Important safety instructions
The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within
an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user
to the presence of un-insulated “dangerous voltage”
within the product’s enclosure that may be of
sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric
shock to persons.
Safety precautions
1 - Read the instructions:
All the safety and operating information should
be read before the apparatus is operated.
2 - Keep the instructions:
The safety and operating information should be
retained for future reference.
3 - Heed all warnings:
All warnings on the appliance and in the
operating instructions should be heeded.
4 - Follow all instructions:
All operating and use information should be
followed.
5 - Water and moisture:
This apparatus is IPX5 Water Resistant. This
apparatus is NOT intended to be submerged in
water, but are resistant to rainfall, water jets,
and water splashing under normal usage.
6 - Object and liquid entry:
Never insert objects of any kind through the
openings of this apparatus, as it may touch
dangerous voltage points or short-circuit parts
that could result in a fire or electric shock. Care
should be taken so that objects do not fall and
liquids are not spilled into the apparatus
through openings in the enclosure.
7 - Cleaning:
Clean the apparatus only with a dry cloth.
8 - Heat:
Do not expose the apparatus or battery to
excessive heat, including direct sunlight or fire
and storage or use inside cars in hot weather,
where it can be exposed to temperatures in
excess of 115°F (60°C).
Doing so may cause the battery and power
supply to generate heat, rupture, or ignite. Using
the apparatus in this manner also may result in
a loss of performance and a shortened life
expectancy.
Extended exposure to direct sunlight may
damage the external appearance and material
qualities.
9 - Lightning storms
Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms.
10 - Fall hazard:
Do not step on, throw, or drop batteries or the
power supply, or expose them to a strong
shock.
11 - Protective earthing terminal:
The apparatus should be connected to a mains
socket outlet with a protective earthing
connection.
12 - Grounding or polarization:
Do not defeat the safety purpose of the
polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized
plug has two blades with one wider than the
other. A grounding-type plug has two blades
and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or
third prong is provided for your safety. If the
provided plug does not fit into your outlet,
consult an electrician for replacement of the
obsolete outlet.
13 - Power cord protection:
Protect the power cord from being walked on or
pinched particularly at plugs, convenience
receptacles, and the point where it exits from
the apparatus.
14 - Specified attachments:
Only use attachments/accessories specified by
the manufacturer.
15 - Modification:
Make no modifications to the apparatus or
accessories. Unauthorized alterations may
compromise safety, regulatory compliance, and
system performance, and will void the warranty.
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, DO NOT OPEN THIS PRODUCT.
NO USER-SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE. REFER SERVICING TO QUALIFIED
SERVICE PERSONNEL.
The exclamation point within an equilateral
triangle is intended to alert the user to the
presence of important operating and maintenance
(servicing) instructions in the literature accompa-
nying the appliance.
WARNINGS
Fire and electric shock hazard
1 - As with any electronic products, use care not to
spill liquids into any part of this apparatus.
Liquids can cause a failure and/or a fire hazard.
2 - Do not place any open flame sources, such as
lighted candles, on or near the apparatus.
3 - The battery pack shall not be exposed to
excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
4 - Do not short-circuit batteries.
5 - Do not pierce, crush, dent, or deform the
batteries or power supply in any way. If either
becomes deformed, properly dispose of it.
6 - Do not attempt to service the apparatus
yourself.
7 - Opening or removing covers may expose you to
dangerous voltages or other hazards and will
void the manufacturer’s warranty.
8 - To prevent risk of fire or electric shock, avoid
overloading wall outlets, extension cords, or
integral convenience receptacles.
WARNINGS
Battery charging
1 - To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do
not expose the apparatus to rain or moisture
while charging.
2 - The apparatus should not be exposed to
dripping or splashing; and objects filled with
liquids, such as vases, should not be placed on
or near it while being charged.
3 - Do not continue charging the battery if it does
not reach full charge within the specified
charging time. Overcharging may cause the
battery to become hot, rupture, or ignite.
4 - Do not attempt to charge the battery in
temperatures outside the range of 32°-104°F
(0°-40°C).
5 - If you see any heat deformation or leakage,
properly dispose of the battery.
6 - If the battery begins to leak, do not allow the
liquid to come in contact with your skin or eyes.
If contact has been made, wash the affected
area with plenty of water and seek medical
attention immediately.
