Brief instructions
This function lets you set one of the
three frying levels which dene
temperature of the cookware. The
appliance keeps the specied
temperature automatically while
frying. You can set the function for
the left front cooking zone of the
appliance.

Activating and deactivating
the Cook Assist function
To activate the function:
1. Put an empty pan on the left
front cooking zone.
2. Press

and to choose a frying
level. Conrm your selection with .
4. Wait until the appliance
detects the cookware.
5. After some time you can choose
with and if you want to use
Plancha Grillplate function.
6. Conrm your selection with
.
7. Wait until cookware reaches the
temperature of selected frying level
(display shows the information).
8. Put the food on the pan.

Plancha Grillplate function
Plancha Grillplate function lets you use
the Cook Assist function with Innite
Plancha accessory from Electrolux or
AEG. The Plancha Grillplate function
connects two left cooking zones for Cook
Assist function and they operate as one.
Adjustment of the temperature
for Cook Assist function
If the results do not meet your expectations
you can adjust the temperature of frying.
To adjust the temperature
touch
and increase or to decrease.
When you increase
the temperature the
symbol comes on.
When you decrease
the temperature the
symbol comes on.
Cook Assist function
How to save energy
Put cookware on a cooking zone before
you start it.
Use the residual heat to keep the food
warm or to melt it.
Cookware for induction cooking zones
Use the induction cooking zones with
correct cookware.
Cookware material
Cast iron, steel, enamelled
steel, stainless steel, the
bottom made of multi-
layer (with correct mark
from a manufacturer).
Aluminium, copper, brass,
glass, ceramic, porcelain.
Cookware is correct for
an induction hob if:
some water boils very quickly on a
zone set to the highest heat setting.
a magnet pulls on to the
bottom of the cookware.
The bottom of the cookware must
be as thick and at as possible.
CAUTION!
Use laminated pans only with low
and medium cooking level to prevent
damage and overheating of the
cookware.
Do not use a lid while using Cook
Assist function.
Induction cooking zones
For induction cooking zones a strong
electro-magnetic eld creates the
heat in the cookware very quickly.
Hints and Tips for Cook Assist function
To achieve best results with
Cook Assist function:
Start the function with cold appliance
(no manual heat up of the cookware is
necessary).
Use cookware made of stainless steel
with sandwich bottom.
Do not use cookware with embossment
at the center of the bottom.
The Examples of cooking applications for Cook Assist function
The data in the table shows examples of foods for each frying level. The amount, thickness, quality and temperature ( i.e. frozen ) of the
food have an inuence on the correct frying level. Choose frying level and adjustment that is the best foryour cooking habits and pans.
Frying level Food suggestion Use to prepare
Eggs Fried eggs, omelette, french toasts, let of sh, vegetable.
Pancake Pancakes, sh ngers, frozen foods, breaded food, steak medium.
Steak Steak rare.
You can adjust the results of frying if
they are not satisfactory. To do so
Reduce the level of frying if the food
is too brown / dark or is still raw.
Increase the level of frying
if the food is too pale.
Sometimes it might be necessary
to change frying level.
For more information on how to
change temperature please refer to

Cook Assist function” in user manual.
Different sizes of pans can cause
different heat up times. Heavy pans
store more heat than the light pans
but take more time to heat up.
