► The plug must be removed from the socket-outlet before the
water reservoir is filled with water.
► The appliance must not be used if it has been dropped, if
there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking.
► The appliance must only be used and rested on a stable surface.
► If the SUPPLY CORD is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its authorized service agent or similarly quali-
fied person in order to avoid a hazard.
► Never bend (kink) or crush the power cord; always route it in
such a way that it cannot come into contact with hot surfaces
and so that no one can step on or trip over it.
► Never touch the power cord or the plug with wet hands.
► Never use the appliance near water contained in a bath,
shower, sink or other vessels. The proximity of water is haz-
ardous, even if the appliance is turned off.
► Stop using the appliance if the anti-kink protection on the
power cord is damaged!
► Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the appliance.
► To reduce the risk of contact with hot water emitting from
steam vents, check appliance before each use by holding it
away from body and operating steam button.
► Hold the appliance only by the handle when it is hot.
► Use only the ironing temperatures suitable for the material as
stated in the care instructions. Otherwise, you could damage
the fabric. If you do not know the correct care instructions,
start with the lowest temperature setting.
► Place the appliance only on a level and heat-resistant surface.
The appliance must be stable.
► If the clothing care instructions forbid ironing, ( symbol), the
clothing item may not be ironed/steamed. Ignoring this warn-
ing could lead to permanent damage to the clothing item.
