Inserting and replacing batteries
Open the battery compartment on the bottom side by sliding the
cover of the battery compartment in the direction of the arrow.
Insert three Micro/AAA type batteries, with the correct polarity
(observe Plus/+ and Minus/-). After that, the vibrating alarm emits a
brief vibrating and audio signal.
If you wish to use rechargeable batteries please note
that, due to the lower output voltage (batteries = 1.5 V,
rechargeable batteries = 1.2 V), the operating time will de-
crease.
Therefore, we recommend that you use high-quality alka-
line batteries to operate the vibrating alarm clock in order
to ensure long-lasting and reliable operation.
Then, put the cover on so that it snaps in.
The batteries need to be changed if a message is indicating that the
batteries are empty is displayed in the app.
Controls

Downloading the app
Start the Apple AppStore or Google Play Store and download the “BleAlarm” app.
The app is compatible with all smartphones and tablets that are equipped with Blue-
tooth
®
4.0, for example, iPhone 4S or higher.
If you are using an iPad, you may switch to the AppStore to display the iPhone apps in
the search mode (top left display “iPhone only” instead of “iPad only”); otherwise, the
app is not found.
When using an Android device, at least Android 4.3 is required as operating system for
the app to be displayed and downloadable in the Play Store.
Connecting the vibrating alarm clock to your smartphone/tablet
Both devices must be paired with each other for the vibrating alarm clock to work with the app
(“pairing” - or coupling process in Bluetooth
®
).
Proceed as follows:
Make sure that the Bluetooth
®
function is activated on your smartphone/tablet.
Start the “BleAlarm” app.
In the home screen of the app, no paired devices will be displayed when you start for the first
time. Touch the lower button to pair a new device. A message then appears indicating that the
pairing button on the vibrating alarm clock should be pressed for 5 seconds.
Hold down the “PAIR” button on the bottom of the vibrating alarm clock for 5 seconds; a beep is
audible and the LED on the top is flashing rapidly in blue. The pairing procedure is activated.
You will find a new vibrating alarm clock in the app; if you touch the corresponding button of
the app the pairing process will complete. The LED on the alarm clock now flashes 1x every
6 seconds in blue.
The pairing must be done correctly; otherwise, the vibrating alarm clock cannot be
used.
Up to 5 vibrating alarms can be simultaneously controlled via the app.
Note that a vibrating alarm clock can be paired with only one smartphone/tablet. There-
fore, it is not possible to control a vibrating alarm clock by multiple smartphones/tab-
lets.
After completing the pairing process, the time, date and the available alarm and timer settings
are synced. In addition, the app displays the battery status of the vibrating alarm clock.
Operation
Renaming the vibrating alarm clock
Tap the name of the vibrating alarm clock
in the app (“vibrating alarm” in default set-
ting), and you can now change the name, if
desired.

Displaying the battery status
The battery level of the vibrating alarm clock is represented by a battery symbol in the main menu
of the app:
> 60%
20% - 60%
< 20%
When the batteries are low (< 20%), a warning message is also displayed in the app - replace the
batteries with new ones.
Setting the alarm time
Touch the corresponding button in the app to create a new alarm.
Set the desired alarm time. You can specify the day of the week for the alarm, the alarm tone and
volume; even the name of the alarm can be set.
If no day is selected, the vibrating alarm clock sounds the alarm only once when the set
time is reached.
If the alarm is no longer needed, it can be temporarily disabled (turn off alarm). You can also com-
pletely delete the alarm.
Confirm the setting/selection in the top left so that the display of the app returns to the main menu.
The vibrating alarm clock has an internal clock and after setting via the app, it can work
independently of the smartphone / tablet.
Time and date of the vibrating alarm clock automatically sync with those of your smart-
phone / tablet each time you are connecting via Bluetooth
®
, so that no manual adjust-
ment is necessary.

To stop the alarm, press either the button on the top of the vibrating alarm
clock or the button “ALARM”.

adjust the duration of the alarm.
By default, the automatic summer/winter time changeover is also activated; this can
be turned off in the set-up mode.
In the bottom two rows of the set-up mode, the current time zone is displayed and the date on
which the changeover between summer/winter time is made.
Timer function

If the timer is stopped prematurely, then a button appears to the right of the time to
reset the timer (to the timer time set by you).

whether you want to clear the vibrating alarm clock. The vibrating alarm clock is removed from
the app. when the button is touched.
If you want to reconnect the alarm clock to the app, then proceed as described in the
“Pair alarm clock with smartphone/tablet“ chapter.
