Managing the battery module and the add-on module
The WR11XX is shipped with a rechargeable Li-Ion battery module and an add-on
module mounted on the external expansion slots, these are interchangeable.
The battery module
The rechargeable Li-Ion battery module allows, in certain conditions, more than 4
hours of operation. This is an average value that depends on the use of the product:
intensive radio communications may reduce the operating time; we suggest having at
least one spare battery pack available.
Please note that the battery pack is discharged when delivered and therefore needs to
be charged before first use.
It is recommended that you fully charge the battery before setting up
the WR11XX for the first time.
The add-on module
The module, depending on the model purchased, can integrate one of the following
features:
Standard
WWAN
GPS
WWAN + GPS
RFID
If the add-on module integrates the GPS feature it is recommended to
mount the module on the external expansion slot that is farthest from
the user’s body.
