) thick. The V-notch on the rear facilitates mounting to a round surface such as a pipe
or pole using a pipe clamp bracket.

Resistor
The MON-10467 analog input terminals are referenced to a common AI ground through a
50 Ω resistor. AI ground is not directly accessible. The MON-10467 provides overvoltage
protection for each channel. Refer to the MON-10467 Specifications on ni.com/manuals for
more information about overvoltage protection. Input signals on each channel are conditioned,
buffered, and then sampled by a 24-bit Delta-Sigma ADC. The MON-10467 has four
independent signal conditioning paths and ADCs, enabling simultaneous sampling of up to
four input channels. The following channels are sampled simultaneously:
AI0, AI1, AI2, and AI3
AI4, AI5, AI6, and AI7
AI8, AI9, AI10, and AI11
Each ADC can scan through three independent input channels for a total of 12 input channels.
You can configure each channel to AC or DC coupling. The AC coupling cutoff frequency is
configurable to 10 Hz or 2.0 Hz. You can turn the IEPE excitation on or off for each channel.
The IEPE excitation circuitry includes open and short circuit detection.
