Caution: Before starting the software or configuration loading process, certain
items may be required to be recorded first, to prevent loss of
information or settings. See Section 1 for details.
Caution: Make certain that all SD cards are available before starting. These are
usually located in a blue pouch onboard the aircraft (usually in AFM).
Caution: Follow all steps in a given section for specific loadings. Failure to do so
will result in probable rework.
Caution: Ensure that power is available through a GPU so that power is not
interrupted during the loading process.
Note: This document is to supplement, not replace, the Cessna Citation CJ3+
MM, and Garmin G3000 LMM.
Note: Reference latest revision of the Garmin G3000 LMM 190-01785-00.

Introduction G3000 System Familiarization
When in configuration mode, select GDU controls on left side of GTC 1. Ensure that PFD 1 is
selected on the screen. The dual concentric knobs on the lower right bezel will be utilized, and
throughout this document will be referred to as the FMS small and large knob. The Enter
button will be in the lower right part of the screen.
As an alternative, you can use the dual concentric knobs (labeled PFD) and Enter button on the
GCU-275 controller mounted above PFD 1.

Note: This is with the G3000 powered up in normal mode.
Synthetic Vision
o On the PFD, select PFD Settings, then select Attitude Overlays. If Synthetic Terrain
button is displayed, mark YES.
Checklist
o From the Home screen of either GTC 570, look for Checklist button to be
displayed. It may be grayed out, but if the button is present, mark YES.

CPDLC
o Mark YES if the CPDLC button is available on the home screen of either GTC.
Single GSR56 (Iridium Phone)
o On either GTC 570, select the SERVICES / TELEPHONE button, then select
Telephone. Mark YES if a single Iridium transceiver is displayed on the left side.
Dual GSR56 (Iridium Phone)
o On either GTC 570, select the SERVICES / TELEPHONE button, then select
Telephone. Mark Yes if a double Iridium transceiver is displayed on the left & right
side.
ACARS
o From the Home screen of either GTC 570, look for a Services button. If it is
located, select it and look for a button marked ACARS. If it is present, mark YES.
o The service provider will be determined later on page 11.

GDL69 (XM Receiver)
o From the Home screen of either GTC 570, touch the Weather button. Then touch
Weather Selection. If Sirius XM Settings is displayed, mark YES.
GSR56 Weather
o From the Home screen of either GTC 570, touch the Weather button. Then touch
Weather Selection. If CONNEXT WEATHER is displayed, mark YES.
Stormscope (Lightning Detect)
o From the Home screen of either GTC 570, touch the Weather button. Then touch
Weather Selection. If Stormscope is displayed, mark YES.
Doppler & Turbulence (Includes Ground Clutter Suppression)
o From the Home screen of either GTC 570, select the Weather button. Select
Weather Selection button. Select the WEATHER RADAR SETTINGS button & if the
Turbulence Detection & GND Clutter Suppression buttons are visible, mark YES.

Ground Clutter Suppression (Stand Alone Option Without Doppler & Turbulence)
o From the Home screen of either GTC 570, select the Weather button. Select
Weather Selection button. Select the WEATHER RADAR SETTINGS button & the
GND Clutter Suppression button will be visible, without the Turbulence
Detection button. Do not select YES if Doppler & Turbulence is selected YES
above.
Cabin Briefing
o From the Home screen of either GTC 570, select AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS. If the Cabin
Briefing button is displayed, mark YES.
SurfaceWatch
o From the Home screen of either GTC 570, select Utilities. Select Setup & then
Avionics Settings. Then select the Alerts tab. If the SurfaceWatch Inhibit button is
visible, mark YES. Note the Inhibit box will not be illuminated (resets at power up).

o If ADF is seen on the AUDIO & RADIO screen of either GTC 570, mark YES.
GDR66 (VHF Datalink (Datalink/COMM 3))
o If GDR or Datalink are seen on the AUDIO & RADIO screen of either GTC 570, mark
YES. They should appear as one of the 2 images below and labeled as COM3 with
frequencies, or Datalink showing on the right side.

o If HF9000 is seen on the AUDIO & RADIO screen of either GTC 570, mark YES.
DME 2
o If DME2 is seen on the AUDIO & RADIO screen of either GTC 570, mark YES.

TAWS Class A
o From the Home screen of either GTC 570, select the TAWS button. Then select
TAWS Selection button. If there are 6 buttons displayed on the page, then TAWS
A is loaded, and mark YES. Otherwise TAWS B is loaded as default. Note: First
image is TAWS B, and second image is TAWS A.
EROS Oxygen Mask
o Look at the crew mask and determine if EROS brand. If the mask is an EROS, mark
YES. Note: The option changes the gains for the microphone if EROS is installed.
Placing System Into Configuration Mode
Note: Anytime that software or configurations are being loaded, all three displays, and both
touch controllers must be in configuration mode.
When GCU 1 is replaced, then software and configuration loading is required.
1) Pull the following circuit breakers:
L PFD
MFD
R PFD
L Touch Control
R Touch Control
2) Insert the 010-01293-10 software loader card into the upper slot of PFD 1.

4) Press and hold the right knob on the left GTC and push the L Touch Control circuit
breaker in.
Let go when you see initializing.
5) Press and hold the right knob on the right GTC and push the R Touch Control
circuit breaker in.
Let go when you see initializing.
6) Press and hold the #12 softkey on the #2 PFD and push the R PFD circuit breaker
in.
Let go when you see initializing.
PFD 2 should come up in configuration mode.
SYSTEM STATUS should show at the top of the screen.
7) Press and hold the #12 softkey on the MFD and push the MFD circuit breaker in.
Let go when you see initializing.
MFD should come up in configuration mode.
SYSTEM STATUS should show at the top of the screen.
8) Press and hold the #12 softkey on the #1 PFD and turn on power.
Let go when you see initializing.
9) Press the NO softkey at “DO YOU WANT TO UPDATE SYSTEM FILES?” prompt.
10) Press the NO softkey at “DO YOU WANT TO UPDATE THE CUSTOM GRAPHICS
FILES (EG, SPLASH SCREEN)?” if it appears.
11) PFD 1 should come up in configuration mode.
SYSTEM UPLOAD should show at the top of the screen.

Determine Options Installed (Options That Can Only Be Seen In Configuration Mode)
Note: This is with the G3000 still powered up in configuration mode.
ACARS Service Provider (Only if ACARS was determined to be an option per page 3)
o Rotate small FMS knob until on AIRCRAFT CONFIGURATION page.
o On the IATA Airline Designator line, look for a 2 letter code and check appropriate
box in the table below.
XA designates ARINC Direct
GS designates Honeywell GDC
UV designates Universal Weather

TAWS A Voice Callouts (100-400 FT) (In Addition to Standard 500 FT Callout) (Only if
TAWS A option is installed)
o The system should still be in configuration mode from before.
o Rotate the large FMS knob until on the GDU tab (near the left side of the choices).
o Rotate the small FMS knob to the right until on TAWS Configuration.
o Select VCO (voice call out) at the bottom of the display.
o VCO 500 (500 FT) is highlighted, and will always show TRUE below it, as this is
standard. Do not mark YES for this part.
o Rotate the small FMS knob to the right one turn to change to VCO 400 (400 FT).
o If it is FALSE below the VCO 400 under the Enabled line, then the TAWS A
Callout feature is not turned on (Second Image). Select NO.
o If it is TRUE below the VCO 400 under the Enabled line, then the TAWS A Callout
feature is turned on (Third Image). Select YES.

o Push the FMS knob to deactivate the cursor.
o Rotate the small FMS knob to the right until on SurfaceWatch Configuration.
o If the following are shown, then the SurfaceWatch Voice Callouts are turned on:
Five Thousand= RTO
Four Thousand= RTO
Three Thousand= RTO/LRO
Two Thousand= RTO/LRO
One Thousand= RTO/LRO

Section 2 Software and Configuration Loading
This section will provide the steps necessary to target load the software and configuration into
GSA 80 Roll & GSA 80 Yaw Servos after swapping.
GSA 80 (Roll & Yaw Servos)
1) Activate the cursor by pushing down on the FMS knob.
2) Rotate the small knob to drop the menu down, and highlight ‘525B Base
Configuration’ in the GROUP field.
3) Press the Enter key.
4) Rotate the small knob to drop the menu down, and highlight ‘Cessna Model 525B
Base Configuration’ in the ITEM field.
5) Press the Enter key.
6) Select the CLR ALL softkey at the bottom of the display.
7) Using the FMS knob, highlight the following, press Enter for each, which will place
a check mark in each box:
GSA80 ROLL Software
GSA80 YAW Software
ROLL GAINS Software
YAW GAINS Software
8) Select the LOAD softkey at the bottom of the display.
9) Acknowledge when ‘Upload and Crossfill Complete’ is displayed by pressing the
Enter key.
10) Push the UPDT CFG softkey to update the system configuration files.
11) Select YES, and press the Enter key.
12) Acknowledge when ‘Update Config Completeis displayed by pressing the Enter
key.
13) Turn aircraft power off, and remove the 010-01293-10 software loader card
from PFD 1.

Section 3 Final Verification / Return to Service
Review the options that were determined to be installed per section 1.
Compare that to the tables in Section 4.
o Write the Expected FLEET ID in the table below.
Turn power on.
Select Home on either GTC controller.
o Select Utilities.
o Select Setup.
o Select Avionics Status.
o Select the LRU Info tab on the left side.
Verify that all the LRUs are showing green check mark.
o Select the Airframe tab on the left side.
o Verify that the FLEET ID matches the number determined in Section 4 based on
the options installed in the aircraft.
EXPECTED FLEET ID (from Section 4 of this document)
ACTUAL FLEET ID
Ensure that the Expected and Actual FLEET IDs match.
o Select the MSG button:
Verify there is no DB Mismatch message present.
Verify there is no Manifest message present.
Verify there is no Config message present.

Section 4 FLEET ID / CRC Numbers
This section will provide details on determining the correct FLEET ID or CRC number for a
particular CJ3+ aircraft based on the installed options. Through the rest of this section the
number will be referred to as a CRC number for simplification.
Every combination of options that have been ordered, delivered, or already determined is
listed. If you have an aircraft that has been modified in the field that now has a combination
not listed, please contact Team CJ at team[email protected]

Each option is assigned a letter to provide a combination of options to the final number.

Section 5 Troubleshooting
This section will provide corrective actions for issues seen after the software is loaded.
Fail Message During Software & Configuration Loading
o If a fail message occurs:
Acknowledge the pop-up window by pressing the Enter key.
Press the Enter key to uncheck the box where the FAIL occurred.
Select LOAD at the bottom of the display.
o After everything else is loaded successfully, reload the item that failed previously.
If that fails again, troubleshoot the issue.
Reloading the software and configuration for that component will
sometimes correct the issue.
Substitute LRU name for ***.
*** DB Error or *** DB Mismatch
o Ensure that the supplemental SD cards are installed in the lower slots of the
displays.
o Databases do not match.
o Verify which database is not the same, and reload as necessary.
*** Manifest Error
o Software does not match what the system is expecting.
o Check work performed and reload necessary software again.
*** Config
o Configurations do not match what the system is expecting.
o Check work performed and reload necessary configurations again.
