HALO® PureNight™ Pure Air Sleep System
Follow these instructions to assemble your PureNight
air filtration
system. Only a tape measure is required during assembly.
Set Up the Tower
1. Place the tower assembly on a level surface next to the side of
the bed on which you normally sleep.
2. To vertically align the tower assembly, turn the foot pegs under-
neath the tower legs (Figure 1) to the right or left.
Figure 1: Foot pegs for vertical alignment
3. Slide the legs inwards or outwards to a minimum 45° angle.
A 90° angle is recommended for greater stability (Figure 2).

Conceal the Central Filtration Unit
1. Slide the central filtration unit—attached to the acoustic tube,
foot switch, and power supply—underneath your bed.
2. Adjust the flexible acoustic tube as necessary until all cords and
components, except the tower assembly, are beneath your bed.
To prevent restricted air flow, leave at least 6 inches of space
around the air-inlet grill on the central filtration unit.
The central filtration unit is designed to fit underneath a
standard-sized bed frame. If the unit does not fit beneath your
bed, we recommend you insert risers under each bed post. If
you are still unable to slide the unit under your bed, you may
position the unit on its side, on a level surface next to the bed.

Choose the Correct Elbow
Choose the right or left elbow based on which side of the bed you
normally sleep. Think of driving a car. You drive on the left side of
the car, from the driver’s vantage point. Figure 9 indicates the right
and left positions, from the sleeper’s vantage point. Use this vantage
point when choosing the correct elbow.
Figure 9: Right and left from the sleeper’s vantage point
Table 2 lists the correct elbow choices as well.
Table 2: Correct Elbow Choices
Elbow When to Use
Right (noted by an R sticker) You sleep on the right side of
the bed, from the sleeper’s
vantage point.
Left (noted by an L sticker) You sleep on the left side of
the bed, from the sleeper’s
vantage point.

shown in Figure 16.
Figure 16: Height adjustment button
2. Press the button as you raise or lower the tower assembly.
3. Remeasure to ensure the bottom of the arm is 18–20 inches

System Operation / 13
HALO® PureNight™ Pure Air Sleep System
You are now ready to operate your PureNight
air filtration
system.
Turn the System On
1. Place the foot switch on the floor next to your bed, away from
possible damage.
2. Tuck the foot switch cable beneath your bed.
Do not place the foot switch on a nightstand or any other raised
surface. The foot switch could fall and break.
3. Press down on top of the foot switch (Figure 17) to turn the
system on and select the fan speed, which is indicated by a
green LED light. We recommend low speed for nighttime use
and high speed for daytime use.

The foot switch also contains a “Change Filter” LED indicator, as
shown in Figure 18. The light flashes amber when the pre-filter
needs to be changed. The light flashes red when the HEPA filter
needs to be changed.

Table 4 describes the “Change Filter” LED indicator as it relates to
changing the filters.
See “Change the Pre-Filter” on page 17 and “Replace the HEPA
Filter” on page 18 for more information.
Use Day and Night
Your system is designed to operate with the PureNight
arm
attached for nighttime use. For daytime use, we recommend you
operate your system with either the arm attached or with the tower
cap in place of the arm. See “Store the System” on page 16 for more
information.
