1.4 Brief Description of ACS-2563
The ACS-2563 is a fanless Design high-efficiency thermal solution railway-application
BOX PC, powered by Intel Atom Processor D2550 1.86GHz CPU and supporting 4GB DDR3
SDRAM onboard. It comes with 1 x VGA, 1 x DVI-D, 1 x MIC in, 1 x Line-Out, 4 x COM ports, 1
x power switch button, 2 x LED indicator for storage, 4 x LED indicator for LAN and 2 x USB 2.0.
It also comes with 4 x USB 2.0, 2 x GbE LAN and 1 x DC power input all by M12 connector. It
supports 1 x 2.5 SATA2 HDD, 1 x external CFast slot, 2 x mini PCIe expansion, 1 x SIM card
slot, and 9~36V DC wide-ranging power input. It is EN-50155 certificated. The ACS-2563
works very well along with any of our Display series and it absolutely can provide an easy way
to perform control and field maintenance.

Chapter 2 Motherboard
ACS-2563 comes with CM-PC104-CT25 motherboard and ECB-09 baseboard. This chapter will
introduce and describe the specification, dimension, connectors, and jumpers setting of
these two boards.
2.1 Motherboard Introduction

CM-PC104-CT25 is X86 Core Module, onboard Intel Atom D2550 Processor, Onboard 4GB
DDRIII SDRAM, ADOtec designed 120Pin expansion interface Connection to the baseboard.

2.1.2 Baseboard Introduction - ECB-09
ECB-09 is a x86 Baseboard for x86 Core ModuleCM-PC104-CT25),which provides abundant
peripheral interfaces to meet the needs of different customers. Also, it features dual GbE
ports, 4-COM ports, two Mini PCIE configuration, one VGA port ,one DVI-D port. The product
is widely used in various sectors of industrial control.

Pin1-3: HDD LED, They are used to connect hard disk activity LED. The LED blinks nwhen the
hard disk is reading or writing data.
Pin2-4: POWER LED, They are used to connect power LED. When the system is powered on
or under S0/S1 state, the LED is normally on; when the system is under S4/S5 state,
the LED is off.
Pin5-6: POWER on/off Button, They are used to connect power switch button. The two pins
are disconnected under normal condition. You may short them temporarily to realize
system startup & shutdown or awaken the system from sleep state.
Pin7-8: RESET Button, They are used to connect reset button. The two pins are disconnected
under normal condition. You may short them temporarily to realize system reset.
Pin9-10: BUZZER, They are used to connect an external buzzer.
Note:
When connecting LEDs and buzzer, pay special attention to the signal polarity. Make sure
that the connector pins have a one-to-one correspondence with chassis wiring, or it may
cause boot up failure.
