In one mouthful, Froggy Feeding Fun emphasizes proper handwriting
position and teaches colors, counting, and much more! The adorable frogs
in this set are made for small hands to squeeze while developing thumb-
forefinger strength critical to a firm pencil grip.
Note: Give children plenty of time to explore and
play with the frogs and flies before working on
the following activities. Model the correct way
to use the frogs to ensure children build muscle
strength correctly.
For activities listed below, stand flies vertically
for best results.
Suggested Activities
•   Children open the frog’s mouth by squeezing with one hand and feed 
flies to the frog using their other hand.
•   Have children take turns holding the frog, squeezing it, and picking up 
flies that are on the table.
•   One child rolls the number die and picks up that many ies, putting 
them in a pile. Other children take turns rolling the die and picking up 
flies. When all the flies are gone, children count their flies. The child
with the most flies wins!
•   Have children try to make a color pattern with the ies. Children use 
the frog to pick up the correct color fly that makes a pattern.
•   Children roll the color and number dice at the same time. Children use 
the frog to pick up flies that match the dice.
Intervention Strategies
•   Have children squeeze the frog’s mouth open and closed to develop 
muscle strength in the hands and fingers.
•   Children can squeeze and hold the frog’s mouth open while a partner 
puts ies in the frog’s mouth. 
•   For children who have not mastered color and number recognition, 
use the frog and the flies without the dice. Let children pick up any
number and any color of flies for an easier activity.
