INSTALLATION
Positioning
The appliance should be installed well away from
sources of heat such as radiators, boilers, direct
sunlight etc.
Best performance is obtained with ambient
temperature between +18°C and +43°C (class
T); +18°C and +38°C (class ST); +16°C and
+32°C (class N); +10°C and +32°C (class SN).
The class of your appliance is shown on its
rating plate.
Ensure that air can circulate freely around the
back, top and bottom of the cabinet.
If the appliance is positioned below an
overhanging kitchen unit, the minimum distance
between the top of the cabinet and the wall unit
must be at least 100 mm (Fig. 1-A).
The ideal solution, however, is the one shown in
Fig. 1-B (without an overhanging unit).
The appliance can be installed with its sides
touching adjacent kitchen units provided that air
can circulate freely around the back and top.
Accurate levelling is ensured by one or more
adjustable feet at the base of the refrigerator.
Important
The appliance must be earthed.
The power supply cable plug is provided with a
contact for this purpose.
If the domestic power supply socket is not
earthed, connect the appliance to a separate
earth in compliance with current regulations,
consulting a specialist technician.
The Manufacturer declines all responsibility
if the above safety precautions are not
observed.
This appliance complies with EEC directive
number 87/308 of 2/6/87 relative to radio
interference suppression.

USE
Operation - temperature regulation
Turn the thermostat dial clockwise to the required
position (beyond the
O position); the
intermediate setting is generally the most suitable.
The temperature is automatically regulated; it can
be increased by turning the dial towards the lower
numbers and vice versa.
When selecting the correct position, remember
that the internal temperature depends on the
following factors:
– ambient temperature;
– how often the door is opened;
– the amount of food stored;
– where the appliance is installed.
To switch off, turn the dial until it coincides with the
O symbol.
Refrigerating food
The coldest area of the refrigerator is the part
immediately below the evaporator.
Meat and fish should therefore be stored
(wrapped in aluminium foil or cling film) on the top
shelf.
Cooked food (cover well to avoid it drying out) can
be placed on any shelf.
Fruit and vegetables should be placed in the
drawer provided.
Butter and eggs and also bottles should be placed
in the door compartments.
For best refrigeration results, it is important to
follow the rules below:
do not cover the shelves with paper, aluminium
foil or protective plastic sheeting;
arrange the food so that air can circulate freely
around it;
cover food, particularly if it has a strong smell;
do not open the door too often;
do not put warm food in the refrigerator, leave
to cool at ambient temperature before placing
inside.
Movable shelves
The walls of the refrigerator are equipped with a
series of runners so that the shelves can be
positioned as desired.
Fig. 5
Positioning the door shelf
To permit storage of food packages of various sizes,
central the door shelf can be adjusted in height.
To make these adjustments proceed as follows:
Gradually pull the shelf in the direction of the arrows
until it comes off, then reposition as required.
Fig. 6
Ice cubes
The refrigerator is equipped with an ice cube tray
which should be filled with drinking water and placed
in the evaporator compartment.
Defrosting
The evaporator will become gradually covered with
frost which must be removed periodically.
To defrost, proceed as follows:
remove the ice tray;
press the button in the middle of the thermostat dial.
Once defrosted, the refrigerator will start up again
automatically but the water which has collected in
the basin placed under the evaporator must be
removed.
Do not use metal implements to detach the
tray.
