IMPORTANT NOTE

About Cleaning and Disinfection

In February 2019, Roche Diagnostics released Analyzer Bulletins (TP-00244, TP-00245, TP-00408,

TP-00409) removing 10% bleach as an approved method of cleaning and disinfecting for CoaguChek

XS meters. Subsequently, after receiving customer feedback regarding the value of using 10% bleach,

we are amending the direction provided in the bulletins referenced above. Should you choose to use

10% bleach solution (1 part bleach and 9 parts water) as a cleaning/disinfecting agent, please be

aware that after approx. 400 wipes this may reduce the meter life expectancy, resulting in meter error.

Please refer to the CoaguChek XS System User Manual for instructions on how to clean and disinfect

the meter. This has no impact on our policies in regards to meter warranty or replacement.
