Please, read and understand the manual prior to any
installation.
Please follow the instructions, especially those relating to the
following:
the auxiliary securation of burner,
the proper installation of turbulators,
the removing of the film from the reflectors,
the proper sealing of tubes,
the proper setting of burners,
the using of original spare parts (alu flex tube cannot be used),
the prohibition on the drilling of expanded pieces,
the using of only water as lubricant when the expansion pieces are
joined,
the prohibition on sealing the combustion air openings of the LAS
system,
The picture documentation of exhaust gas measurement and installation can be
found at the end of the manual.
After installing the heater, please, send us the completed
installation record. Please, note that failure to send us this
record leads to voidance of the warranty.

1. INTRODUCTION
The appliance should be installed in compliance with the local regulations in force. Only
trained, qualified personnel may install the heater. Before installation, check that the type and
pressure of gas comply with the relevant specifications.
2. ASSEMBLY
1.) Apply sealant uniformly onto the inner part of the expanded pipe in the length of
approximately 80 mm from the end of the tube.
2.) Insert the non-expanded part of the next radiant tube, repeating the process until the
proper shame and length is achieved. Next, secure joints with self drilling and taping
screws (three per joint), placing the screws at 120°.
3.) The turbulator should always be placed in the last tube (the one before the exhaust
system).
Please, note that for some constructions more than one turbulator is to be installed. The
turbulators (provided) have to be riveted to each other and slided into the last radiant
tube (the one before the exhaust system).
4.) After the tubes are assembled, slide the combination hangers and reflector supports into
place. Do not vary the location of hangers any more than ±100mm from the
recommendations. (Refer to Picture on Page 4).

5.) Slide the reflectors into place and overlap them 50 mm minium.As the length of reflectors
and radiant tubes changes differently, secure no more than two reflectors together. Secure
the burner side reflector shields using the self drilling and taping screws provided.
Reflector assembling

2.) Place the reflectors onto each other so that the tabs of the reflectors cover
each other.

3.) Next, push up the tabs (two per slots) using a screwdriver at least by 90°.
4.) Connect the reflector supports as per the instructions in Section 2.2. (Page 5).
Four reflector support are provided for the appliance IT-DR 54 / OMEGA 9U,
and two reflector support are provided for the applianceIT-DR 46 / OMEGA 6U.
Note: The reflectors expand and contract during use.
The installation method presented prevents that reflectors slide off of each other and stick together during
contraction, which would reduce their available space and could lead to the damage of the reflectors.
Always make sure that reflectors can easily move in their supports. If required, the outer edges of the reflectors
can be pushed carefully (about 15 cm before and after the support).
VERY IMPORTANT:Before installation, remove the film from the internal part of the
reflector!!!!!!!
6.) The burner can be secured to the burner tube in two different ways:
a.) Securing to the burner tube with a clamp (normal construction):

The clamp is pre-assembled to the burner tube. Without using burner sealing paste, push
the screw (bumper) to the clamp. Tighten the clamp screws.
b.) Securing to the expanded tube (e.g. with L configuration):
Push the burner fully into the expanded tube without using sealing paste or clamp. Secure
it with three self drilling and taping screws.
Whichever method is used, always secure the burner with at least two other self
drilling and taping screws to the burner tube.
7.) Connect the combination hangers to the chains using carabiners.
NOTE: It is practical to assemble the appliance on the floor and then lift the assembled unit
into place using a lifting machine. If this is impossible, the heater can also be suspended in
several parts.
Important: Remove the film from the reflectors before installing the appliance.
2.1 Assembly distances of ‘L’ configuration

For OMEGA 3L (3 m design, full length), two combination hangers are enough in the
distance of 1800 mm. Secure the first hanger 700 mm from the front of the burner tube.

3. INSTALLATION, LOCATING
The appliance should be installed in compliance with the local regulations in force(G 638
IIworksheet, 904 worksheet: acceptance of heating installations, EN 13410, TRGI ...).
Minimum clearances to combustibles for fire prevention:
: depending on output
- 0.5 m above the reflector
- 0.8 m sideways
- 1.5 m downward
- 1 m lenghtwise

3.1 SUSPENSION
After defining the
location of hangers,
the appliance should
be suspended using
hangers (e.g. chains) with a minimum length of 400 mm. This is required because of
longitudinal deformation due to thermal expansion. Secure the hangers from the ceiling or

roof structure, support bars or scaffolding, next to the wall. Suspension is done through the
burner combination hangers and fastening eye.

4. GAS CONNECTION
The appliance can only be used with the gas type specified on the nameplate.
If the gas supply pressure exceeds 60 mbar, a pressure regulator has to be used. The pressure
regulator can be installed individually for each appliance or centrally. A gas filter is advised to
be installed for thepressure regulator to prevent clogging which might be caused by the
deposits that can occur in the pipes even if they are blown out. The connection to the gas
pipeline should be made from above or from the side as connecting from below enables the
accumulation of contamination.
The thermal expansion of the tube radiant heater has to be taken into consideration when
connecting the gas supply, therefore a flexible hose enabling an expansion of 100 mm should
be used. The tube should not be twisted during installation. Connection is made directly to the
½” connector with external thread. A cock has to be installed before the connecting hose.
4.1 OPERATIONS TO BE DONE
- GAS PIPELINE CLEANING

Before connecting the appliance to the gas supply system, the gas pipeline should be cleaned
fully and thoroughly.
- GAS TIGHTNESS TEST
Once the appliance is installed, the gas supply pipe should be checked for leakproofness using
one and a half times as great pressure as the permitted value (60 mbar). This should be done
every time the system is disassembled and then assembled.
5. ELECTRIC CONNECTION
The combustion air blower is secured to the burner and power is supplied through the main
feed wire. Both the blower and the gas burner automatics require 230V / 50 Hz mains voltage.
IMPORTANT:
- The burner can be connected to the electric network with the safety connector on the
casing next to the blower.
- Electric cable connection:
with plug or fixed connection
- Supply wire: 3 x 0.75 mm²
- The appliance is phase-sensitive, make sure to follow the connection arrangement below:
- Protection: 2 A electric fuse
- Before replacing a fuse, the appliance should be disconnected from the electric network.
The OMEGA tube radiant heater can be operated in automatic or manual mode:
In manual mode, interrupt power supply manually when the desired temperature is reached.
- several heaters can be connected in one heating zone.
- or switch off all the heaters one by one.
Automatic operation
Automatic operation is regulated by theswitchboard and thermostat preset for a week.When
the preset temperature is reached, the heater is switched off.
We recommend automatic operation.
6. COMBUSTION AIR SUPPLY

Combustion air can be supplied from different sources:
a.) air from the heated space,
b.) fresh outside air drawn in by the blower and conveyed by the ducting (LAS system)
The air in the heated space cannot be used as combustion air if the bulding has a negative
pressure and the atmosphere is contaminated with aggressive vapours, acid fumes, corrosive
substances, dirt, oil, etc, which would have an adverse effect on the blower and the ducting.
7. EXHAUST GAS EXTRACTION
According to Worksheet 904 of the Central Association of Chimney Sweepers and the
StandardEN 13410, exhaust gas can be extracted in the following ways:
Basic method recommended by us: exhaust gas extractionfor each appliance as a LAS
system (see figure below), DN 100/150
Indirect exhaust gas extraction using roof or wall blowers with a minimum capacity of
10m³/h/kW.
Natural venting (air change >1.5/h or less than 5W installed capacity per hall volumem³)
In case of excessive condensation, condensate should be conveyed in additional drains or
operate the burner for the required time (e.g. modification of hysteresis).
The exhaust gas extraction of the tube radiant heater has to be discussed preliminary
with the competent regional chimney sweeper. Authorization number of exhaust gas

Mount extensions here, if required
The customer is responsible for breaking through the roof. It is usually done by a tilesetter.
Flexible roof insulation ‘Ejot’ or universal roof hole with flanged disc can be supplied as an
accessory. Depending on the roofing, further connecting pieces can be ordered from the
tilesetter company.

PUTTING INTO OPERATION - OPERATION

The appliance can be put into operation by the technician specified by the manufacturer. The
warranty applies to the appliance only if it was put into operation in accordance with the
instructions.
Before the test run, gas tightness and pressure tests have to be performed for the gas network.
- Clean the radiant tube from contamination (e.g. dust).
- Make sure that the appliance is electrically grounded.
- Check that the power supply of the heater was not interrupted by the thermostat or the
weekly schedule.
- Open the gas valve.
- The appliance can be switched on with the controller.
- Check that the nozzle pressure reaches the required operating pressure after the magnetic
valve. The following pressure values are required for the different gas types: nozzle
pressure for natural gas H and L depending on the appliance type: 8.6 mbar; 10 mbar; 11
mbar or 12 mbar, for liquid PB-gas: 24.9 mbar.
As soon as voltage is applied to the appliance, the blower starts to rotate. After a pre purging
period of 30 seconds, sparks are produced and the gas valve is opened.
When the sensing probe detects the presence of the flame, spark is de-energized (it is de-
energized after 3.5 seconds in all cases), and the burner starts to heat (the green control light
on the bottom part of the appliance is ON).
If the sensing probe does not detect flame, the appliance is switched to safety mode (red
control lamp is ON)
When the appliance goes into ‘lockout’, it can be reset by removing the mains plug.
To measure the efficiency of LAS exhaust gas extraction, the combustion air temperature has
to be measured in the combustion air inlet pipe right before the blower. For this, insert the
thermometer into the flexible hose or cut a small hole into the flexible hose, then seal the hole
with adhesive tape after the measurement (no pressure tightness is required)
If required, the factory setting of the venting inlet aperture can be modified to obtain
values of about 1,4-1,65 (for natural gas) and about 1,85 (for liquid gas).
For the setting, exhaust gas analyser is needed.

Exhaust gas extraction and appliance settings have to be performed after a permanent
operation of 10 minutes minimum.
