Thank you for purchasing the Peachtree MV-500
mechanical kitchen scale. Please read all operating
instructions carefully before use. Scales are precision
measuring devices and should always be handled with
proper care. To ensure years of reliable service, keep these
simple tips in mind:
• Do not leave weight on the scale for long periods of
time.
• Store your scale in a clean, dry location. Dust, dirt,
and moisture can accumulate on the weighing
mechanism and create friction.
• Do not use harsh chemicals to clean the scale.
Instead, use a damp cloth.
• Alwaysweighonaatandlevelsurface.
• Gently apply all items to be weighed. Do not drop
items onto the weighing platform.
• Avoid dropping your scale. The warranty does not
cover damage due to rough treatment or overload.
• Do not disassemble your scale. This product contains
no user serviceable parts.

1. Placethescaleonaat,levelsurface.
2. Make sure the included measuring cup is on the
platform and the scale is “zeroed”. (see Part III)
3. You may now add weight to the cup and oberve the
change in weight.
III. Using the Zero Adjustment Dial
You can use this scale’s zero adjustment dial to set the
indicator back to the zero postion.
1. Place a container such as the included measuring
cup onto the scale platform.
2. Using the zero adjustment dial on the back of the
scale, adjust the indicator until it reads 0 grams.
NOTE: You cannot zero out a container that weighs under
50 grams or over 120grams (Tare range: 50g-120g). The
measuring cup weighs 60 grams.
