Introduction
e entire family of United States Stove Company would like to thank you for purchasing your new pellet burning grill. At U.S. Stove,
we build all of our products with a hands-on approach to detail and quality. Our old world team of Crasmen take great pride in their
superior workmanship to ensure you have years of trouble free use out of your pellet grill.
Use only wood pellet fuel specied by the manufacturer. It is important to use only pellet fuel that is dry and free from dirt or other
impurities. e pellet fuel industry has established standards for wood pellet manufacturers. We recommend that pellet fuel used in all
U.S. Stove pellet burning grills meet or exceed the following specications:

It is important to note that the ash content of the fuel and frequency of operation will determine the frequency of which you will be
required to clean your pellet grill. A high ash fuel may result in daily cleaning, while a low ash content fuel may result in less frequent
cleaning.
Occasionally, impurities in the fuel will cause a hard mass build up in the burn pot of your Pellet Grill. Impurities, such as silica, can
virtually form little glass balls when subjected to the high heat generated in the burn pot. When allowed to collect, a hard base build up
may block air ow through the burn pot, which will signicantly aect the performance and eciency of your Pellet Grill. It is a good
idea to check the burn pot for any hard mass buildup or other blockage on a daily basis, and if necessary, let the burn pot cool and then
clean the burn pot.
U.S. Stove Company realizes that it cannot control the quality of pellet fuel you choose to use in your Pellet Grill;
U.S. Stove assumes no responsibility for that choice.
CAUTION: BE SURE TO STORE PELLET FUEL A MINIMUM OF 3 FEET (914.5MM) AWAY FROM THE PELLET GRILL.

Do not throw this manual away. is manual has important
operating and maintenance instructions that you will need
at a later time. Always follow the instructions in this
manual.
is appliance is designed for the use of pelletized fuel
that meet or exceed the standard set by the Pellet Fuel
Institute(PFI). e use of other fuels will void warranty.
Use only pelletized fuel formulated for cooking.
Never use gasoline, gasoline-type lantern fuel, kerosene,
charcoal lighter uid, or similar liquids to start or “freshen
up” a re in this appliance. Keep all such liquids well away
from the appliance when in use.
Do not unplug the grill if you suspect a malfunction. Turn
the ON/OFF SWITCH to “OFF” and contact your dealer.
Your grill requires periodic maintenance and cleaning (see
“MAINTENANCE”). Failure to maintain your grill may
lead to improper and/or unsafe operation.
Disconnect the power cord before performing any
maintenance! NOTE: Turning the ON/OFF Switch to
OFF” does not disconnect all power to the electrical
components of the grill.
Never try to repair or replace any part of the grill unless
instructions for doing so are given in this manual. All other
work should be done by a trained technician.
Allow the grill to cool before performing any maintenance
or cleaning.
Disposal of ashes – Ashes should be placed in a metal
container with a tight-tting lid. e closed container
of ashes should be placed on a non-combustible oor or
on the ground, well away from all combustible materials,
pending nal disposal. When the ashes are disposed by
burial in soil or otherwise locally dispersed, they should
be retained in the closed container until all cinders have
thoroughly cooled.
Do not touch the hot surfaces of the grill. Educate all
children on the dangers of a high-temperature grill. Young
children should be supervised when they are in the vicinity
as the grill.
e hopper and grill top will be hot during operation;
therefore, you should always use some type of hand
protection when refueling your grill.
A power surge protector is required. is unit must be plugged
into a 110 - 120V, 60 Hz grounded electrical outlet. Do not use
an adapter plug or sever the grounding plug. Do not route the
electrical cord underneath, in front of, or over the grill. Do not
route the cord in foot trac areas or pinch the cord under any
object.
e grill will not operate during a power outage. If a power outage
does occur, check for unsafe burn conditions that might have
occurred.
Never block free airow through the open vents of the unit.
Keep foreign objects out of the hopper.
e moving parts of this grill are propelled by high torque electric
motors. Keep all body parts away from the auger while the grill is
plugged into an electrical outlet. ese moving parts may begin
to move at any time while the grill is plugged in.
Do not place clothing or other ammable items on or near this
grill.
is appliance is not intended for commercial use.
Warning: Operate your pellet grill only on a noncombustible oor
or provide oor protection adequate to provide ember protection
around grill.
Creosote-Formation and need for removal. When wood pellets
are burned slowly, they produce tar and other organic vapors that
combine with expelled moisture to form creosote. e creosote
vapors condense in a relatively cool oven ue and exhaust hood
of a slow burning re. As a result, creosote residue accumulates
on the ue lining and exhaust hood. When ignited, this creosote
makes an extremely hot re.
When grease or creosote has accumulated, it should be removed
to reduce risk of re.
Do not use accessories not specied for use with this appliance.
Follow these guidelines to prevent this colorless, odorless
gas from poisoning you, your family or others.
Know the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning: headache,
dizziness, weakness, nausea, vomiting, sleepiness, and confusion.
Carbon monoxide reduces the blood’s ability to carry oxygen. Low
blood oxygen levels can result in loss of consciousness and death.
See a doctor if you or others develop cold or u-like symptoms
while cooking or in the vicinity of this appliance. Carbon
monoxide poisoning, which can easily be mistaken for a cold or
ue, is oen detected too late.
Alcohol consumption and drug use increase the eects of carbon
monoxide poisoning.
Carbon monoxide is especially toxic to mother and child during
pregnancy, infants, the elderly, smokers, and people with blood
or circulatory system problems, such as anemia, or heart disease.

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE INSTALLING AND USING THE APPLIANCE.
Tools and Materials Needed For Installation:
You will need a #2 phillips screw driver for assembly. Using a drill with a phillips bit will speed the assembly process. Two (2) 1/2” socket/
wrench to install wheels. A 5mm hex drive to install the lid and side handle. You will have to remove the grill contents for assembly. Do
NOT remove the Searing Station.
Step 1: Base and Pedestal Assembly
1. Attach levelers to base by threading into the rivet nuts on the bottom of the base.
2. Attach the axle and wheels to the base using the supplied nuts and washers. - DO NOT over tighten or wheels will not spin.
3. Assemble the pedestal using 10 tinnermann clips and 3/8” bolts along the sides. (Slide tinnerman clip over side panel ange and align
with predrilled holes. e clips are to be installed in the round holes, not the obround holes. Insure clip is oriented as shown, with short
side of clip facing the bolt.)
4. Attach the pedestal to the base using 6 tinnermann clips and bolts along the bottom.
5. Attach main grill body to assembled pedestal with 6 tinnerman clips and bolts along bottom of grill body.

Step 4: Wiring Assembly
1. Remove side table electrical plate.
2. Route main wiring harness through hole in electrical plate
and connect the conduit tting to the plate.
3. Route temperature probe wires through the rubber
grommet and connect with wires from side table.
4. Replace the side table electrical plate.
Insure all electrical connections are inside the table before
securing the electrical plate.

Step 5: Grill Surface, Drip Pan, and Flame Plate Assembly
Place ame plate in bottom of grill body.
Center cutout in ame plate around auger body.
Front of ame plate is to rest on ame plate mount.
Insure ame plate is level.
Place right drip pan onto grease drain support pad.
Place le drip pan onto drip pan mounts. (le drip pan rests on top of right drip pan.)

Initial Firing Procedure
To Be Used on Initial Firing: (Searing Station is installed by Manufacturer. DO NOT remove.)
1. Open the lid and remove the grilling surface, drip pan and ame plate.
2. Open the pellet hopper lid and check for foreign objects in the hopper.
3. Plug the grill into a three wire, grounded wall outlet.
4. Press the power button to turn the unit on.
DO NOT TOUCH THE AUGER OR THE IGNITOR!
5. Open the hopper lid and check to see that the auger is turning freely - approximately 2 rpm.
Look to see that the auger is
turning. DO NOT TOUCH.
6. Place your ngers over the burnpot and feel the air movement from
the combustion blower. Ignitor will glow within 1 minute
7. Press the Power Button to turn the unit o.
8. Before replacing the removed components, Clean all items with
soap and water, then rinse and allow to dry. Re-install components.

PREPARING TO USE YOUR GRILL
Important: You must season the grill before cooking any food on your grill for the rst time. e unit must be operated
at 500° for 1 hour with the lid closed. is allows any oil residue from the manufacturing process to burn o and also
allows the high temperature paint to cure. Avoid placing any items on the unit during this period as the paint could be
permanently damaged.

Standard Use Operating Instructions
Always make certain that the grill is setting level or is slightly tilted towards the drip bucket.
Standard Startup Sequence:
1. Fill the hopper with pellets. Be sure to close and latch the hopper lid. Burn only pellets that are specically manufactured for use in
pellet grills and cookers. Never leave pellets in the hopper. Only use the amount of pellets needed to cook for any given time.
2. Open the grill lid and press the “Power” button. e “Cook” or “Smoke” mode lights will begin to ash indicating that the grill is in
its startup sequence in the respective mode. e grill will automatically light 5 to 8 minutes aer pressing the “Power” button.
NOTE: e startup mode will last approximately 15 minutes. It is normal for the grill to smoke excessively during startup.
3. Set the control board to the desired cooking temperature using the “Cook Temp” buttons on the control board. Temperature settings
are in 5°F increments.
4. Once the grill ignites, you will hear a owing sound slightly louder than the blower motors of the grill. You should also notice a
signicant reduction in the amount of smoke being produced. Close the grill lid once ignition has occurred.
NOTE: Allow the grill lid to remain closed during the pre-heat and as much as possible during cook time. Feed rates
during run mode are determined by temperature readings, so each time the lid is opened, the temperature goes down, and
thus, the auger feeds more. is can lead to potential overcooking of food.
5. You can easily check the actual temperature compared to the set-point temperature by using the “Display” button on the control
board. is allows you to determine when the grill has preheated to your desired cooking temperature.
NOTE: During the startup, the grill temperature can exceed the set-point temperature. So, it is recommended that you
leave the display in “Actual” to monitor the temperature readings and avoid overcooking or burning. You can easily tell
if the stove is still in startup by the Cook or Smoke light blinking (depending on which mode you have the grill set).
6. When startup time (15 minutes) has been met and the grill has reached its set-point temperature, you are now ready to add food.
NOTE: As previously mentioned, keep lid closed as much as possible to maintain constant cooking temperature.
Temperature may uctuate slightly.
Standard Shutdown Sequence:
1. When you are ready to turn the grill o, press the “Power” button.
2. e display will go blank and the grill will enter a shutdown mode where the blower will continue to run until it has reached a safe
temperature.
NOTE: e Cooklight will remain solid and the “Smoke” light will ash during this sequence. Shutdown sequence
can take up to 1 hr depending on the cook temperature and the outside temperature.
DO NOT TURN THE GRILL OFF BY UNPLUGGING IT.

Operating Tips
When the grill is plugged in, the control board will ash through a sequence of letters and numbers before going to a blank display screen.
When you turn the grill “ON” the Mode in which the grill is in ashes for 15 minutes, until startup sequence is nished.
Grill operating temperatures are 180° F to 500° F.
When grill is rst turned “ON”, the control board will go to 350°, on rst ignition. If grill has been used, the control board will go to the last setting used.
Smoke mode is from 180° to 295°. e combustion blower does pulsate during “Smoke Mode” but only aer startup mode is reached (the blower
does not pulsate for rst 15 min of operation).
Combustion blower is on constant during “Cook” Mode and does not vary in speed.
If you turn the grill o during “Startup” Mode, everything shuts o without a shutdown sequence.
If the ame plate is installed improperly, a burn back may occur due to the airow restrictions at the burnpot.
e Searing Station control is operable from the toggle switch only. Only turn on the searing station for the needed time of use. Make sure to turn the
searing station o when not in use.
e searing station will function even if the grill is not in operation. Always unplug the grill when not in use.
It is not recommend using the Searing Station during your general cooking needs, as it can interfere with the temperature sensor. Only use the
searing station to quickly sear your food and then turn it o. e searing station takes approximately 5 minutes to reach a searing temperature
during use in the grill “Cook” settings.
If you are in “Cook” mode and change to “Smoke” mode, the temperature will automatically go to 295°.
If you are in “Smoke” mode and change to “Cook” mode, the temperature will automatically go to 300°.
Temperature control doesnt begin to read and control feed rate for 15 minutes, due to the 15 minute start up sequence.
Make sure to unplug your grill only aer it has gone through the shutdown sequence, cooled o, and is not in use.
• DO NOT unplug your grill during use or to shorten the shutdown sequence.

Clean Drip Pan:
Note: Let the unit cool to ambient temperature before inspecting or cleaning your grill.
1. Remove the main grilling surface. (DO NOT remove the searing station.)
2. Scrape drippings down grease drain and into grease bucket provided.
3. Clean drip pan with food safe de-greasing agent.
4. Insure all cleaning solvents and chemicals are rinsed thoroughly aer cleaning.
5. Empty grease bucket if necessary.
6. Reinstall grilling surface.
Failure to clean and maintain this unit as indicated may result in poor performance and hazardous situations. e maintenance
schedule must be adjusted based on use to insure proper operation and maximum eciency of your pellet grill. When you are
performing any maintenance on your grill, make sure the unit has been turned o, allowing full shutdown sequence, and then
unplugged from the power source.
Inspect and clean burn pot:
Note: Let the unit cool to ambient temperature before inspecting or cleaning your grill.
1. Remove the main grilling surface, drip pan, and ame plate. (DO NOT remove the searing station.)
2. Inspect the burn pot to check that the combustion air holes have not become plugged. If necessary, clean thoroughly.
3. Replace the ame plate, drip pan, and grilling surface.
Inspect hopper for nes:
Note: Let the unit cool to ambient temperature before inspecting or cleaning your grill.
Periodically check the hopper for pellet dust (nes) build up. e accumulation of nes can reduce the eciency of your grill, increase the chance
of hopper res, and other unsafe operating conditions. If dust (nes) accumulate suciently, vacuum out and reload hopper with new pellets.
Ash removal:
Note: Let the unit cool to ambient temperature before inspecting or cleaning your grill.
1. Vacuum to remove ashes from burn pot and bottom of grill body.
BE SURE THAT THE ASHES ARE COOL TO THE TOUCH BEFORE VACUUMING. Some vacuums may leak ash.
Your vacuum should have a special lter or bag to eliminate leakage.
2. Dispose of ashes into metal container.
Disposal of Ashes:
Ashes should be placed in a steel metal container with a tight tting lid. e closed container of ashes should be placed on a non-
combustible oor or on the ground well away from all combustible materials, pending nal disposal. If the ashes are disposed of by burial
in soil or otherwise locally dispersed, they should be retained in the closed container until all cinders have been thoroughly cooled. Do
not place other waste in the same container.
Inspect and clean combustion air blower:
Note: Let the unit cool to ambient temperature before inspecting or cleaning your grill.
DANGER: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK. DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE SERVICING UNIT.
Over time ash or dust may accumulate on the blades of the fans. e fans should be inspected and if any accumulation is present
vacuumed clean as the ash or dust can impede the fans performance.
1. Open the service panel by removing the two screws, then tilting down.
2. Inspect the fan for dust or ash build up. Clean if necessary.
3. Close the service panel and reinsert screws.

Troubleshooting
AFTER GRILL HAS BEEN ON FOR A WHILE, THE BURNPOT OVERFILLS

4. Combustionblowerisnotspinningfastenough. Cleanfanbladesandinspectbearingsforwear.Ensurethefanisfree
ofanyobstructions.
5. Bad Pellets.
Thebrandofpelletsorthebatchofpelletsthatarebeingusedmaybeof
poorquality.Ifpossible,tryadifferentbrandofpellets.Youmightalso
wanttotryabrandthatismadefromadifferenttypeofwood(softwood
vs. hardwood). Different woods have different characteristics when
beingburned.

1. Badigniterelement. Putpowerdirectlytotheigniterelement.Watchthetipoftheigniterfrom
thefrontofthestove.Afterabout2minutesthetipshouldglow.Ifitdoes
not,theelementisbad.
2. Thecontrolboardisnotsendingpowertotheigniter. Checkthevoltagegoingtotheigniterduringstartup.Itshouldbe110-
115volts.Ifthevoltageislowerthanfullvoltage,checkthewiring.Ifthe
wiringchecksoutgood,theboardcouldbebad.

1. Powergoesoutduringoperation. Observethegrilltomakecertainunsafeburningconditionsdonotoccur

1. Thermocoupleisdefective. Wait for the stove to cool for about 30 - 45 minutes. Check the
thermocoupletoseeifit’sbad.Checkresistancewithvoltmeter.
2. BadAugerMotor. Removethetworetainingscrewsintheservicepanelandswingoutof
theway.Removetheaugermotorfromtheaugershaftandtrytorunthe
unit.Ifthemotorwillturn,theshaftisjammedonsomething.Ifthemotor
willnotturn,themotorisbad.
3. AugerJam. Startbyemptyingthehopper.Thenremovetheaugermotorbyremoving
theaugerpin.Removethetwoscrewsholdingtheaugerbushing.Gently
pulltheaugershaftstraightoutsothattheendoftheaugershaftcomes
out.Afteryouhaveremovedtheshaft,inspectitforbentights,burrs,
orbrokenwelds.Removeanyforeignmaterialthatmighthavecaused
thejam.Also,checktheaugertubeforsignsofdamagesuchasburrs,
roughspots,orgroovescutintothemetalthatcouldhavecausedajam.
4. Loosewireorconnector. Check allwires andconnectors that connect to the auger motor,
thermocouple,andthefan.
5. Badcontrolboard. Ifthefuseisgood,thewiresandconnectorscheckoutgood,andthehigh
limitswitchdidnottrip,testforpowergoingtotheaugermotor.Ifthere
isnotafullcurrentgoingtotheaugermotorwhenthefuelfeedlightis
on,youhaveabadcontrolboard.
