instructions in this leaflet carefully and keep them safe.

Prevention of accidents at home
• For a child, even a slight burn may sometimes be serious.
As they grow up, teach your children to be careful around hot
appliances in the kitchen.
If an accident occurs, rinse the burn immediately with cold water
and call a doctor if necessary.

Before using for the first time
Remove any packaging, stickers or accessories inside and outside
the appliance.
Before using for the first time, wash the measuring spoon and the
lid with a sponge dampened with hot water and washing-up
liquid.
Connection
Place the appliance on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.
To keep the appliance from overheating, do not place it in a corner
or against a wall.
Completely unroll the cord.
Check that your electric supply is compatible with the power
and the voltage indicated under the appliance.
Connect the appliance to a wall socket with an earth
connection.
If an extension cord is used:
- it must be with an incorporated earth connection;
- take every precaution to ensure that people cannot
become caught up in it.
The supply cord should be regularly examined for signs of
damage and the appliance is not to be used if the cord is
damaged.
If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified
person in order to avoid a hazard.
If you do use your appliance
in the company of children:
• always use it under adult
supervision;
• never touch the hot
surfaces of the appliance;
• never leave the appliance
unattended when plugged
in or in use.
Never submerge the
appliance and its cord in
water.
Never use on a flexible
surface such as a rubber or
paper tablecloth.
Never place the appliance
directly on a fragile support
(glass table, tablecloth,
varnished furniture, etc.).
Never leave the appliance
plugged in when not in use.
Never run the appliance
when empty.

Making popcorn
Only use popping corn not microwave popcorn.
Using the measuring spoon, pour a dose of popping corn into the
appliance.
The maximum amount of popping corn is one spoonful.
Put the lid on the appliance and the measuring spoon on the top
of the lid.
Place a large heat-resistant bowl under the appliance’s pouring
spout to hold the popcorn.
Set the switch to position “1”.
When using for the first time, a slight odour and smoke may be
produced for the first few minutes.
After a few minutes, the corn will finish popping.
Switch off the appliance (position 0).
The appliance is hot after use: handle with care.
Before continuing:
Let the appliance cool down for at least 10 minutes after each
popping.
A few unpopped kernels of corn may remain inside the appliance
after use.
Be sure to remove these kernels after each use.
CAUTION: Do not run the appliance for more than 5 minutes
at a time.
After use
Switch off the appliance (position 0).
Unplug the cord from the electrical outlet.
Let the appliance cool down.
Remove any unpopped kernels of corn from the appliance.
Clean the lid, the measuring spoon and the body of the appliance
with a sponge dampened with hot water and washing-up liquid.
Do not clean in a dishwasher.
Store the appliance in a dry place.

• Your appliance contains valuable materials which can be recovered
or recycled.
• Leave it at a local civic waste collection point.

Never use the appliance
without its lid and without

Do not add other ingredients
(oil, sugar, etc.).
Never leave the appliance
running without supervision.

releases hot air when in use.

scouring powder.
Never submerge the
appliance’s base and cord in
water.

Caramel corn recipe
Pop the popcorn in the machine.
Heat the butter in a non stick. saucepan on a medium heat. Once
the butter has melted, add the sugar and melt on medium heat to
form caramel (caution, it forms fast!). Once the caramel has formed,
lower the heat and pour the popcorn in, stirring vigorously (all the
kernels should be coated).
Pour into a bowl and serve.
For 2 servings
• 1 measuring spoon of
popping corn
• 1 tablespoon unsalted
butter
• 3 tablespoons caster sugar
