Star Trac Selectorized Strength - Installation Checklist
Use the checklist below to ensure proper installation of Star Trac Selectorized Strength:
Ensure all hardware and parts in the package are accounted for
Ensure all counter balance weights have red loctite applied to the bolts securing them to the frame
Apply blue loctite to all pivot point fasteners and seat selector plate fasteners
Apply all-purpose grease to the channel guides for the incremental weight plate and make sure the
track bolts are tight
Make sure the set screws at the bottom of the guide rods are tightened
Verify lock-n-load switches have the large screws on the right side of the weight plates. If not replace
with larger screws
Test that each lock-n-load selector pin engages the selector rod with ease and does not bind
Check for proper alignment of weight plates and top plate selector rod
Make sure the proper weight stack stickers are on the shroud (metric is standard) If “lbs” are needed
clean the area with isopropyl alcohol and apply the “lbs” sticker over the existing “Metric/KG” sticker
MUST Ensure the Top Rubber cap is removed prior to moving the unit in any way. Once the unit is in
the final setup location, apply the large weight stack rubber foot then the shrouds and lastly the top
rubber bumper.
On Inspiration: make sure the bottom rubber foot of the weight stack seats correctly. If there is
trouble with seating it, cut off the lip of the foot and it can be seated correctly against the bottom of
the shroud
Check all weldments for straightness, perpendicularity and parallelism
ROMs are secure and adjust freely without resistance or squeaking sounds
