Power failure backup
Thisappliancehasabackupfunctionthatremembersthestatusbeforeapowerfailure,
providedthepowersupplyresumeswithin10minutes.Ifthepowerfailureoccursduring
acookingprocess,thecountdownofthecookingtimecontinueswhereitleftoffwhen
thepowersupplyresumes.Ifthepowerfailurelastslongerthan10minutesandthefailure
occursduringacookingprocess,thebreadmakerautomaticallyresetstothepresetsetting
whenthepowersupplyresumes.Openthebreadmaker,removeitscontentsandstartall
overagain.Ifyouhavesetthetimerandthepresetcookingprocesshasnotyetstartedwhen
apowerfailureoccurs,thebreadmakerautomaticallyresetstothepresetsettingwhenthe

4 Use your breadmaker
Beforetherstuse
1 Removeallpackagingmaterialfromtheappliance.Becarefulnottothrowawaythe
kneadingblade.
2 Removeanylabelsfromthebodyoftheappliance.
3 Toremoveanydustthatmayhaveaccumulatedontheappliance,wipetheoutsideof
theappliance,thebreadpanandthekneadingbladewithadampcloth.
Note
• Neverusescouringpads,abrasivecleaningagentsoraggressiveliquidssuchaspetrolor
acetonetocleantheappliance.
4 Dryallpartsthoroughlybeforeyoustarttousetheappliance.
Prepare your breadmaker and ingredients
1 Putyourbreadmakeronastable,horizontalandlevelsurface.
2 Turnthebreadpananticlockwiseandliftitout.
3 Pushthekneadingbladermlyontotheshaft.
4 Measuretheingredientsfortherecipeyouwanttoprepare(seetherecipesbooklet).
• Alwaysmeasureingredientsaccurately.
• Allingredientsshouldbeatroomtemperatureunlessrecipesuggestsotherwise.
5 Putingredientsinthebreadpanintheordertheyarelistedintherecipe.
• Alwaysaddliquidingredientrst,andthenadddryingredients.
• Donotlettheyeasttouchthesalt.
Note
• Donotaddmorequantitiesthanmentionedintherecipeasitmaydamagethebreadmaker.
• Alwaysuseactivedryyeastwiththisbreadmaker.
• Theyeastshouldbedryandseparatefromotheringredientswhenitisaddedto
thebreadpan.
• Butterandotherfatsshouldbecutintosmallpiecesbeforeputtinginthebread
pantoaidthemixing.
• Ifnecessary,useaspatulatoscrapedownthesidesofthebreadpantogetthe
mixturestickingtothewallbacktothemix.
• Duringthemixingstage,therewillbebeepsoundstoalertyoutoaddadditional
ingredientssuchasnutsifyouwish.
6 Putthebreadpanintheappliance.Turnthebreadpanclockwiseuntilitlocksinto
position.

• Ifthebreadpanisnotassembledproperly,thekneadingbladedoesnotturn.
7 Putdownthehandleofthebreadpanandclosethelidoftheappliance.
8 Putthemainspluginthewallsocket.
» Theappliancebeepsand‘1’and‘3:55’appearonthedisplay,whichreferstothe
‘White’program.
Set your breadmaker
1 Press (menubutton)repeatedlytoselecttheprogram.
• Theselectprogramnumberandprocessingtimearedisplayed.
• Fordetailedprogramdescription,seesection‘Breadrecipe’below.
2 Press (crustcolorbutton)repeatedlytoselectthecrustcolor.
• Theselectedcrustcolorcanbechangedfromlighttodark.
3 Press (loafweightbutton)repeatedlytoselecttheloafweight.
• Makesuretheselectedweightisappropriatefortheamountofingredientsofthe
selectedrecipe.Seesection‘Breadrecipe’below.
4 Press (Start/stopbutton)tostartbreadmakingprocess.
Caution
• Duringthebakingprocess,thebreadmakeritselfandthelidbecomeextremelyhot.Becareful
nottoburnyourself.
» Thedisplaycountsdowntheprocessingtimeuntilthebreadisready.
» Whenthebakingprocessisnished,thebreadmakerbeepsandgoestothekeep-
warmmode(for60minutes).
Preset time for delayed baking
Youcanusethetimerifyouwantthebreadtobereadyatalatertime.Themaximumdelay
timethatcanbesetis13hours.

• Donotusethetimerfunctionwithrecipesthatrequirefreshingredientsthatmaygobad,for
instanceeggs,freshmilk,sourcreamorcheese.

1 Topoweroffthebreadmaker,removethemainsplugfromthewallsocket.
2 Usingpotholdersorovenmitts,openthelidandturnthebreadpananticlockwise.
3 Grabthebreadpanbyitshandleandliftitout.
4 Turnthepanupsidedown,holdthehandleandshakethebreadout.

• Donotusemetalutensilstoremovethebread,asthesemaydamagethenon-stickcoatingof
thebreadpan.
• Becareful,thebreadpanandthebreadarehot.
5 Usethehooksuppliedtoremovethekneadingbladefromtheshaft/bread.
• Alwaysmakesurethatthekneadingbladedoesnotstayinsidethebread,
otherwiseyoumaydamagethekneadingbladewhenyouslicethebread.
6 Letthebreadmakercooldownbeforeyoucleanit.

• Ensuretheyogurtcontaineristhoroughlywashedwithwarmwaterandsoap,anditis
driedbeforemakingyoghurt.
• Fullfat,skim,or2%milkcanbeused.
• Makesuretheyoghurtisfreshandthustheculturestarterisactive.
1 Themilkandyoghurtmixtureproportionis10:1(Forexample:400mlmilkwith40ml
yoghurt).
2 Pourmilkintotheyoghurtcontainer.
3 Addyoghurtintotheyoghurtcontainer,andmixwell.
4 Closeandtightenthelid.
