Safety
do not tilt more than absolutely necessary and lift
only the part which is away from the operator.
Always ensure that both hands are in the
o
perating position before returning the appliance
to the ground.
13.Do not put hands or feet near or under rotating
p
arts.
14.Never pick up or carry a product when it is
operating or still connected to the mains supply.
15.Remove the isolator key:
- before leaving the product unattended for any
p
eriod;
- before clearing a blockage;
- before checking, cleaning or working on the
a
ppliance;
-
if you hit an object. Do not use your product until
you are sure that the entire product is in a safe
operating condition.;
-
if the product starts to vibrate abnormally. Check
immediately. Excessive vibration can cause
injury.
Maintenance and storage
1. Caution: Do not touch rotating blade(s)
2. Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure
the product is in safe working condition.
3. Check the grassbox frequently for wear or
deterioration.
4. Replace worn or damaged parts for safety.
5. Only use the replacement parts specified for this
product.
6. Be careful during adjustment of the product to
prevent entrapment of the fingers between
moving blades and fixed parts of the machine.
7. Store in a cool dry place and out of reach of
children. Do not store outdoors.
8. Allow the product to cool for atleast 30 minutes
before storing.
Recommendations for Optimal Handling of the
Battery
1. Ensure the switch is in the off position before
inserting battery pack. Inserting the battery pack
into machines that have the switch on invites
accidents.
2. Keep the battery charger away from rain or
moisture. Penetration of water in the battery
charger increases the risk of an electric shock.
3. Recharge only with the charger specified by the
manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one
type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when
used with another battery pack. Do not charge
other batteries. The battery charger is suitable
only for charging lithium ion batteries within the
listed voltage range. Otherwise there is danger of
fire and explosion.
4. Keep the battery charger clean. Contamination
can lead to danger of an electric shock.
5. Before each use, check the battery charger, cable
a
nd plug. If damage is detected, do not use the
battery charger. Never open the battery charger
yourself. Have repairs performed only by a
qualified technician and only using original spare
p
arts. Damaged battery chargers, cables and
plugs increase the risk of an electric shock.
6. Do not operate the battery charger on easily
inflammable surfaces (e. g., paper, textiles, etc.)
o
r surroundings. The heating of the battery
c
harger during the charging process can pose a
fire hazard.
7. Use only appropriate battery packs intended
specifically for the machine. Use of any other
b
attery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
8. When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from
o
ther metal objects like paper clips, coins, keys,
nails, screws, or other small metal objects that
can make a connection from one terminal to
another. Shorting the battery terminals together
may cause burns or a fire.
9. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected
from the battery; avoid contact. If contact
accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid
contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help.
Liquid ejected from the battery may cause
irritations or burns.
10.Do not open the battery. Danger of short-
circuiting.
11.Protect the battery against heat, e. g. against
continuous intense sunlight, fire, water, and
moisture. Danger of explosion.
12.Do not short-circuit the battery. There is danger of
explosion. In case of damage and improper use
of the battery, vapours may be emitted. Ventilate
the area and seek medical help in case of
complaints. The vapours can irritate the
respiratory system.
13.Protect the battery against moisture and water.
14.Store the battery only within a temperature range
between 0°C and 50°C. As an example, do not
leave the battery in the car in summer.
15.Occasionally clean the venting slots of the battery
using a soft, clean and dry brush.
The battery is supplied partially charged. To ensure
full capacity of the battery, completely charge the
battery in the battery charger before using your
product for the first time.
The battery can be charged at any time without
reducing its service life. Interrupting the charging
procedure does not damage the battery. The battery
includes built-in protection against deep discharging.
When the battery is run down or discharged, the
product is shut off by means of a protective circuit:
The blade no longer moves.
Battery
Battery Charging
1. Connect the charger to the power supply – mains
voltage and operating voltage of the charger
must be the same – see "Charging Procedure".
Operate the charger only in enclosed and dry
rooms at ambient temperatures between 0°C and
45°C.
2.
Push the battery pack into the charger
(K).
