6. Never wash the cleaner with water and avoid using
it in a bathroom.

8. Inappropriate handling of the battery may cause
heat, fire or explosion. Please be sure to heed the
following precautions.
䡬 Do not use a battery other than the specified battery.
䡬 Do not short-circuit across the battery terminals with
a metallic object.
䡬 Do not put the battery in a bag or box which contains
a metallic object such as a nail.
䡬 Do not throw the battery into the fire.
䡬 Keep the battery away from rain and water.
䡬 Never disassemble or modify the battery and do not
pierce it with a nail.
䡬 Do not charge the battery at temperatures outside
the range of 0 - 40°C.
䡬 Charge the battery in a well-ventilated place.
䡬 While charging the battery, do not cover the cleaner
or charger with a cloth.
䡬 When the charger is not in use, disconnect it from the
receptacle and the plug from the cleaner.
䡬 Do not use the battery if its operating time has been
shortened significantly.
9. Use the specified charger only.
䡬 Using an inappropriate charger may cause leakage,
heat or explosion of the battery.
䡬 Never use the charger for purposes other than
charging batteries.
10. Make sure to use the charger at the specified supply
voltage.
䡬 Using the charger at inappropriate voltages may cause
fire or electric shock.
䡬 Do not use the charger with a DC power source or
engine generator.
11. Do not connect/disconnect the charger with wet
hands.
It may cause electric shock.
12. Consider the surrounding environment of the work
area.
䡬 Do not use the cleaner, charger or battery in the rain
and in a damp or wet place.
䡬 Keep work area well lit.
䡬 Avoid using the cleaner or charging the battery in a
place where flammable liquid or gas is present.
13. Use the specified accessories and attachments.
Use the accessories and attachments specified in this
manual or in our catalog.
14. To prevent risk of fire, be sure to heed the following
precautions.
䡬 Do not charge the battery on a paper product such as
cardboard, on a fabric product such as cushion, or on
a straw mat. Ignoring this may cause fire.
䡬 Do not charge the battery in a dusty place. It may
cause fire.
15. Keep the charger plug away from metallic objects
and water.
16. When not in use, store the cleaner properly.
Do not store this cordless cleaner in a place where
temperature may rise to 50°C or higher (in a metallic
box, in a car, etc.).
5) Battery tool use and care
a) Recharge only with the charger specified by the
manufacturer.
A charger that is suitable for one type of battery
pack may create a risk of fire when used with
another battery pack.
b) Use power tools only with specifically designated
battery packs.
Use of any other battery packs may create a risk
of injury and fire.
c) When battery pack is not in use, keep it away
from other metal objects like paper clips, coins,
keys, nails, screws, or other small metal objects
that can make a connection from one terminal
to another.
Shorting the battery terminals together may
cause burns or a fire.
d) Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected
from the battery; avoid contact. If contact
accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid
contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help.
Liquid ejected from the battery may cause
irritation or burns.
6) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair
person using only identical replacement parts.
This will ensure that the safety of the power tool
is maintained.
PRECAUTION
Keep children and infirm persons away.
When not in use, tools should be stored out of reach of
children and infirm persons.
PRECAUTIONS FOR CORDLESS CLEANER
1. Prevent the appliance from sucking in the following:
Fire or injury may result.
䡬 Foaming liquids such as oil, hot water, chemicals or
detergent.
䡬 Generated spark during metal grinding or cutting.
䡬 High temperature things, such as lighted cigarette.
䡬 Inflammable substances (gasoline, thinner, benzine,
kerosene, paint, etc.), explosive substances
(nitroglycerine, etc.), combustible substances
(aluminum, zinc, magnesium, titanium, red
phosphorus, yellow phosphorus, celluloid, etc.)
䡬 Sharp things, such as nail and razor.
䡬 Solidification materials, such as cement powder and
toner, and conductive fine dusts, such as metal
powder and carbon powder.
2. Do not use the appliance with its suction opening or
exhaust opening obstructed. The temperature of the
motor may rise abnormally, causing troubles such as
deformation of parts or motor burnout.
3. Do not operate the appliance when the suction
opening is blocked.
The motor may overheat, causing deformation of
parts or malfunction of the motor.
4. When you drop or bump the appliance accidentally,
check for breakage, crack, or deformation in the
appliance. Breakage, crack or deformation may cause
injuries.
5. When the appliance is out of condition or emits
abnormal sound during use, immediately turn off the
switch and request repair from your local retailer or
authorized servicing agent. If you continue to use the
appliance as it is, it may lead to injuries.
