Battery Installation
1. Hold the radio upside down and slide the battery
compartment door in the direction of the arrow until
the door pops open.
2. Insert two "AAA" size battery (not included), following
the polarity diagram shown on back of the unit. We
recommend using alkaline batteries for longest life.
3. Push the battery compartment door closed and slide
it back opposite the direction of the arrow.

Using the Belt Clip
With the supplied Belt Clip, you can wear your
unit on a belt for convenient use.

Memory Backup
In order to maintain the memories when installing new
batteries, the unit must be turned off and new batteries
installed within 30 seconds.
NOTE:
Sometimes, erratic information may appear on the LCD display
when batteries are changed. In order to reset the unit, remove
the batteries and install batteries after waiting for 5 minutes.
The memories and current time must be reset.
Using Wrist Strap
1. Insert strap and loop through.
2. Pull and tight up the strap.
Listening to the Radio
1. Set the Power ON/OFF switch to ON position.
2. Select the FM or AM band by pressing the Band button.
The FM and AM bands are alternately selected each
time when the band button is pressed.
3. Insert the headphones plug into the headphones jack.
4. Press the TUNE button.
Higher frequency can be selected by pressing the
UP button and lower frequency by DOWN button.
Pressing either button and holding for more than 1
second activates the automatic tuning mode and
stops automatically when a broadcasting band is
found.
The automatic tuning will continue to scan even
after the search reaches either of the band edges
(max. frequency or min. frequency). Once the
search reaches max. frequency, it will return to
min. frequency and continue to search upwards.
Press the TUNE button again to select the desired
band.
5. Adjust the VOLUME controls, as desired.

6. If you are carrying the radio in a backpack, handbag
etc. while you are listening, you may slide the LOCK
Switch to the ON position to disable all of the front
panel controls. This will prevent the station from
changing accidentally if something should
accidentally presses against the TUNING UP or
DOWN button. When the lock feature is engaged, the
LOCK Indicator appears in the display. Slide the
LOCK Switch to the OFF position to cancel the lock
feature and resume normal operation.
7. When you are finished listening, slide the POWER
switch to the OFF position to turn the radio off.
Remember that just removing the headphones does
not turn the radio off. If you do not set POWER switch
to the OFF position, the radio remains ON even if the
headphones are not connected, and the batteries will
continue to drain.
Storing Stations
Up to 20 stations (10 AM and 10 FM) can be
stored in the Tuner Memory.
1. Tune to the first station you wish to memorize as
described in the pervious section.
2. Press the MEM button. The MEMO indicator will blink
in the display.
3. While the MEMO indicator is blinking, press either the
MEM. CH
or button to select one of the ten Preset
Memory Locations, then press the MEM button again
to enter your desired station into that preset memory
location number.
4. Repeat steps 1 through 3, to continue entering up to
10 station in each band.
5. After you have finished storing stations in the Memory,
you can recall any of the stored stations by simply
pressing the MEM. CH
or button until the desired
preset number and radio frequency appears in the
display.
NOTE :
To change any of the stations stored in simply enter a new
station in the desired memory location. The previously stored
station will be replaced by the new station.
Time Preset
PRESET TIME
Press the time button once. The current time will blink.
Press the HR button to advance the hour, press the
MIN button to advance the minute.
Press the TIME button again, the system will go back
to the current time mode.
NOTE:
If the unit is left in the present time set mode for 5 seconds
without any operation, it will automatically return to the original
display mode.
Other Features
Using Bass Boost switch
To increase the bass response, slide the BBS (Bass
Boost) switch to the ON position.
Antennas
1. The AM band has a built-in ferrite bar antenna which
provides adequate reception in most areas.
2. The FM antenna is built into the headphones cord. Be
sure to extend it for best reception.
Precautions
1. Do not expose the unit in extreme temperature, direct
sunlight, moisture, sand, dust or mechanical shock.
Never leave the unit in a car parked in the sun.
2. Clean the headphones plug periodically for optimum
sound.
3. Do not use alcohol, benzine or thinner to clean the
case.
