INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the ICE SHAVING BLENDER from Nostalgia Electrics™!
The ICE SHAVING BLENDER is a frozen drink machine that will make perfect
frozen drinks such as margaritas, daiquiris or smoothies, every time!
The ICE SHAVING BLENDER has a generous 36-ounce glass pitcher with
liquid measurements on the side. The variable blending options allow choice of
shave pulse, shave, blend pulse and blend. The blend pulse and blend options
are designed to ensure that the right amount of shaved ice and drink mix is
proportionately added to the ICE SHAVING BLENDER for perfectly mixed drinks.
The ICE SHAVING BLENDER features an attractive, slim, upright design that will
take a limited amount of space on the counter. Best of all, melting ice is channeled
into a water reservoir to prevent beverages from becoming watered-down.
Using your ICE SHAVING BLENDER is easy as 1-2-3:
easy to use, easy to clean and easy to store!

PARTS & ASSEMBLY
After Taking the Unit Out of the Box:
Wipe down the ICE SHAVING BLENDER exterior with a clean, non-1.
abrasive cloth or sponge. Thoroughly wash Pitcher, Pitcher Lid, Blending
Blade and Base, Ice Tray, Ice Chamber Lid, and Water Reservoir in warm
sudsy water and thoroughly dry. DO NOT put the Motor Base in water.
Check the base of the Pitcher to confirm the Blending Blade and Rubber 2.
Washer are in place and the base has been properly attached.
Set the Pitcher Lid on the mouth of the Pitcher. Note the ice shaving chute moves 3.
up and down to allow for the insertion of the Pitcher. Tip the Pitcher slightly
as you insert the mouth of the Pitcher under the ice shaving chute, pushing
upward and simultaneously setting the Pitcher Base onto the Motor Base.
To open the Ice Shaving Chamber located at the top of the Motor 4.
Base, push the front tab away from you. With your thumb on the
tab and your first two fingers hooked into the lip (located directly
across from the tab over clear window), gently lift up.
To close the Ice Chamber Lid, note the two hinge holes located at the 5.
top back of the Motor Base that will accept the two hinges located on
the underside of the Ice Chamber Lid. Set the hinges in place as this

Next, make sure the tab extrusion located at the front end of the Lid is 6.
positioned to fit into the groove located at the front inside top of the
Ice Shaving Chamber. The proper insertion of the tab into the groove is
mandatory in order for the ICE SHAVING BLENDER to operate.
The Lid should close and snap shut with the Lid fitting smoothly into place.7.
Before first use, tighten the Blade Cap by twisting firmly (see 8. Changing
the Blade for location), as it may have become loose during shipping.
The Water Reservoir is located at the back of the Motor Base. 9.
It is removable and snaps in and out for easy cleaning.
Now you are ready to enjoy cold, refreshing margaritas
and drinks from your ICE SHAVING BLENDER!
HOW TO OPERATE
First, find a stable surface near an electrical outlet before 1.
starting. Make sure the cord is away from any water source.
It is acceptable to use an extension cord if needed.
Fill the Pitcher with your favorite liquor, drink mix or fruit. You may choose 2.
to follow one of the recipes included in this Instruction Manual.
Put the Picher Lid on the Pitcher and set the Pitcher in place.3.
Set aside a dish of ice cubes and allow ice to sit for about 5-10 minutes, 4.
or until ice has slightly melted and does not have a frosty appearance.
Open the Ice Shaving Compartment and make sure 5.
that it is free from any foreign objects.
Add enough ice cubes to reach, but not pass, the max fill line.6.
Plug in unit while it is in the OFF position.7.
Turn unit on.8.
Select blending and ice shaving settings by pushing the buttons 9.
located at the bottom of the ICE SHAVING BLENDER.
Please note that during the first few uses, you may notice a slight 10.

HELPFUL TIPS
Shaving Ice
For best results, let ice sit in a separate bowl or container for 5-10 minutes before •
putting in Ice Shaving Chamber. Ice should be slightly melted before shaving.
The Pitcher is able to hold more liquid than the fluid ounce measurements •
allow, but has been marked to prevent spillage resulting from ice shaving
volume. If using the Ice Shaver, make sure to fill the Pitcher with no more
than 24-ounces of liquid. Exceeding this amount will result in spillage.
Prior to each use, make sure that Blade Cap has been •
tightened for optimal shaving results.
Odor
As with most modern blending appliances, this unit has a high RPM electric
motor. It is common for the motor to emit a slight graphite or burning odor
for the first few uses. After the first few uses, the odor will go away.
Location of Water Reservoir and Cord
The Water Reservoir and cord are located at the back of the Ice Shaving Chamber.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
After using your ICE SHAVING BLENDER, disconnect from electrical 1.
outlet. Remove plug by gripping the plug body and pulling out of
the outlet. Never yank or twist cord to unplug the unit.
Thoroughly wash the clear Pitcher and Pitcher Lid, Blending Blade with 2.
Rubber Washer, Ice Tray, Ice Chamber Lid, and Water Reservoir in warm,
sudsy water and thoroughly dry. DO NOT put the Motor Base in water.
When needed, use a damp, non-abrasive cloth to wipe exterior.
Once washing and drying is complete, reassemble your ICE SHAVING BLENDER.3.
Wind the cord and return to the convenient storage location at the back of
the Motor Base. Now your ICE SHAVING BLENDER is ready to use again.
