READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS
AVOID DANGEROUS ENVIRONMENTS - Do
not use this product in the rain or in damp or wet
conditions. Do not operate in gaseous or explosive
atmospheres. Motors in these products normally
spark, and the sparks might ignite fumes.
DRESS PROPERLY- Don’t wear loose clothing or
jewelry and wear protective hair covering to contain
long hair. They can be caught in moving parts.
Use of rubber gloves and protective footwear is
recommended when working outdoors.
USE SAFETY GLASSES - Wear safety glasses
with side shields or goggles that are marked to
comply with ANSI Z87.1 standard when operating
this product. Use face or dust mask if environment is
dusty.
DANGER: Risk of cut. Keep hands away from
blades.
USE RIGHT APPLIANCE - Do not use this product
for any job except that for which it is intended.
WARNING: Switch off before adjusting or cleaning.
CAUTION: The blades continue to move for a few
seconds after the tool is switched off.
AVOID UNINTENTIONAL STARTING - Do not carry
this product with finger on switch.
IMPORTANT! Any use which is not expressly

STORE INDOORS-When not in use, this product
should be stored indoors in a dry location out of
reach of children.
STAY ALERT - Watch what you are doing. Use
common sense. Do not operate this product when
you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol

DANGER: If blade jams on any electrical cord or
line, DO NOT TOUCH THE BLADE! IT CAN
BECOME ELECTRICALLY LIVE AND VERY
DANGEROUS. Release the unit in the safest
manner possible. Disconnect the damaged
electrical cord or line from the power source. If
possible, do so safely, if in doubt, call an electrician
or the electrical contractor for assistance. Failure to
heed this Danger can result in serious personal
injury and possible death.
LIGHTING - Only operate this tool in daylight or
good artificial light.
DON’T OVERREACH - Keep proper footing and
balance at all times.
DANGER: Make sure trigger switch is off and
safety button is not pushed when clearing jammed
material from blades.

and clean for best performance and to reduce the

CAUTION: Always hold the pole pruner with your
right hand on the rear handle and your left hand on
the front aluminum pole. Holding the pole pruner
with your hands in the wrong positions increases
the risk of injury and must therefore be avoided.
CAUTION: Always wear suitable working clothes to
prevent injuries to the head, hands and feet. For
this purpose wear a helmet, safety goggles (or
visor), high boots (or strong shoes and long
trousers made of tough fabric) and work gloves.
CAUTION: Plan an escape route from falling
branches in advance. Make sure that this escape
route is free of obstacles which could restrict or
prevent free movement. Keep in mind that freshly
cut grass or bark is slippery.
CAUTION: Hold the tool by insulated gripping
surfaces only, because the pole pruner may
contact hidden wiring or its own cord.
CAUTION: Never stand below the branch to be
cut. Potential risk of injury from falling branches
projectiles!
CAUTION: The machine is not protected against
electric shock when coming into contact with
high-voltage lines.

EXPLANATION OF SYMBOLS
Some of the following symbols may be used on this product. Please study them and learn their meaning. Proper
interpretation of these symbols will allow you to operate the product better and safer.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
 The battery must be fully charged before using
for the first time. The charging time is 3 to 5
hours. (See page 5 for instructions.)
 Use appliances only with specifically designated
battery packs. Use of any other battery
packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
 To protect the lithium battery against deep
discharging, when the battery is flat, the tool
will automatically switch off via a protective
circuit.
If the On/Off switch is used continually at this point,
the lithium battery can be damaged. Do not try to
continue to use the tool before recharging the
battery.

UNPACKING
Carefully remove the product from the box. Make sure
that all items listed in the packing list are included.
Inspect all items carefully to make sure no breakage
or damage occurred during shipping.
Do not discard the packing material until you have
carefully inspected and satisfactorily operated the tool.
WARNING: If any parts are damaged or missing
please do not operate this product until the parts are
replaced. Failure to heed this warning could result in
serious personal injury. Call our customer service help
line at 1-800-618-7474 for assistance.
BEFORE STARTING THE EQUIPMENT
INSTALLING THE BATTERY
Press the both side of the battery pack as shown in
Fig.1 and push the battery pack into the mount
provided. When the battery pack is positioned as in
Fig. 2, make sure that the battery pack is locked in
place! To remove the battery pack, proceed in reverse
order.
CHARGING PROCEDURE (Fig.3)
1. Take the battery pack out of the equipment. Do
this by pressing the both
side of the battery pack.
2. Make sure the wall outlet
in your home is normal
household voltage
(AC120V, 60 Hz). Insert
the battery charger plug
into the wall outlet.
3. Insert the charger cable
into the charging inlet on
the battery.
STARTING AND STOPPING
Starting:
1. Push the safety lock button and press the
on/off trigger switch at the same time.
2. Release the safety lock button.
Stopping:
1. Release the on/off trigger switch.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: Before any work on the machine (e.
g. maintenance, changing the tool, etc.) as well
as during its transport and storage, ensure
safety lock-off is in the off position. There is
danger of injury when the On/Off switch is
unintentionally actuated.
To close the moving blade, activate the safety
lock-off by pushing it forward and pressing the ON/
OFF switch at the same time. To open the blade,
let go of the ON/OFF switch.
Never operate the machine in an awkward
posture. This may cause serious injury.
Keep your free hand away from the cutting
area. Never touch the blades. They are very
sharp and you may cut yourself. Always wear
protective gloves while pruning.
CHANGING BLADE (Fig.4-6)
Warning: Remove battery from pruner before
Changing the blade.
Always wear protective gloves when Changing
the blade.
Never attempt to operate the machine without
the blade, spacer or screw correctly secured to
prevent damage to the machine.
To remove the moving blade (1), use a Hexagon
wrench socket key (not provided) to remove the
blade nut (2) which secures the blade. Remove the
blade wave washer(3) and the washer (4) then
remove the blade bolt (5). Remove the moving
blade (1) along 45 ° direction.

 During the charging process, it is normal for the
battery pack to warm up.
 Only charge the battery between 0°-37.8°C (32°
-100°F).
 After prolonged use, allow the battery to cool
down before recharging.
 To ensure that the battery pack provides long
service, you should take care to recharge it
promptly. You must recharge the battery pack
when you notice that the power of the cordless
pruner drops. Never fully discharge the battery
pack. This will cause battery damage.
4. The red LED charging indicator lights up to tell
you that the battery pack is on charge. The
battery is fully charged when the red LED is no
longer lit, and green LED lights up.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
To Insert the moving blade (1), be careful not to
allow any foreign matter to become attached to
the blade gear and do not damage it. First Insert
part of the tooth of the blade into the case as shown,
then rotate the blade (1) until the hole of the blade
(1) is aligned to the hole of the aluminum gearbox.
Incorrect location of the blade will damage the
machine. Install the blade bolt then install the
washer (4) and the wave washer (3). Attach the
blade nut (2) and tighten. Do not over tighten.

USING THE EXTENTION AND ROTATION FEATURE ON
THE CONNECTING POLE
Extend or shorten the
length of the telescopic pole
by loosening the clamp
coupling for telescopic pole
and pull in or push out the
lower section to achieve the
correct length. Then tighten
the coupling.
Adjusting the angle of pruner in the vertical direction
Press the rotating button on both sides for the angle of tilt
adjustment . Set the pruner to the desired tilt. Release the
button and allow the pruner to lock into position to lock the
angle of tilt. Four different locking angles are possible. The
adjusting range is from 0 ° to 90 °.
Adjusting the angle of pruner in the horizontal direction
Holding the connecting pole with one hand, and the pruner
bracket with the other. Rotate the pruner bracket firmly to the
desired angle. The adjusting range is from -90 ° to +90 °.
CONNECTING THE POLE
Using the telescopic long handle. You can prune the
branches farther away .
Holding the connecting pole with one hand, and the front
of the pruner with the other, push the battery pack of the
pruner in to the pruner bracket until the pruner is fully in
place. Close the pruner cover and tighten the butterfly
bolt. Then connect the power connector to the battery
pack on the pruner.
To take apart, proceed in the reverse order.

MAINTENANCE / CLEANING / STORAGE
MAINTENANCE:
CAUTION: Blades can cause injury. Do not press
the safety lock of the pruner during maintenance
work.
Note: To ensure long and reliable service, regularly
carry out the following maintenance:
 Check for obvious defects such as a damaged
or loose blade, housing, or components.
 If the tool should stop working properly, repair
should be carried out by a qualified individual,
using identical replacement parts.
CAUTION: Never clean the pruner in water
(especially running water), as there is a risk of
personal injury and damage to the pruner.
To obtain good cutting results, always make sure
the blades are sharp, and clean them from time to
time with a soft dry cloth.
A few drops of oil (e.g. sewing machine oil) will
improve the cutting performance of the blades, but
never apply any grease to the blades.
There are no parts inside the equipment which
require additional maintenance.
CLEANING / STORAGE
 Clean the exterior of the tool thoroughly
using a soft brush and cloth. Do not use water,
solvents, or polishes.
 After use, cover the blades with the guard
provided.
 Charge the battery 3 to 5 hours before storing.
 If the tool is to be stored for an extended period
of time or during winter storage, charge the
battery at least once every three months to
protect it from damage.
 Store the tool in a dry secure place out of reach
of children.
 Do not place any other objects on top of the
tool.
 This tool must not be stored in temperatures
over 40°C (104°F) or under direct exposure to
sunlight.
 Do not store the tool in places with static
electricity.

BATTERY DISPOSAL
Remove the battery pack from the product. Cover the terminals with heavy duty adhesive tape. Do not attempt to destroy or disassemble battery pack
or remove any components. This product contains lithium-ion batteries which must be recycled or disposed of properly. Local, state or federal laws
may prohibit disposal of these batteries in ordinary trash.
The RBRC seal on the li-ion battery pack indicates that the costs to recycle the battery pack at the end of its useful life has already been paid
by The Great States Corporation American Lawn Mower Company. It is illegal to place spent li-ion batteries in the local municipal solid waste
or in the trash. RBRC in cooperation with The Great States Corporation American Lawn Mower Company has provided an environmentally
friendly and easy way to recycle spent li-ion batteries. Just contact your local recycling center or call 1-800-8BATTERY for information on
where to drop off the spent battery.

WARRANTY POLICY
Scotts Warranty policy
 2 Year limited warranty on all Scotts electric hand tools from date of purchase when used for personal, household, or family use.
The Great States Corp. (GSC)warrants to the original owner that this Scotts product and service part is free from defects in materials and
workmanship and agrees to repair or replace any defective product or part for the warranty period as stated above.
 Warranty voided if used for commercial or industrial purposes or any other improper use as determined by GSC.
 Warranty does not include repairs necessary due to operator’s abuse or negligence (including overloading the product beyond
capacity or immersion in water), or the failure to assemble, operate, maintain or store the product according to the instructions in the
owner’s manual.
 This warranty does not cover
 Wear items, including but not limited to - drive belts & gears, tines, cutting blades, mower blades, saw chains, mulching
blades, blower fans, spool covers, trimmer line, blower and vacuum tubes, guide bars, high pressure hoses, wheels,
handles, augers, worn bags, power cables, and other items subject to wear over time.
 Wear on batteries, including but not limited to – drops, wear and breakage on charger, exposure to extreme temperature
swings (hot or cold), battery left on charger too long, battery left uncharged for too long, and misuse or abuse of the battery.
 This warranty does not cover damage caused by cold, heat, rain, excessive humidity or other environmental extremes.
 This warranty does not cover normal deterioration of the exterior finish or normal wear and tear on the products including, but not
limited to scratches, cracks, dents, or damage caused by outside chemicals.
 This warranty is not transferable and only applies to new products sold directly from an authorized retailer. This warranty does not
apply to any product, new or used, purchased through unauthorized third-party channels. For information on authorized dealers,
contact our customer support hotline at 1-800-618-7474 (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm Est)
 Any incidental, indirect or consequential loss, damage, or expense that may result from any defect or malfunction of the products is
not covered by the warranty.
 The warranty does not include installation, assembly or normal adjustments explained in the operator’s manual. The expense of
delivering the product to the vendor and the expense of returning the product or replacement parts to the owner is not covered by
the warranty.
Additional Warranty Limitations
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
Products sold damaged or incomplete, sold as is, or sold as reconditioned are not covered under the warranty.
Damage or liability caused by shipping, improper handling, improper assembly, incorrect voltage, improper wiring, improper maintenance,
improper modification or the use of accessories and/or attachments not specifically recommended is not covered by this warranty.
Proof of purchase, original dated sales receipt, must accompany all warranty claims.
