TO USE THE BACKLIGHT:

Somewatchmodelsareequippedwithan

electroluminescence(EL)backlight.To

turnonthebacklight,pressthebacklight

button.

Ifthereisnoseparatebacklightbutton,

pressthecrowntoactivatethebacklight.

SCREW-DOWN CROWN

Somewatchmodelsareequippedwith

ascrew-downcrown.Makesuretoun-

screwthecrownbeforepullingoutthe

crownforsetting,thenscrewthecrown

backintightlyaftersettingtoavoidany

waterentry.

TO USE THE COMPASS

Theredpointerofthecompassrepre-

sentsthedirectionofmagneticNorth(N).

Withreferencetotheredpointer,youcan

thenlocatethedirectionsofEast,South

andWest.
