Draper Forestry Helmet

The Draper Forestry Helmet is designed to provide essential impact protection to the wearer’s face, especially from recoiling twigs, falling sticks, and other forestry hazards. The helmet comes with ear muffs that comply with European Standard EN352-3:2002 for hearing protection. The ear muffs are attached to the helmet by a wire band that can be pushed inward for a secure fit.

The helmet's face protector is made of either metal screen or PC visor. It is important to replace the visor if it becomes scratched, cracked, or has holes larger than 10mm. The visor should also be replaced if the connection point between the screen and frame becomes loose or damaged.

It is recommended by the manufacturer that the wearer should ensure that the Face Protector is
fitted, adjusted, maintained and regularly inspected for service ability in accordance with this
instruction and it should be worn at all times in a working environment.
PROTECTION GRADE:
You should put this protector in a plastic bag for the purpose of transporting it. This protector is
mainly designed for gardening and forestry work. It provides an essential impact protection to
the wearer’s face, especially from a recoiling twigs, falling sticks etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
The hearing protector complies with the requirements of the European Directive 89/686/EEC
annex II by means of European Standard EN352-3:2002 "Hearing protector-safety requirements
and testing Part 3" ear muff attached to an industrial safety helmet.
METHOD OF FITTING:
1. Insert the headband into the safety helmet’s lots until they snap into place. When in use the
wire band must be pushed inward until you hear a "click" on both sides, indicating a shift from
"stand-by" to usage.
2. Make sure the ear muff and wire bands are not in contact with the inner lining or the edge
of the safety helmet when in the "usage" position., otherwise, this may lead to leakage.
CHECKING:
It is strongly advised to replace the metal screen visor or PC visor as long as there are too many
scratches, crack, hole bigger than 10mm on the mesh type screen. Also if the connection point
of screen and frame appeals leakage and loose and could not provide you safety protection
against hit or impact from an object any more. In general, the lifetime is about 6 months but it
particularly depends on the ambient condition where you wear it.
CLEANING, MAINTENANCE AND STORE:
Store before and after use in cool, dry conditions and away from direct light. Clean it by soft
cloth with warm, mild soapy water or clean water after use.
WARNING:
The material used in contact with the wearer’s skin may be adversely affected by certain
chemical substances and the PE head frame might cause allergic reactions to susceptible
individuals. Further information is available from the manufacturer.
